Peaceful Retreat Close To Beaches - "Southern Marsh"

Located minutes from beautiful Dover Beach and in the heart of the St. Lawrence Gap, Southern Marsh is your home away from home. The house is located just one block from the sea and is up the street from Dover market, which is a small convenience & grocery store. Restaurants, bars, gift shops and an ATM are also all within walking distance.

Southern Marsh is a two-storey, 4 bedroom & 3 bathroom home. The house is beautifully decorated in tropical colours and features a large, fully equipped kitchen, dining room with a table which seats 6, comfortable living room, backyard and covered patio, as well as air conditioning in all bedrooms, free Wifi, a microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, HD TV, blu-ray player and an assortment of movies on DVD.

The master bedroom has a king size bed, 2 large closets and a full ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. There is a sunny balcony off the master bedroom. The other two bedrooms on the second floor share a bathroom with a large walk-in shower. These two rooms have ample closet space and can sleep 2 people each, with the beds made up either as 2 single beds or one king bed. The main floor bedroom has a double bed and an ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower.

We have a local property manager who is available throughout your stay if you have any questions or concerns and is committed to ensuring you have a wonderful holiday.

Whether you're new to Barbados or a seasoned veteran, we want to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We think that you will agree that Southern Marsh is the perfect place for you while you are on the island.

Family Vacation

We were a family of 7 adults and our stay at Southern Marsh was very comfortable and relaxing! It's within walking distance to beautiful beaches and amazing restaurants! Had an amazing time!

Best accommodation to date

Been holidaying in Barbados for the last few years and southern marsh has hands down been the best accommodation to date, the owners have been brilliant to deal with and so helpful and the accommodation is perfect with a modern kitchen with all the accessories it is very spacious and the location is excellent.

The perfect place for our family retreat

Spacious property in great location

We had a wonderful stay at the property. It was stocked with everything we needed and had lots of room for our group of five adults and two under the age of three. We had great communication with the hosts and property manager throughout and they accommodated all of our requests for our stay. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting and wanting to stay in one of Barbadosā€™s central locations!

Great stay at Dover beach

Our family of 7 seniors stayed at southern marsh for 5 days prior to a cruise . The property was well located for beaches and restaurants and the property more than adequately met our needs . Clean and well equipped and check in was easy . Communication with the owners was excellent and I would fully recommend it to any travellers .

The property is in a fantastic location (nearby food, groceries and beach) very clean, and looks exactly like the photos. Itā€™s well-equipped with everything you need to feel at home, and my group really enjoyed our stay. The host/property manager was very responsive and quick to address any questions or concerns. The only drawback was that we didnā€™t have internet for nearly the entire stay, which was a major inconvenience. That said, this issue was beyond the hostā€™s control, and the property manager did their best to work with the provider to resolve it. We also received compensation for the inconvenience, which was appreciated. I would definitely stay here again

Beautiful home in a great location

Southern Marsh was a great property, it was well cared for, clean, and beautifully furnished. It was an easy walk to several beaches, but still located in a quieter area of the Gap. The property owner and manager were easy to communicate with and very flexible. I would strongly recommend staying here!

Amazing Barbados Vacation in an Amazing Home

The house was beautiful and very well kept. It was spacious and clean and had a great patio space out back to enjoy the mornings and evenings. Short walking distance to Dover Beach and St. Lawrence Gap and very easy access to catch the ZR to travel to other beautiful beaches and activities. We had an absolute blast in Barbados and none of us wanted to leave to come home. The home owners were great and the property manager down in Barbados was absolutely amazing; she went out of her way to make our stay perfect. Amazing vacation had by all! Thank you

Lovely stay for my wedding

Superb property in the gap but just far enough removed to not be bothered by late night parties. Owners and housekeeper were excellent, couldnā€™t do enough for us even during storm Dorian. Would highly recommend and use again. Big thank you to Sandy and Dawn

Lovely house, good location

The house is quite large, well-cooled in the bedrooms and very well stocked with all your needs from dish soap to toilet paper, cooking utensils etc. The property manager, Dawn, was very responsive and the location was at the bottom of St. Lawrence gap so an easy walk to restaurants and night-life. 10/10 would recommend.

Southern Marsh Barbados Vacation

An absolutely lovely, clean and perfectly situated property on the South Coast of Barbados within easy walk of Dover Beach. Dawn the property manager is fantastic and very welcoming. No airconditioning required on the ground floor as the trade winds blow through the townhouse. Open the doors, close the gates and enjoy a coffee under the mango tree. Perfect for families.

