Cozy Mountain Hideaway!
Had a lovely long weekend in the mountains! Cabin was cozy (70+ degrees inside) despite cold outdoor temperatures; hot tub, heaters, and fireplace were on before we got there. Very clean inside, plenty of dishes for 4 people to use. Loved that we didn’t need to bring linens or towels. Beautiful view off the deck!
Able to make it up the road easily enough in a front wheel drive car (warm and dry weather during our stay) though the driveway was a challenge - steep with no turn around room at bottom, was easier to park at the top and walk down!
Would certainly stay here again! Loved it!
Drafty and cold
The only heat is a gas fireplace and a space heater. There were no blankets on the beds and the place was cold. Scot was good about responding and bringing blankets and an extra heater. Since you can't tell from the pictures- yes there is a k-cup coffee machine as well as a regular one.
Cute and compact
Inside was cute. Drive up the mt. Is a little trying. 4wd helps. Not much space for parking. One truck at best
You need to bring your own soap, shampoo, hairdryer. Nice porch area that you could keep a pet on
Hot tub (did not use) basic ameneties, mini fridge.
Private place, small driveway
We had a great stay at Almost Heaven. We enjoyed the privacy as you are about 1.5 miles down a dirt road with few houses close by (however close enough to feel safe.) As stated in the listing, it is a small place, but could accommodate a family of 4. My wife's only complaint was that the shower was small.
What a great property! My husband and I loved our time here. The manager responded really quickly with any questions we had. Several reviews we read mentioned bringing an air mattress due to the comfort of the beds. We actually brought a pillow top mattress pad, and it worked well with the pullout. I would also suggest bringing a newspaper if you want to use the fire. We brought firewood, but we had some difficulty finding kindling that would light. If we are ever in the area again, I would definitely stay here.
