If you want to enjoy the serenity of nature with all the amenities of the modern world , this Watauga Lake vacation home is for you. This beautifully - appointed mountain home has custom woodwork throughout. If you love to cook you will fall in love with the custom gourmet kitchen and vintage style appliances along with the large kitchen island bar where everyone gathers at. The large kitchen will allow everyone to relax and gather with the chef while meals are being prepared. The great room has wonderful cedar detailing with an authentic antler chandelier. From your outdoor deck and balcony take in the all encompassing views of Watauga Lake and the majestic grace of Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountain ranges.
There even is a secluded fenced in area off the side of the house where you can enjoy private views of pristine Watauga lake. The house is Pet Friendly with a $150 Pet Fee.
Watauga Lake is the 3rd cleanest lake in America with 13 species of game fish including
-Small Mouth and Large Mouth Bass
-Walleye
-Rainbow and Brown Trout
Watauga Lake appeals to White Water Rafters, IV Rapid Kayakers, Hiking, Jet Skiing, Boating, Sailing , Skiing and Camping. There is something for everyone here including those who just want to unwind peacefully, refresh and rejuvenate

Beautiful view and very nice cabin. Really loved the big kitchen. Overall really really nice. You could hear traffic noise from the deck which took away a little from the out in nature vibe. Besides that felt very private and surrounded by nature.

We had a wonderful time for my wife’s birthday weekend at this cabin. Located towards the top of a small mountain we had a beautiful view off of the deck where we made a small fire every night. The fenced in yard was great for dogs, and everyone we met in Butler couldn’t have been nicer! Also Johnson city is a 30-40 minute drive, and has lots of shops and great places to eat. But our favorite thing was enjoying the house, especially the really cool kitchen. We can’t wait to do it again.

Cute place to calm down and listen to stresses fall away. I really appreciate the owner having 2-3 deer grazing on the property every morning. Wonderful morning treat.

Renters beware, all is not what it seems. Photos from 5 or 6 years ago. Nice view of the lake and mountains.Cabin was poorly maintained and in disrepair.Cleanliness was non-existent. Master bedroom mattress was covered with urine and blood stained. Pillows were old, hard and stained. Bathroom rugs covered in urine stains. Rugs filthy. Sheets were not changed before arrival. Cobwebs and dust throughout the cabin.Deck was rotting with holes and dirty. Owner promised quick repair, never happened in our month long stay.Gourmet kitchen maybe 5 years ago, but now greasy with food stains and broken or damaged equipment. Ice maker not working, Fridge froze all food on top shelves at warmest setting overnight.Washer/Dryer was packed with dirt and lint. Moldy and musty smell. 4 hours for a complete single load.Bathroom floors and showers were sticky with dirt, hair and residue.Sewerage smell.WiFi was spotty, unable to work remotely.Requested to have cabin deep cleaned before arrival, based on other cleanliness comments from previous guests. Unfortunately it did not happen, barely cleaned. But housekeeper was able to leave an envelope for a tip.Reached out to the owner about cleanliness issues and response took 2 days and housekeeper was not available for 7 days. As we were told she was very busy multiple times.Very disappointing stay. Owner did compensate for some issues, but not enough for our time to clean and make the cabin livable.Find somewhere else to rent.

Nice and cozy, but needs a little maintenance

The property is beautiful as you can see in the pictures with great views, secluded spot in the woods, and very cozy cabin. Our family enjoyed spending Xmas together here. We did have some problems during our stay, but I will say that the owner was quick to respond when we reached out. On arrival the screen door was broken and the electric door lock did not work, and we had to reach out to get a code for the back door. Back door does not have a working light, so very hard to see in the dark at night on arrival. Many of the light fixtures were missing bulbs, or bulbs were burned out, or light switches did not operate anything that we could find. There was an envelope in the kitchen asking to leave the cleaner a tip, but there were cobwebs in the kitchen and bathroom, and we are already charged 225 for a cleaning fee as part of our booking. We also picked this cabin for the kitchen to make our Xmas dinner - the Stove is large with 6 burners but the oven was very small - and you have to find the instructions in the green book to reset the clock to make the oven work. Our girls did enjoy all the puzzles/games that are available in the cozy living room. Overall it was a nice stay, and as I mentioned the owner was quick to respond. I would recommend this cabin to others looking for convenience in the Butler area, and we did not have any problems getting up the drive as others mentioned.

