Leopolda Dream home is a large, bright apartment of about 85 square meters located at one of the ancient gates to the historic center of Florence! Inside a building, the apartment has two bedrooms, a large living room, kitchen and a bathroom. Decorated in a mixture of classical and modern with air conditioning and WiFi in all the rooms! The location is strategic and is an essential element in order to reach the main tourist attractions of the city like: Santa Maria Novella, Piazza Duomo, the Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, Fortezza da Basso, the new Teatro Comunale etc .. It is also well connected by public transport, such as bus and tramway. The area is equipped with all necessary facilities such as bank, post office, supermarket, restaurants, bars.
These features make Leopolda dream home the ideal place to spend peacefully and in comfort your stay in this beautiful city.
The price does not include the tax for the city of Florence. The amount of 5,50 euro per person per night (children under 12 excluded) is required and is payable on arrival.

Beautiful apartment

Good location but uncomfortable, dirty, smelly and missing essentials

We've rented many apartments for short stays over the years and we're sad to say this was one of the worst. The first thing that was apparent was that the place was not cleaned well. The sheets and covers were dirty and clearly had not been replaced - there was hair in several beds! We were also told that the mini-splits were controlled by the building and couldn't be turned on until June, as though we don't know how mini-splits work. The first night was extremely uncomfortable because it was hot and because the mattresses are thin, cheap spring mattresses (who uses spring mattresses any more?). Lorenzo did agree to give us the remotes for the A/C (which is advertised in the listing, Florence is hot in May!) and changed the sheets on three of four beds (hair was left in the 4th one, which we didn't need but still....). The rest of the stay was better but the overall cheapness of the place affected the whole trip. There is no cutting board, and barely any counter space. No hot pads. many other kitchen essentials are either cheap or missing. There is an outdoor market several times a week and 50 euros would go a long way towards outfitting the place. We bought some stuff but shouldn't have had to. The other problem was a constant smell of cigarette smoke. It was advertised as "no smoking" and there were several signs to that effect but someone smoked regularly on the other side of the doors (it's a larger apartment that was divided) and blankets under doors didn't help.

Amazing home

This place is very lovely with easy access to the local tram, local dining, and fun sight seeing adventures. The host was very kind and helpful. We highly recommend this place and would gladly stay there for our next visit!

Review

This place is kinda far from Florence proper. Sleeping at this property is very difficult. The host did not allow us to turn on the air conditioning even though it was hot. He told us to open the windows which made it very noisy because of the city sounds. Most importantly, the beds are very uncomfortable and I could feel every spring. Every furniture piece was very old and in bad condition.

Five Friends Trip

The property was as expected. Check in was very easy. Had a bit of a plumbing issue but owner, and his mother, were very prompt in getting it fixed. Lorenzo was very helpful in arranging taxi service for us as we were not having luck in getting one on more than one occasion. There was no coffee pot and no instructions about use of air conditioning, so that is something that would be helpful to future bookings. Was well worth the money and enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful apartment in Florence!

We really enjoyed our stay here! Lorenzo was very friendly, responsive and helpful! The apartment was very spacious and had everything we needed and more. The location was perfect and was within walking distance to many attractions. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Fantastic location, lovely, comfortable home to spread out and relax after a day of running around

This was our favorite vrbo home of the entire trip. It is so well located on a quiet street but close to everything. It feels comfortable like like a home and not a "rental". There was so much space to spread out and plan for our next days-- the bedrooms are big and light filled and we felt very relaxed staying there. AND-- Lorenzo was generous, kind, helpful -- the ideal person to work with. I will stay there agian hopefully in the near future!

A wonderfully spacious apartment in a very convenient neighbourhood

Wow, truly this is a dream home. Such a stylish and spacious apartment. We had all the facilities we needed for a few nights' stay in Florence. The apartment was footsteps away from the bus and tram stops which was amazingly convenient but did mean there was a little traffic noise, so if that's something that might disturb you, please pack some ear plugs rather than disregard this beautiful property! The neighbourhood has a variety of shops for supplies including bakers and coffee shop and a little convenience store which, along with the tobacconist nearby also has tickets for the bus and tram. It is possible to walk to the train station and the centre of town in 15-20 minutes.

Elegant and central

A lovely property that is just a 20 minute walk along the Arno River to historic Florence. From yummy restaurants, to a convenient grocery store to public transportation, we had everything we needed just steps away from our front door to make our stay a perfect one. Lorenzo our host was very welcoming, informative and generous.

We love staying here. Lorenzo and Miss Marta are wonderful hosts. The apartment is clean, comfortable and airconditioned The C2 & C3 Busini and T-1 Tram to SMN all board around the corner from the front door.

