Interior Highlights

The upstairs great room features soaring wood-beamed ceilings, comfortable seating, dining area, entertainment center, half bath, and laundry room. The gourmet kitchen includes an island bar, skylight, built-in desk, reverse osmosis drinking water system, and extensive cookware, dishes, and serving pieces for up to 12 guests.

Delightful stay in Kailua-Kona

This vacation rental was perfect for our family of 6 (2 seniors, 2 adults and 2 granddaughters 10 and 12). It was clean, roomy with lots of space for alone time if needed, 2 covered lanais (we ate outside everyday we were there for meals), and the kitchen was fully stocked in every sense of the word (even an electronic meat thermometer and a lime zester). The pictures and background information are very accurate, the property management company very quick to respond to queries, and the property well maintained. I highly recommend this property.

Family Trip of a lifetime

A family trip to make beautiful memories and create unforgettable moments. The house is well stocked with kitchenware and a very nice gift upon arrival. We utilized the lanai and pool daily; even during short bouts of rain. The views are gorgeous of the ocean, the garden has greenery and all different flowers in bloom. The frogs at night would sing us to sleep. Great place to stay and easy to get to and from all of our excursions!

We were thrilled with our stay at this location. It was so peaceful. We felt relaxed and felt at home immediately walking in the door. They even left an anniversary card for us and snacks. The view was amazing! We had everything we needed to make our meals at the house and we utilize the grill. We enjoyed the pool, as well. David, the concierge, was very helpful throughout our planning process! We are already thinking about our next trip there and will book this house again.

Hillside Paradise With a Sunset View

Puuwai Alii Place was an idyllic island retreat for us. The house is nestled into a peaceful, quiet neighborhood. The gardens and pool outside make a wonderful oasis, with a spectacular sunset view. The home is very comfortable and outfitted with everything you need, in generously sized rooms. All in all, the home is worthy of a top recommendation. The evening wildlife songs (frogs?) can't be ignored, so a note of caution if that boisterous night-long chorus would be a problem for light sleepers. Otherwise, the morning bird songs and sweet flowers around the property really make for a great stay.

Would come back to this house in a heartbeat

The house was just as wonderful as it looked in the pictures we saw online. The sunsets from the house were just magnificent- unforgettable. We had 7 family members staying together and there was plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen is very generously outfitted, and even had a Vitamix blender which we use at home on a daily basis to make smoothies, so we were super stoked to see that. We received regular emails before our trip and during our stay which gave us recommendations for things to do in the area and recommended restaurants. The frequent communicated was appreciated. (Notice: the recommended restaurants were all full and couldn't get a reservation, so I assume they must be good!! Try to reserve the recommended restaurants early!) The only thing that I would change is that I personally like firm beds and pillows, and the beds were fairly soft, but I realize that a lot of people like softer beds, including many of the others in our group, so that's just a matter of preference. I would definitely recommend this house, and would love to come back here sometime. It's a wonderful retreat space, and many thanks to the owner and management company.

Wonderful Property

We absolutely loved our stay. We couldnā€™t have been happier. The home was exceptionally clean and fully stocked with all of the amenities we needed, including cooking utensils and KitchenAid appliances. The location of the home is ideal for couples looking for a quiet getaway, as it rests in a quiet neighborhood that is only about ten minutes away from the nearest restaurants and grocery stores. We rarely heard our neighbors and much appreciated having such easy access to the city environs. Even in the middle of August, we slept comfortably without use of an air conditioner and at times even required blankets to stay warm during the night! We were also impressed with the house pool, which was clean and very well maintained. We took advantage of the poolā€™s solar cover, which can be manually pulled over the pool to keep it warm at night. The pool averaged about 85 degrees during our stay, which we enjoyed since my wife and I prefer swimming in warmer water. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and superbly maintained. Kona Coast provides exemplary customer service, as they provide swift communication and are responsive to their customersā€™ needs. It is apparent they run a tight ship. My wife and I will definitely be back next year.

Views, Pool and Well Stocked!

Love, love, loved this house! My husband and 2 kids (9,11 y/o) stayed here. We knew us was going to be good when we pulled in and the drive was beautifully landscaped and then we walked into the yard and saw the same care taken throughout the property. The kitchen was outfitted with EVERYTHING. I donā€™t think Iā€™ve stayed at a home with better kitchen tools. The pool was clean and well cared for and my kids loved it!!! I loved the views, the decor, and care that was taken with this home.

Perfect Hawaiian Retreat

This house was our own Hawaiian retreat completed with breathtaking views and beautiful landscaping. The house had everything we needed, except the groceries. The teens really loved the pool. The beds were very comfortable. And when we had a water heater issue, it was addressed promptly that very day. The concierge with Kona Vacations was amazing and helped us plan our whole trip to the Big Island. Our family is very grateful to have had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful home for our "trip of a lifetime".

The amazing pictures do not do this home justice. Everything was as advertised and more. The kitchen was amazingly well stocked. Everything we needed was there. Enough linens for everyone. There was also a great selection of beach items. The view from the lanai made for the perfect way to start and end the day. The pool was amazing and the kids had a great time. I enjoy being a bit off the beaten path a bit so didn't mind the short drives into town. And bring higher up have the perfect view. Would happily stay here again the next time we return to Kona.

What an amazing stay we had. This place had amazing views in the morning and in the evening. The pool was fantastic. Highly recommend this rental. Everything we needed to cook and all the extra little things that make it easier. There were extra snorkel gear and coolers in the garage which saved me money on renting those!

You never know if the property will be as listed, this one is! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Privacy, wonderful rooms, kitchen supplies are great, games, nice tv, great lanais. Beautiful Hawaiian landscaping. We absolutely loved the pool! Clean & warm, perfect way to end our days. Lastly, the view. Spectacular! A different sunset every day! We were here for 3 1/2 weeks and could stay here longer. Great communication between Kona Coast Vacations and our concierge service (David). Can't say enough wonderful things about this home. The best lodging in Hawaii

Puuwai Alii Place is so gorgeous and the ocean view from the lanai is spectacular. The house perfectly accommodates 3 couples plus 2 teens or kids. My group of 8 women were very pleased with the whole house, the lovely gardens, and proximity to town. It's a bit of a drive to the beach and other points of interest, but at the end of the day we looked forward to going "home" because this place truly made us feel right at home. Definitely unforgettable experience for us and highly recommended to anyone checking out this place for future rental.

RE: Kona Oasis

The house was perfect for our family! It was equipped with great kitchen and beach amenities. The beach carts, chairs, umbrellas and beach toys were an added bonus! The pool is beautiful with foliage surrounding the yard, but keep it covered if you want it to be warm. The house is very spacious, but note there are a lot of stairs. Lastly, David with the concierge service that comes with the house was very helpful! We would visit this property again and Mahalo for the memories.