Perfection

Having stayed in smaller properties close by and being in need of a larger property I was thrilled to find this house. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived till leaving. The house worked so well for us, space for the baby to crawl around, great washing and cooking facilities and a great terrace to sit and play games at night. The towels and beach towels were a real bonus as was all the little touches like left over suncream and mozzi spray. We loved every minute and hope to return with more of our grandchildren in time. Would highly recommend

Great 4 bedroom house- 1/4 mile from the Gap

We loved this house. It had four bedrooms, two of which could be 2 twins or a king. It was SO close to the Gap, to Bliss Cafe, and also 1/4 mile to walk in the other direction to get a bus. Very clean and safe neighborhood. Bedrooms have AC that are individually controlled. We would come again.

Great home to rent.

Excellant location. Near amenities and the beach, yet far enough away to be quiet. An excellent well equipped home. Very clean. The owner was very pleasant and helpful before arrival, as were the hosts after arrival. Large family home. We were 9 people and with the addition of 2 rollaway cots for the kids, everyone was very comfortable. We would come here again with no hesitation. Thanks for a great stay.

First of many (I hope)

A group of 5 went to Barbados to celebrate my birthday and we had an incredible time! The home exceeded our expectations! Safe, spotless, welcoming, modern, spacious...this house had it all. The location was perfect for walking to the beach and "the gap". where we found restaurants, bars, shops, etc. We even got to watch the Raptors at a local spot and then the victory parade on Monday. We all agree, we'll be back to Southern Marsh. A special note: Dawn, the property manager is fantastic!

Very nice house within walking distance from the Gap, but far enough away from the noise. On a very quiet street. We brought our family of seven and enjoyed the property very much. Walking distance to the Gap for the beach, food and entertainment. In the opposite direction, in walking distance to catch public transportation as well. We took public transportation everywhere. House is very clean and nice. Will definitely book again.

The Perfect Vacation Home

First of all Iā€™m very picky and extremely detailed so trust me when I tell you this place is perfect. No picture is a lie or misleading and more importantly than that dealing with the owners of the property is like dealing with a hotel in the sense of professionalism and delivery. They are A1! The best part about it is that they arenā€™t a hotel, so will they are professional they are also warm, caring and are real people and to me thatā€™s really important when Iā€™m spending my money and picking a place to stay. I could tell you more about the property but the listing does all of that for you. If you like the pics, and details than book, casue you wonā€™t be disappointed!

Family Vacation

The house was just the right size for our family of seven adults. The owner and property manager were very accommodating when we asked to have one of the king beds on the 2nd floor split into twins. This was done before we arrived. Everytime we needed something the property manager, Dawn was available and assisted immediately. The only down side to the house is the fact that there is no air conditioning in the main living room - kitchen area spaces of the house, just ceiling fans, so it was a little hot to hang out as a family. Everyone tended to go off to their bedrooms to cool down at the end of a hot day.

Everything we thought it would be

It was a pleasure working with the Owner Sandy. She was very professional and welcoming. The property manager Brian was also a pleasure once we arrived to the house. This was my first time to Barbados and I wanted the feel of being home away from home. My family and I came down for a wedding and I needed a place that can hold 7 of us comfortably. The house was very modern and spacious. It also came fully equipped with everything we needed from pots and pans, to laundry detergent, beach towels and even bug spray. If you forgot anything at home, don't worry I guarantee it was already here at the house. Besides the house being wonderful, the location was perfect. Being in Lawrence Gap was close to all the nice restaurants, local bars and beaches. I would recommend this place to anyone and would not mind staying here again. Danelle H

We are a family from Ottawa, Canada who have been vacationing in Barbados for many years. We bought this house to have a place to call home for our family and friends while on the island and we hope everyone will enjoy it as much as we do.

Por que o anfitriĆ£o escolheu essa propriedade

After many years of vacationing on the south coast of Barbados we chose to purchase this property because of its location. While within close walking distance of our favourite beaches, restaurants and bars, this house is located on a very quiet street and is therefore perfect for a relaxing vacation. There is a small grocery store at the end of the street and the public transportation routes are only a couple of blocks away. The house is well constructed and secure with burglar bars on all windows and front and back doors. And everyone loves the back patio - for enjoying a morning coffee, al fresco meal or evening drink - it is a peaceful place to sit and watch birds and a family of green monkeys when they come to feed on our banana trees.
