Come and relax at Marsh Haven, in beautiful old St Augustine. This lovely home offers everything from marsh/water views to ocean breezes and even the chance to take in the wild life right on your private covered deck with custom upholstered outdoor sectional and outdoor dining table, You are only 5 minutes from Old Town St Augustine and nearest beach.

This is a 2 story cottage style duplex. This rental is on the ground floor and offers private entrance and private deck. Panoramic views of the 30 acres of marsh surrounding the home. There is a separate entrance and privacy fencing separating the two rentals on this property so you can enjoy lots of privacy and relaxation.

Marsh Haven Features: direct marsh views, tile/wood floors, large private deck, custom tiled shower, gourmet kitchen with Granite Island and stainless steel appliances, cable tv, wi-fi internet access, private washer and dryer and ceiling fans in every room. - just bring your toothbrush.
Perfect for one person or the whole family (and don't forget your pets are welcome too). Spend the day downtown shopping or at the beach, then come home to your private oasis and watch the blue herons glide by, while having cocktails on your large, private covered deck and enjoying the ocean breezes.
This cottage's setting is nestled on a point where 2 rivers meet, where beautiful marsh expands into unspoiled waterfront views. The property features some gorgeous mature palm trees as well as some lovely oaks and it is cradled between the San Sebastian River and Red House Branch Creek. The location is prime as it is only minutes to the historic district, beach, golfing, a boat ramp and outlet shopping.

An amazing vacation in a beautiful setting

The rental was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The high end kitchen made it easy to cook meals when we wanted to stay in. The view from the deck was gorgeous! It was very relaxing to sit and birdwatch.It was peaceful and quiet while even being just minutes away from attractions. Our three-week stay just wasn’t long enough. We definitely recommend!

Winter Vacation

The property is beautiful, quiet and very comfortable. Beautifully decorated and lots of room. The property is close to grocery and historic district and just far enough away from traffic and crowds to enjoy the area. I so recommend for your visit to St. Augustine.

Minutes to St Augustine and seconds to paradise

The property is minutes to all the charm and bustle of historic St Augustine. When you’re tired of that, just step out the back sliders and gaze at a gorgeous marsh! We even saw roseate spoonbills, St Augustine’s famous pink birds. The property had everything we needed for our stay. I would definitely stay there again 💕

Comfort and Convenience

This is a phenomenal property that is clean, spacious and convenient to all of the sites in St Augustine, we loved it! The pictures depicting the place are accurate. The beds have great mattresses, the great room is bright, attractive and well laid out. The back porch is a nice place to relax and the walk in bath is nicest I have ever used. The house is convenient by car to all of St Augustine. If you go, top off your week with a Sunset Cruise on the Tiki Bar!

Relaxing spot

The house was very comfortable and was in a great location; it was just far enough from downtown St. Augustine to be relaxing, but close enough to easily enjoy the city. The marsh view from the deck was quite nice. I do think the owners should disclose that there is another unit (other renters or perhaps the property owners?) above and they should update their photos. The back deck view is not as pristine as the photos indicate. Since those photos were taken, there have been several apartment buildings that have been constructed and can be seen from the back deck. It is still a beautiful spot to relax, but it is not exactly as pictured in the listing.

Great break between homes

We stayed here over a month while waiting for completion of our new home. Perfect location to all the sites and very comfortable too. We really enjoyed the beautiful view from the deck.

Close to everything!

Cozy accommodations with all the amenities you need! Extensive book collection and comfortable outdoor furniture for enjoying the marsh life. Area is mostly shaded, so if you want to be in the sun, the beach is only 5 minutes away!

Marsh Haven is a Delight

Enjoyed our stay very much. Very quiet but close to the historic district and maybe 15 minutes from St. Augustine Beach. Two bedrooms tho we only used one and great kitchen and super shower. We were very comfortable and would recommend to anyone!

Loved the beach theme and beautiful kitchen at Marsh Haven!

We stayed three weeks and loved it.. So close to downtown and it has a very peaceful view. I loved the decor it really made you feel like you are on a beachy tropical vacation.The beds were very comfortable and the owners are super nice and helpful.

What a great home away from home!

The marsh location is beautiful and peaceful and just a short drive to downtown St. Augustine. The condo was decorated beautifully, and we had every convenience at our fingertips. We stayed comfortably and happily for a full month while waiting for our home to be renovated. The best part was being able to keep our fur family with us!

Winter Getaway

We truly enjoyed our 2 month stay at Marsh Haven. We were close to old town, many restaurants, a large flea market, the beach, and shopping. We travel with our 2 Cocker Spaniels and they also enjoyed their stay. We spent a lot of time out on the back patio enjoying the warm weather and watching the Herons out in the marsh. The owner was quick to get back to us with any questions we had. This was our second time to stay, but the last time we stayed in the upstairs apartment. (I should say house, it was a large 3 bedroom apartment.) This time we stayed in the downstairs, 2 bedrooms and an office. Whenever we stay in the St. Augustine area, I hope we can stay at Marsh Haven again. Everything was perfect, exactly as advertised. A great place for your home away from home.

Stay in St. Augustine

We had a wonderful stay in St. Augustine! The condo was lovely with a full kitchen and all the comforts of home! The location is fantastic being so close to the beach and beautiful downtown. You can go out or stay in! The marsh view is stunning and makes for the most enjoyable sunsets. I highly recommend staying at heroes haven. The owner is easy to get a hold of and responds quickly if you have questions or need anything.

Great Property!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michelle Shelby Spinneweber’s vacation home, Marsh Haven is superb for a family vacation or for a much longer stay. My wife and I were building a new home in Nocatee Florida and to our surprise our home in Northern Virginia sold in 6 days. Fortunately we found Marsh Haven on VRBO which accepted our two cats and willing to give us a long term rental. This was a life saver as we stayed there for 3 months. We rented the house for 3 months and I must say very reasonable based on my numerous searches. The amenities are wonderful and in great condition. An added plus for me was the office space so I could continue to work. It is certainly centrally located on the North side of St Augustine and a short drive to the World Golf Village and a day trip to Orlando. I highly recommend this property. I like to write, read, eat really good food in really nice or really unusual restaurants, and listen to all kinds of music (country, jazz, blues, classical, old rock) I appreciate a finely crafted cocktail and prefer "top shelf". My husband and I have 10 horses (mostly quarter horses) and we like to trail ride at the beach and numerous state parks. I am a fan of camping. I would like to work on the "glamping" thing. I work full time as a realtor in NE Florida. I specialize in St. Augustine which is the oldest city in the US! My work keeps me really busy but I like it as I get to work with buyers and sellers from all different walks of life and I get to see a lot of nice homes. I like renovation projects best as I love to see an old home with good bones get new life. In early life I grew up on 40 acres in Pennsylvania. I moved to S. Florida in the 80's and now live near St. Augustine, FL.
