Quiet Place in the Park, 5bdrm/3bth

Covid19 update: we thoroughly clean the house with Clorox after each guest.
As frequent travelers to B&B's, we have decided to make our home a B&B that is as convenient and comforting as the ones we like to stay at ourselves. After living in Portland for 13 years, we have agreed that a BnB is the best way to experience this beautiful area.

Location - This house has the perfect location for city and country people. It is only a 15 minute drive to downtown Portland while only 5 minute drive to the highway 26, which takes you to wineries, farms, hikes and the ocean.

Amount of People - We have enough room to accommodate for 16 people. There are 5 rooms that will fit 8 adults and 4 kids and if more room is needed then there are two futons that are queen sized when reclined. The dining room has plenty of space for all the guests because of its dining table that comfortably seats 13 people.

Wifi/TV - There are 3 TVs in the house with a wide variety of channels. We also have high speed internet.

Nearby the House - The chairs, tables and barbecue grill on the 560 sq foot deck make it perfect to lounge around on while the park behind the backyard is great for a relaxing, sunny day because of its tennis courts, playground and big field

Eating - We have supplied all of the kitchenware and tableware and a few basic ingredients such as sugar, coffee and tea. If you would like, we can stock the fridge with other food like eggs, bagels and butter.

Place was as advertised. Check in went very smoothly and house was clean upon arrival. Host was very responsive both before and during out stay. We had a large group of 12 adults staying and there was plenty of beds and rooms for everyone. Property was a great value.

This was the perfect place for our bridal party to stay the weekend we got married at Hoyt Arboretum! We really enjoyed the amenities like ping pong and the beautiful back porch deck. So stunning! We also appreciated the fully stocked kitchen. Room enough for everyone, including some crashers ;) Would stay here and work with them again!

We had a great time during our stay the only downfall was as we were walking out just before our check out time of 11am we were greeted by the cleaners walking in. My advice would be to have the cleaners wait to enter until after the people who are staying at your property leave and at least knock before coming in.

Spacious house, great location

We had a great time staying at this property! Kitchen was very spacious, with lots of counter space. Plenty of room for our family of ten. Deck was perfect to enjoy your morning coffee and enjoy the scenery of the woods. Very safe and quiet neighborhood. I highly recommend!

Family vacation 2024

Had lots of fun at the house with Foosball and the table tennis. We cooked most of our meals there. We spent one day at the coast and 2 in Portland. The MAX station is close to the house and made travel so easy.

Great house for a big group

We rented this house so we'd have a nice big kitchen and dining area to host Thanksgiving for a crowd this year. The rooms were all nice and comfortable, and the kitchen was incredibly well-stocked and easy for many of us to cook in together. There were a few things that were broken/not clean when we arrived, but overall it was a great house for us!

Lovely house that suited our needs perfectly

The house is great and exactly as it is listed. Good space to hang out, but also offers enough bedrooms for privacy for many guests. A very nice neighborhood as well. Great view out the back windows. The owner was very responsive and quickly responded, which is great since we had an issue getting into the house initially. All of us who stayed there were very pleased with this house and if we had a group again we'd look to see if it was available.

Perfect space and location

This home was the perfect space for our 2 families to share while visiting relatives in the Beaverton area. It's close to everything - no more than 10 to 15 minutes to get to anywhere. The bedrooms fit two couples, 5 kids and one baby. The back yard is spectacular, we didn't get to enjoy the big deck due to rain, but it's the perfect deck to sit on and watch the kids play in the creek and green space directly behind. Kitchen had everything we needed and the huge dining room table was perfect for our family to sit around, eat, chat and play some games. Beds were comfy and house was clean. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Comfortable

Our skating team decided to stay in a house instead of a hotel for a competition in Portland. What a great experience! The home owner was so accommodating! Having such a large group, and all girls, we had special requests - no issues at all! Our favorite spot in the house quickly became the dining room - team meals, games and homework. Great place to spread out. The home was super clean. The girls kept commenting how this was "the best competition ever!" I know it had a great deal to do with the relaxing atmosphere of the house.

Great Family Home

We stayed here two years ago andnoticed the floors needed refinishing. This years the floors were done and looked beautiful! The home is large and well kept. There was plenty of room for our three families. We did have a few issues. There were ants and you had to be careful not to leave any food items uncovered. We could have used an extra roll of paper towels and a couple of rolls of toilet paper. There was also no sponge or cloth to wipe off counters or the table.

Great location, easy access to downtown Portland

We had a great time at this house. It is located in a residential neighborhood with a large park just across a little creek. It was quiet and provided a great place to hang out with all our guests. There was lots of room on the deck, living room and down stairs TV room for everyone to hang out as a group and play card games. The house is an easy drive to downtown Portland. We had no problem getting in an out of the city. The house had plenty of beds, sheets towels and all the amenities we needed for a large group. There were eleven of us and there was a comfortable amount of space and beds. The owner was responsive and the house rental couldn't have been smoother. I recommend this house for any group looking for a great house to rent for a fun time in Portland and the surrounding areas.
