Absolutely beautiful! Accommodation is totally luxurious and the view is amazing. Comfortable king bed and bath with a view were highlights. Will definitely be back again.

amazing time away

We had the most beautiful weekend at hickory moon. The views are breathtaking and the house was perfect. Maxine was a great host and ensured our needs were met at all times. We will definitely be back again!

Australia long weekend 2025

Overall experience was fantastic. House and view were both amazing. Very clean and well presented, labeled nicely which made things super easy and convenient. Highly recommend and will definitely be staying here again.

Ideal downtime in beautiful country property.

Very positive in all aspects. Great communication with property manager. The most amazing view and scenery in a well presented modern country farm stay.

One of the Best

The property is immaculate, the presentation and the photos simply do not do the property justice. The location is ideal, close enough but far enough from the township and the peace and relaxation for a stay at Hickory Moon exceeded our expectations. Hands down the best property we have stayed at!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!

Absolutely stunning views, spotless & cosy home. Peak luxury without sacrificing the comforts of your own home - aircon, fully equipped kitchen & smart TV's. The host is super friendly and welcoming! Couldn't recommend this place more.

Check in and communication was excellent.Location and property also excellent.Kitchen was missing a fe items which we had to purchase - paper towels, tea towels, peeler, knives need sharpening, extra dish cloths. Note: Oven needs checking as was on for over an hour and nothing was cooked and had to use the electrical frypan.

Absolutely Faultless

If you are looking for tranquility, you’ve found the right place. The views were truly breathtaking and the house was immaculate. Maxine was very accommodating and a pleasure to liaise with. A brilliant and note worthy experience all round!

Stunning views.

Hickory Moon is a relaxing property in very good condition. The living area and two bedrooms are very spacious with walls of double glazed windows taking it the fantastic view. We ate at the pub one night and cooked the other. The kitchen is well equipped and the gas stove great to use.

Sort getaway did not disappoint just relax and unwind

Enjoyed every minute even if it was raining still was very nice seat back look at view. Loved to come back but booked out very Popular

It's all about that VIEW!

We actually gasped at the view as we walked inside for the first time with Maxine - it's just incredible; and we remained fixated on it for the whole weekend. The house is really private & incredibly comfy - loved the snuggle chairs in the sun, slept really well, loved the double shower & having a bath looking out at the night sky The kitchen has everything you need to cook for yourselves We saw a pair of kangaroos out the back one morning & some black cockatoos greeted us as we arrived It's also close to some decent food (the Long Arm Farm cafe in Oberon & the Rockley Pub), Mayfield gardens, the pioneer rail trial (start from the end closest to the house) & we were lucky the Oberon farmer's market & the sheep dog trials in Tarana were on the weekend we were there. Highly recommended, and we'll be back!

Peaceful weekend only 5 mins outside of oberon

maxine (owner) was a great communicate and really helpful with arranging. We got beautiful snow which was pretty magical for two city sides. The place feels like a deluxe hotel but with so much privacy and yet close to oberon for any supplies. I thoroughly recommended maxines place and think youre getting the place for a steal!

Our 25th Wedding Anniversary getaway

A heavenly9 nights were spent here celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We had beautiful crisp sunny days, a day spent up in the moving cotton candy clouds, fabulous sunsets & sparkling Bathurst night lights. The views were picture perfect with endless wonderful cloud watching. We got SNOW! 4hrs of standing at the window like kids...even had a play outside in it! WOW what a place to share our love !

Beautiful, peaceful property with stunning views.

There is such attention to detail in this amazing property. The main windows are like looking at an evolving painting. The beds are so comfortable and we all felt so happy to stay here for three wonderful nights. Thank you Maxine!

Awesome place for retreat

The house is pearched on a gentle hill and facing the north west. Able to see the sunset on the left and see the landscape change through the day. The house is new and well kept. The king bed is firm and has a pillow top which suits us well like what we have. Love to idle on the rotating round sofa. The owner, Maxine, is helpful with directions and is couple of minutes away. No worries if you need help. The house is well insulated and has external covered with colorbond. The occasion contraction of the colorbond gave a banging sound which initially worries a city dweller like us but it has gone unnoticed after a while. There is no wifi inhouse, but has good data internet connection...then again go cold turkey with the internet when you are out there. On the whole, we love the place as it is spacious and peaceful for get away from the city, and is not too far from the city.

Thank you Vincent for your wonderful review. We are so glad you were able to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of Hickory Moon. We have not had any issues with guests needing wifi as the mobile data reception is outstanding and guests tend to use their own data. We can't get broadband where we are unfortunately. I agree with you, that cold turkey with the internet is ideal at Hickory Moon. It's the perfect spot to unwind from the world. We hope you will return one day to visit us again.
