Old Rustic Beach Cabin: Private deck overlooking Face Rock Beach.

Built in 1934, two years before a fire wiped out most of the town of Bandon, this rustic cabin is loved by many coastal vacationers. Except for a few modern amenities, this cabin feels just like it did all those years ago.

Just down a flight of stairs to a secluded feeling beach cabin with a private deck and one of the best ocean views on the Oregon coast. This house has a single bedroom and an open loft, a kitchen, and a 3/4 bath (shower only). There is also a beach access very nearby.

Checking in was fine. The cabin is very dark--lighting is insufficient. Overhead neon lights are not cozy at all but other lights are inadequate.

Staying in this cabin was like stepping into a little slice of heaven. Surrounded by breathtaking ocean views and with a deck perfectly positioned for watching magnificent sunsets, it’s hard to imagine a more idyllic spot. The easy beach access through the neighboring cabin made it feel like our own private coastal retreat.The view alone has to be the best in all of Bandon — absolutely stunning. We also loved the rustic charm and cozy feel of the cabin. It had a warm, homey vibe that made us instantly comfortable. Everything we needed was close by, including a great restaurant just across the street, which was super convenient.The neighborhood was peaceful and perfect for leisurely strolls, adding to the relaxed, getaway feel. We’re already dreaming of our next visit — this place is truly special.We will be sure to tell everyone we know about this special opportunity. Thank you for sharing it with us, we can't wait to come again.

We were told about this spot by good friends who had stayed there. They warned us that it was “rustic”. We loved our stay there. Access to the beach was not direct, but through an adjacent property. We only wished there were screens on the downstairs bedroom windows so we could hear the surf at night.There were only two of us, so having only one bathroom worked fine. A larger group might not find it so easy.All said, an idyllic spot on the Oregon coast.

Amazing location and views! We loved the rustic cabin feel, ocean views, and beach access.We cooked in the kitchen a bunch, it was great to have full sized appliances.I was hesitant to stay somewhere "pet friendly" but it didn't smell like pets. There were some old carpet stains, but nothing odorous.There is no dishwasher, so it was no surprise we ended up washing a few things that still had fingerprints or grease on them before use.My only wish was for a softer bed downstairs - as side sleepers by husband and I found it quite hard and uncomfortable.

Magical

This was such a quaint, truly rustic cabin with the most amazing view of Face Rock and a bunch of other rock formations. We loved listening to and watching the waves from both inside and out on the balcony. Truly magical and perfect for our family of four. Can't wait to visit again!

Cute cabin with a lot of potential. Overall our stay was good.The good: location was great! Definitely a rustic cabin as described, beds were comfortable. Everything was well stocked.The not so great: carpets were stained and there was a bit of an odor. A few things could use some extra cleaning-spiderwebs, ceiling fan was very dusty, there was a used dog poop bag on the balcony. Beach access was okay, we had to use the neighboring cabins stairs and I’m not sure they were aware as they gave us some weird looks. A few changes could make this cabin the perfect beach vacation home! As I said, overall we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful Coastal Getaway

The photos don't do this lovely 1940's cottage justice. It feels a lot bigger on the inside than the photos show. Beautiful views of Face Rock with direct beach access. Full kitchen. TV. My mother and son and I enjoyed a lovely Christmas here. Thoroughly recommended.

Great Rental

Beautiful cabin on the bluffs. Everything needed that one would require. Downstairs bed very comfortable (pillows not so much). The views were amazing, the nearby town had a ton of terrific restaurants and shops. Thank you!

This is a true gem on the southern Oregon coast! The view from your private balcony could not be more beautiful. The cabin is super comfy with tons of rustic charm. There is a tremendous history here that is almost palpable. A magical place we hope to visit again soon! to visit

Maybe not for old(er) folks

The view/location...freaking amazing! Cant get enough. The stairs...although I was prepared for them, I did expect some kind of lighting in the dark (solar lights didnt work) and slick when wet (its Oregon, always wet). Heavy suitcases are not recommended. Couple other issues: stove burners dont fit properly and pans tend to slide off. Surface looked clean but I lifted a couch cushion, kitchen drawers disorganized. If you plan on eating out, its enough. Cooking at the cabin was a challenge. But the view makes it all ok.

Another great stay at the cabin

Our third time in a year! This time we brought family. They loved it. I forgot to bring cards for Canasta but lucky for us there were two decks in the game drawer! Next time I will remember to bring a notebook for scoring. Can’t think of everything. Cabin has everything from a nicely stocked kitchen to warm throw blankets.

Couldn't ask for a better view in Bandon

The house was wonderful. Perfect size for 2 and our 2 dogs. Very clean and well stocked. Perfect view of Face Rock and the beach. Be aware that after you unlock the door that it is still locked. If you dump stuff inside and go back out for more, the door will lock behind you. They do have another lock box with another key in it, but things were a little frantic for a few minutes. They were very quick to respond to us. The other issue is there really is no where at the house to take dogs out. We had to go up to the parking lot or down to the beach. It wasn't bad, but somewhere cleared out behind the house would be much appreciated.

Cozy, charming, awesome sights,sounds, location; best TV use instructions ever; Sam pleasant, best host a guest could want. Lots of nice touches-plenty of coffee, including decaf, lots of pillows, very comfortable deck chairs.Use care-40 steps-car to cabin.

Amazing views!

What a beautiful place to stay! The kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of towels in the bathroom. Very cozy and comfortable. It would be nice if this cabin had their own stairs to the beach but they don't. We had to walk a couple properties down and use their stairs. Also, this is a pet unit with carpeting.

Unbelievable location!!

Two couples of 65+ had a fabulous stay. Location can’t be fully described with words or photos. Close to town yet feels like a world away when sitting on back porch watching waves, rocks and sea birds. All while listening to surf crashing to shore. We’ll be back!

Cozy Coastal Retreat

We had a glorious stay at the rustic cabin and the property manager was very easy to communicate with. The location right on the beach was truly amazing. The views were spectacular and walks along the coast were nothing short of breathtaking. We could also walk to Old Town where there was a host of fantastic places to dine and do some shopping. Bandon is a wonderful destination and a great place to stay and take some marvelous day trips along the coast. There is so much to see and experience and we intend to return very soon!
