A wonderful flat with seaview in center of town

The flat is on the 4th floor of an apparmment builing right in center of town. Is spacious, and beautifully furnished, equipped with all amenities, but relatively small (100 square meters). The livingroom, the master beadroom, and the office have a fantastic view to the sea and mount Esja. The livingroom has two seating areas, and a built over balcony with a small dinig tabel. The livingroom also features a small grand piano The master bedroom has a king size bed and a TV flat screen. The office is small, but there we have a convertabel sleepingsofa. The bathroom has a shower, and there is a washingroom on the floor ( private washing machine and dryer but the room is a common space for all four apartments on the floor). There is also a shared balcony (the same four flats) in the corridor of the floor, facing south-east. There is a private parking place in the basement garage. Just outside the house there is a buststop for excursions trips to tourist sites.

Die Ferienwohnung war beeindruckend schön. Der Ausblick auf das Meer und die Berge waren atemberaubend. Die Lage der Wohnung war zentral und nur wenige Schritte vom Busstop für Ausflüge entfernt.Die Gastgeber haben eine sehr informative Information gesendet. This was a beautiful, ideal location and space for us. Just across the street from the water, short, lovely walks to all the Reykjavík sites, and easy access to the routes for touring hotspots. It is very clean and very comfortable. The hosts were thoughtful and gracious. A perfect home base for a long-awaited trip to Iceland.

The perfect location

The apartment is beautiful and located close to most things that a visitor would like to see and within walking distance. Got those things not within walking distance the proximity to bus stop 14 makes those a breeze.

Location and view

I selected this property because it is located near many shops and restaurants, has covered parking for the rental car, a full kitchen, a nice-sized bathroom, and access to a dedicated washer and dryer—all with a wonderful water view. The apartment delivered on all of these desires (although the parking space is very narrow and thus hard to use). The furnishings are a bit quirky: the only sofa is a small loveseat in the office room, and there is limited storage for a renter’s stuff because all the owner’s belongings are in the apartment. If you’re OK with these things, you’ll have a wonderful stay, aided by easy and prompt communications with the owner.

A wonderful stay in the heart of Reykjavik!

This beautiful apartment is right on the harbour and only a few minutes walk from the Harpa conference centre. the apartment is beautifully appointed and obviously loved. We were honoured to have the opportunity to stay in this wonderful family home surrounded by their momentos of travel and family. If we are ever in Reykjavik in future we will definitely stay at TInna's home.

Wonderful Property Centrally Located

The flat was centrally located within walk distance of all the downtown attractions, and right across the street from the Sun Voyager. It was comfortable and cozy. We had a couple of issues; one being that the lights in the living room did not work and the other was that there was fresh food left from the previous tenant. Both were resolved very quickly and Tinna was very communicative. I would definitely stay here again.

The condo was perfect for our stay. A fabulous location for walking around downtown with gorgeous water views. Easy to navigate and very safe neighborhood. Highly recommend.

Lovely apartment in a great location

Lovely apartment in a great location. Great views of the sea. 5-10 minute walk to anything you want to do in the center city and the Old Harbor. Right across the street from a tour and airport bus stop. Spacious with walk-in shower and well equipped kitchen.

Great location

This was an amazing location. The ocean view was spectacular! It was very quiet, relaxing place to stay during the evening. We loved the fact that the property was within walking distance to all of the tourist sites and restaurants in Reykjavik. We appreciated all of the information that the host gave us about the property prior to our arrival as well: particularly being warned ahead of time that the parking stall that was included was very narrow, and chose our rental car accordingly- this stall will not accommodate any vehicle larger than a Toyota Yaris. We had a fantastic holiday thank you for letting us stay with you!

Great Location! Great Bed Comfort! Great Parking!

This was our first time in Iceland and we stayed for 8 days in this wonderful apartment. We enjoyed the kitchen as well. It's just a perfect location for Reykjavik. We always have issues with the mattress wherever we stay, but this mattress was great. Very comfortable for us. Enjoy.

Amazing First Trip to Iceland

This charming apartment right on the ocean was the perfect place for our first trip to Iceland. It had all the amenities you could want—full kitchen, shower, comfy bed, onsite laundry and beautiful views. Despite the cold weather outside, the apartment stayed cozy at night, and it was very quiet. It is conveniently located next to several bus stops and an easy walk to the heart of Reykjavik + many great shops, restaurants and bars. The trash/recycling/compost system in Reykjavik was a bit confusing to us, so we recommend doing research beforehand to ensure you know how to sort waste during your stay. We highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay in Iceland!

A great condo

Gute Erholung in Reykjavik.

Die lage der Wohnung ist hervorragend. Zum Zentrum ist nicht weit und man abends gut ausgehen. Der Bäcker ist 30 Meter zu Fuß erreichbar und hat Montag bis Sonntag geöffnet. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber.

Central location and good views

The apartment was as described and shown on the pictures; the owner was very quick to react to queries and very friendly and helpful. I was a bit surprised that the fridge and freezer had not beem emptied and that there was so much food stuff in the kitchen cupboards. As I am sensitive to noise I was not very happy about the busy street in front of the apartment building. For me personally the bed was too soft but that's a matter of preferences. Apart from that, everything was great.

Wunderschöne zentrale Wohnung mit Blick aufs Meer

Die Wohnung liegt direkt am Meer und zentral, die Innenstadt ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Bushaltestelle direkt vor der Tür. Die älteste Bäckerei Islands findet man im Erdgeschoss des Gebäudes. Die Aussicht vom Schlafzimmer und vom Wohnzimmer ist wunderschön. Die Vermiter sind sehr freundlich und geben gute Tipps. Unkomplizierte Kommunikation. Eine sehr schöne und stilvolle Wohnung. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

The best way for your first time experience in Iceland

Excellent location in Reykjavik, close to bus stops, stores, walking, attractions. Cozy and quiet apartment, excellent view of harbour. Well equipped kitchen for when u want to eat in. Very very comfortable bed. Comes with access to washer and dryer. Has excellent bakery at street level entrance to apartment. Guests are provided with recent tour guides of Iceland. Guests questions are answered immediately by owner.

Exactly as advertised

The flat was in outstanding condition. We appreciated the eclectic design choices, and the location couldn't have been more perfect. The host left very detailed instructions that helped immensely. I strongly recommend.

Iceland Trip

We enjoyed our stay at the apartment. Beautiful view, Tinna provided great information for check in, process for using garage if you have a car, suggested grocery store and restaurants. We did day trips each day from this central location. It was nice to have our things in one spot and to come back to a comfortable place to rest.

My and my husband have been active within theatre and music all our lives, I am an actress and former artistic director of the National theatre in Reykjavik, and my husband is an composer, musician and actor. We are now more or less retired and have minimized our livestile. We like to travel and spend a lot of time on our wooden saling boat, which we harbor in Sweden, so our flat is free for longer periods. That is why we like to invite guests to stay while we are away :-)