Charming Host and Fantastic Apartment

Host: Lorenzo super nice, friendly, welcome my arrival by waiting for me at entrance, always responded all my message quickly. Provided all tourist info, included maps, trains, bus, café/restaurant, attraction/ historic places. Apartment: Super clean with zero dust, nice dining room, comfortable mattress, nice kitchen with completed equipment, strong wifi in 24hrs. I loved this apartment with reasonable cost. 10-15mins to reach centre and all public transport just in front of entrance or easy to access and to visit by foot. With Lorenzo awesome host, who make my parent a lovely /unforgettable trip in Florence. He never decline my call no matter what time I contact him. With Lorenzo best service and excellent clean place, I strongly recommend his place to all my friends or relatives who plan to visit Florence. You will never regret to choose this apartment in Florence.

perfect apartment within walking distance of the centre of Florence

Lovely large apartment. Perfect for the quick stopover we had in Florence. Only 20 minutes walk to the centre and with a great cake and pastry shop minutes away. Highly recommend and am hoping my husband and I can return some day... without the children!

Wonderful apartment - spacious, charming and quiet.

Lorenzo is a fantastic host, and this apartment is wonderful and immaculate. We stayed with our twin twelve year olds and had plenty of room. Lorenzo greeted us with a map, instructions and was very helpful. We liked the neighborhood. It is far from the madding crowds, and trust me, Florence was teeming with tourists. It is not far from the train station; it took us 10-15 minutes to walk most places. We will stay here again!

Fantastica posicion y amabilidad del Sg. Lorenzo.

Lo mas importante para mi fue la posicion, es un puesto ideal para descansar, dormir bien sin ruido en la noche , mas o menos 10 minutos caminando de la estacion, nosotros estabamos sin carro e ibamos al centro caminando disfrutando de las bellas calles y negocios de Florencia , el apartamento es ideal para una familia , o cualquier tipo de turista, se puede cocinar se encuentran dos grandes supermercados muy cerca donde comprabamos para cocinar y saborear un delicioso chianti, esta bien equipado, muy limpio, grande y acogedor. recomiendo este apartamento a todos porque dificilmente se consiguen puestos asi con todas estas comodidades y a buen precio. El Sg.Lorenzo estaba a nuestra disposicion para cualquier necesidad . Cuando regresare a Florencia seguramente voy a este mismo lugar, gracias de nuevo al Sg.Lorenzo.

Excellent home and host

The home is cleanly kept in quiet and secured building. About 10 minute walk from the train station. Ideally situated to walk to all central areas of Florence. The home has great air conditioning and can easily sleep at least 4 adults in its two bedrooms. Although we did not use the kitchen, it is a great home for those with young families or for those who would like to cook breakfast or lunch, but with so many nearby restaurants, why cook. Lorenzo was at the home to greet us and speaks great English if your Italian is rusty. He has a couple of recommendations for local eating spots and you can't go wrong with this home. If we ever come back to Florence, we would hesitate on staying here again. Santoyo Family

Ottima sistemazione

La casa è davvero bellissima, nuova e sistemata davvero a puntino. Lorenzo è un host gentilissimo e super disponibile. Addirittura ci sono stati forniti beni di prima necessità come sale, olio, the, caffè, bagnoschiuma e shampoo. Il soggiorno è stato piacevole, anche per i due bambini di 5 e 8 anni: essendo al primo piano siamo riusciti a non disturbare nessuno, pur cercando di fare attenzione e non far fare loro chiasso. La posizione è ottima: non lontana dal centro, ma lontana dal caos e dal rumore della città che altrimenti ci avrebbe impedito di riposare come avremmo voluto. Oltretutto è praticamente attaccata alla fermata del tram che porta a Scandicci o alla stazione di Santa Maria Novella, e ai bus C2 e C3 che permettono di arrivare in pochissimi minuti in centro. In qualsiasi caso a piedi si raggiunge facilmente ogni tipo di attrazione turistica nel giro di 20/30 min. Uniche due note dolenti: la casa purtroppo puzzava molto di fumo e una volta arrivati a casa, nel disfare le valige, ci siamo accorti che i vestiti erano rimasti impregnati di quell'odore, pur essendo rimasti per pochi giorni. E la pulizia del bagno sarebbe stata notevole se non fosse stato per dei capelli trovati negli angoli. Per fortuna il resto della casa brillava e non vi era traccia di polvere. Molto probabilmente, quando torneremo a Firenze, torneremo in questa sistemazione poichè ci siamo trovati davvero bene! Grazie mille! Chiara