Nice cabin

All in all the place was very nice. The kitchen was very well lit. So glad there were instructions on how to use the oven after the electric goes off. The place does need a little love. We had to replace some lightbulbs that were missing from lamps. Luckily there were some in a cabinet. The living room is very dark.

Antler cabin

Cabin is amazing. You can relax and enjoy family time without internet distractions. View is spectacular. Cabin has all and more of what you need. We definitely will be back.

AMAZING PLACE

So beautiful and secluded! Exactly what we wanted. Very well appointed home. Lots and lots to do within an hour drive in any direction, or just cozy up and read a book on the great deck! Host is very helpful and replies quickly. Highly recommended!

A Sweet Retreat

The cabin is beautiful on the outside and quaint and cute on the inside. The kitchen is beautiful and stocked with all the utensils and pots/pans, toaster, espresso machine and coffee maker, pasta maker, and more. The gas stove works perfectly and the kitchen takes you back in time! The cabin is decorated with pictures and more. You just feel right at home when you walk in. The cleanliness was top-notch. The lake and moutain views were amazing from the deck. This cabin is totally private. The driveway is a little narrow, but our wagoneer made it up, with or without 4wd. This is definitely where we will stay from now on when visiting TN. Its near everything too or within an hour drive time. This also has a fence and was perfect for our golden retriever. There are games and plenty of tvs with cable and great wifi. This home is very kid-friendly and dog friendly. You can just tell how much time, thought, and love was put into the cabin. We loved it here.

Perfect and peaceful

The Antler cabin is a wonderful getaway from the fast pace of daily life. It has wonderful amenities and great location to other activities. We enjoyed drinking our coffee with the beautiful view each morning.

Mountain cabin retreat

Overall the the rental met expectations and we enjoyed our stay. While the lake is a 1 minute walk, the lake frontage is all private and there is limited to no access to the lake for swimming by the cabin. Access to lake is at public access point around Lake Watauga.

Wonderful Mountain Cabin

This is such a great cabin; all the little decor touches were awesome "Go Vults". The kitchen was a great space for multiple things to be going on at once. We had a couple of issues, and I sincerely believe what happened was, that we were the first people to stay in the cabin after being closed up for the winter, and instead of the housekeeper giving it a deep spring cleaning, she just did a quick wipe down. We reached out to Sean, who was wonderful and felt awful, he truly wanted to take care of the situation, but ran into an issue with the housekeeper not being available right away. Honestly even after all is said and done, we would go back and stay there again, knowing what happened was an unfortunate situation, for everyone involved.

Family Reunion, Thanksgiving

The cabin was equipped very well for cooking meals of any size. We enjoyed our thanksgiving meal and then some. The cabin was family friendly. We loved the views and just how comfortable and homey the feeling was. When we left we actually felt the deer saying goodbye to us all. Going to make this a yearly tradition. Thank you for the experience!

We enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful home with amazing views! The deck needs some attention, but you can see it is being worked on. That being said, the only negative I would say is that whoever is working is not cleaning up after themselves completely. It in no way takes away from the home or the view, unless you want to let it, but it is a little untidy outside. The home is cozy and welcoming. The communication with the host was wonderful! It seems more and more that I've had to ask for check in info the day of the stay for other VRBOs, but he sent the info a week ahead. I was really appreciative of that. The bed in the master upstairs is very firm, but that is a matter of preference. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves!

Lovely Time

Great cabin with beautiful view. Loved the dog yard. On first glance, the property is clean on the surface, but could use a deep cleaning and some minor repairs. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
