Dune Rose is a round cottage with a classic design, situated close to the beach. Relax on the spacious deck encircling this cottage, where you can take in the ocean and listen to the waves. Take pleasure in the sheltered porch connected to the bedroom on the lower level. Many beds available for the fishermen. 4 bunk beds for queens, 1 twin. Close to nearby shops and eateries. Dune Rose offers comfort and is situated in an excellent location, making it an ideal spot for a vacation. Every guest must bring towels, linens, and paper items. Dune Rose has been styled and equipped according to the preferences of the owners. A Coffee Maker, Microwave, Toaster, Pots and Pans, Dishes, Cutlery, Silverware, Glasses, Mattress Pads, Pillows, and Blankets or Comforter are included. Fees for reservation, partial stays, taxes, and insurance may be applicable.
In case of cancellation or change in any reservation, no refund will be made by Dolphin Realty or the owners we represent unless the unit is re-rented and confirmed by the newer reservation for the cancelled period. All cancellations and changes are subject to a $75.00 charge, reservation fee; Trip Cancellation and Travel Insurance premium, Property Protection and Credit Card Processing Fee if applicable. Please notify our office of any changes as soon as possible. No refunds will be issued due to lack of fish or inclement weather. The offered Trip Cancellation and Travel Insurance covers many unforeseen and emergency situations.

Absolute Gem

I can't say enough about this place! Check in was easy, the house was very clean. Management answered all my questions very quickly. It slept 4 adults and 6 kids comfortably. The views are spectacular! I can't wait to stay here again!

Absolutely perfect for what we needed

Location is great. House had everything we needed. There was one issue with the glass broken on the coffee table topper. I messaged the manager and she replied quickly and was so helpful.

Nice place!

This is a cute place to stay. You’re mostly secluded, nice walk over the dune to the beach, and have stores within reason. The upkeep could be better; the hose on the sweeper downstairs is being held together with tape as well as part of the dishwasher. We had water come in through the sliding doors when it rained. Overall though good place. The three outdoor showers are excellent! Communication with the booking agent was perfect!

OBX Avon stay

Was a bit smaller than it looked in photos. No TP upon arrival and needed instructions on how to use the heat. Top floor was amazing and location was great!

Just perfect!

The house was perfect for us! Even our fur baby enjoyed his stay! We loved the wrap around porch and the view! The hammock was such a cute touch as well! We loved how close it was to some of the 4x4 beaches as well. Location was perfect, and the house was perfect. We look forward to coming back soon!

Was disappointed with the fact that the dishwasher was not working was not communicated up front and felt "strung along" when each day it was not known when it would be repaired.

Family Time

With the virus our family was able to vacation together and I could see most of our grand children and have a fun week. Few people were on the beach so it made it a great week with family.

Location excellent

We enjoyed this property for the most part. It was well equipped, spacious and a short walk to the beach, and local restaurants etc. the house requires some maintenance but it was nothing that effected our time there. Pricing for off season is fair.

Lovely setting, with maintenance problems

We came off season for a much needed getaway. We knew we weren’t renting a high end place, but we were disappointed in some simple problems that should have been fixed. One of the doors didn’t lock properly, so we had to create a way to jam it from the inside. Upstairs toilet runs unless you know how to jimmy it. Lots of light bulbs were out. While the house was a tad dusty, it was not a big deal. But the grounds were littered with trash that was unpleasant. The tiles are coming up in the floor of the master bath and the room is on a noticeable slant. We didn’t use them because of the temperature, but if it had been warmer, the fact that most of the screens are shredded would have been a problem. With a little routine maintenance, the house would be fine.

Great location, Great gathering spaces

Dune Rose has a short walk over the beautiful dunes to the beach. It is close to Hatteras and all the amenities in Avon. The open living space on the top floor is lovely and works well for a crowd. The kitchen was well-equipped for any type of cook. Great wrap-around upper deck with sunrise and sunset views. Nice outdoor showers. The sleeping quarters on the lower level leave a little bit to be desired. Things were a bit musty, even for the beach, and the master bath seems to be drooping a few inches. Some of the windows don't work well and many screens are damaged so you cannot enjoy the evening breezes without lots of bugs. But the AC worked well so it was at least cool enough. Overall it was a good experience and would consider renting again.

Great location for a dog friendly beach vacation

Before booking I read the reviews. One mentioned the exterior being weathered and in need of a face lift. The exterior is weathered but the sea air is tough but it was fine for us and did not bother us. The location is great. Right on the beach in an area with fewer houses so the beach is virtually private. Great Resstuarants within two miles and a Supermarket a mile away. The second floor is just a great living area with a view of the ocean with that beautiful ocean breeze. Although it is pet friendly, We brought one of our five dogs, you could not tell whether other renters have. There was no signs of other pets being brought.

Best family vacation ever!!!

From my long morning walk on the beautiful, clean, beach to start my day. To campfires at night with the moon glistening over the ocean as our backdrop. I am in love with OBX and with Dune Rose. This was actually what a vacation should be. Relaxing! Everything you need at your fingertips. No packing to sit on an overloaded beach, trying to find a square for your towel. Just grab your towel and head out the back door. Sick of the beach? No waiting for everyone else to be done to pack up for the journey back. Just head back in. The beach house was beautiful and affordable. I definitely see myself going back. I actually wish I could own it so i could invite everyone i know to enjoy. Being directly on the beach in OBX is heaven on earth.

Pet therapy, People not so much!

Our dogs had a fabulous time running down balls and jumping waves all day as the beach was nearly empty our entire stay. It was great to see them enjoy their freedom on the beach unlike most places we have stayed. The upper deck was perfect to let them roam around and enjoy the view and many sniffs unfamiliar to their noses. As a dogs life goes, it was pure heaven. As far as the accommodations for the human counterparts, not so much. The poor tired old house is soon to reach the end of it's physical and economic life. I really suspect the home will soon be uninhabitable by the many electrical deficiencies that were blaring out as we entered. Too many operational deficiencies to name. Repairs were requested and not completed during our visit so one can only guess if they were addressed. The rental company was less than professional in handling damages by a previous tenant. All in all, it is an old house on it's last leg and NOTHING can hurt it. I am thankful to find an oceanfront home to share time the the whole family and not burden others to entertain our four legged friends.
