This magnificent villa is Located on Guerrero, you are just steps away from the stunning white sand and turquoise blue waters of Playa Norte, as well as being surrounded by delicious restaurants, vibrant bars, live music, and great souvenir shopping. Stay in the heart of all the action.
Every room in Casa Aruma includes a flat screen TV, private bathroom with shower, bathrobe, slippers and first class amenities.
Our guests can rest and drink a margarita in a beach club Guru (only adults) or Mayan Beach Club (family club) our affiliate beach clubs, go scuba diving, snorkel, sail or take a swim in the caribbean.
They can also sunbathe in the pool area with a waterfall and views, the private house SPA offers ocean view and holistic massages, body treatments, facials and more. We also offer full day spa service.

Casa Aruma has no elevator, and may not be appropriate for guest who have difficulty with stairs.


Each room is uniquely designed is available to rent individually, or rent the entire house.
Home to restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops, “El Centro” offers a variety of culinary & entertainment options while keeping the quaint feel of a fishing village.

Guerrero the main pedestrian street begins at the town square and ends at the white coral sand of one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Playa Norte. The property are located in the heart of downtown Isla Mujeres.

All Guest of Casa Aruma have membership for Beach Club Guru, included free access beach towels and umbrellas. 

The beach club is located in Calle Zazil-ha 300 meters from the house North direction. This beach is one of the most beautiful and peaceful beaches in Isla Mujeres.

Great Style

We only spent one night here on a last minute trip extension, but I was pleasantly surprised at the unique and interesting style of this hidden gem in the middle of el Centro. It would be a great place for gathering of friends.

Bachelorette Bliss!!!

I stayed in this lovely home for 3 nights with 9 dear friends for my bachelorette party just before getting married in Playa del Carmen! We are a group of women in our 30s and loved relaxing at the house and exploring the nearby beaches and restaurants! We also loved cooking together at the house and truly appreciated the amazing hospitality of the host! The large screened in porch area outside the kitchen upstairs was a wonderful spot to spend time together!

a beautiful house, very large my group of 16 was perfect !!!, one block from the beach. surrounded by restaurants and all activity in Isla Mujeres. the very attentive host the house is new. I will return next year

The property was nice. A lot of steps and some hot water and pressure issues in one of the rooms are the only complaints I have. Overall, it was really nice and conveniently located.

Perfect in every way!

our stay in this amazing place was exceptional! It is right in the center of everything you want. The decor is beautiful, The beds are comfortable, the pool is refreshing and the hosts go above and beyond to make the experience so amazing. They helped us plan shuttle service to and from the island, daily excursions, dinners, welcome apps, and whatever eles we needed. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful Oasis in the Heart of North Beach

Aruma house is two blocks from Higaldo St and about 3 blocks from North Beach. Although you are near the center of activity, inside the house is peaceful and quiet. You can sit by the pool and hear the nearby live music. The open air kitchen and living area are spectacular; there was always a breeze cooling the space. The house was perfect for a group of friends. We were able to walk to various bars and beaches and then meet up at the pool and share our experiences. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

The perfect spot!!

Pictures do not do this place justice! It is the perfect spot for a group on Islas mujeres. It is so centrally located, we could walk everywhere. You walk out the front door and are in the middle of bars, restaurants and all the action. Amazingly enough noise isn’t an issue though. The best part about this place was the hosts. They helped set up activities and dinners and were so incredibly helpful. Cannot recommend this whole package enough. We were there a bachelorette but would be great for a group of friends or family.

Club Noise

The accommodations / house were fine but the house is surrounded by extremely loud dance clubs and bars. The management company should warn guest about this to be fair. They kept the family up until 3 am on Saturday, 1 am on Friday and stopped around midnight during the weekday. Unfortunately if you stay in this location you simply will not sleep and it ruins the experience.

Beautiful home

We rang in the 2024 New Year at Casa Aruma. This was such a unique place to stay. We loved being central to shopping, restaurants and night life. The home is beautiful and exquisitely decorated by someone with a very good eye for art. When the power went out we alerted the owners via WhatsApp and they called the power company immediately. They were very responsive to all our needs. I highly recommend this home. However it is good to know that if anyone in your party has ANY difficulty with steps this is not the place for you. And if you have a fear of birds you may want to look elsewhere. The owners have tried to screen in the kitchen/living /dining area but the birds are still getting in to the third floor

Perfect location!

This home is in walking distance of Playa Norte, the most stunning beach on Isla Mujeres and next to great restaurants and shops. If you want to be in the heart of the island look no further! This house was perfect for us with 4 large beautiful bedrooms, each with their own bathroom and wonderful amenities. The bedrooms all have televisions and air conditioning which made our guest feel right at home. The spa pool on the third floor was our favorite place to hang out in the evening. The kitchen and living room are at the top of the house which was great for my family who went to bed early. The open air kitchen should be cleaned up and put away, or else you will attract birds. This was not a problem for us as we ate most of our meals out, so rarely, did we clean much. I can’t say enough great things about this house and host but it’s by far the best location!!

The best VRBO on the island

Where do I start, the location is great, walking distance to Playa Norte (nicest beach on the island.) There is a mercado around the corner, restaurants across the street, the night scene is one block away. Safe to walk around the neighborhood. The roof top is amazing. Plunge pool is good for kids or adults looking to cool down. The living area in the roof is setup nice. Outdoor kitchen is amazing and setup to cook anything you can think of. There are bars in the street that stay open late but with all the doors and windows closed you cant even tell. There was a person that came to clean during our stay and was in and out, Check in and check out was a breeze. There are physical keys so you will need to meet with someone. The communication they have is top notch. Never had a doubt on what to do next and they set us up with Golf cart rentals as well as lots of ideas on what to do. By far the best experience with a home rental I have had.

Bohemia meets Bird Sanctuary

It was a short stay for 9 family members. All adults except for one infant age one. We enjoyed the location and the overall decor. The bedrooms were quite functional with great linens. The kitchen area was a disaster and we did need to use it to feed the baby. It was very dirty due to the shared use with the birds. Open air and exposed dishes don’t mix. We were not able to use the dining area because it was gross and disgusting. Bird crap everywhere. We had poor response to our requests about a bed for the baby and so had to do without. This looked like a good party house for a group who had no intention of using the kitchen area. Not safe for children.
