Waters Edge Cottage truly lives up to the name - a charming beach cottage in an unbeatable location!

The secluded beachfront bach sits nestled in a native bush setting, and takes you back to Kiwi baches of yesteryear when the only things that mattered were when your next swim was due or when the BBQ would be started up!

Waters Edge Cottage sits on the sands of Cooks Bay in Hahei. Your very own slice of paradise, waking up to waves practically lapping at your doorstep.

Located on a rural bush block between Cooks Beach and Hahei, you're tucked away from it all but just a short drive to Hahei, Hot Water Beach, Cooks Beach and Whitianga via Ferry Landing. Plan a day trip exploring all that the stunning Coromandel has to offer!

The pot belly stove efficiently heats Waters Edge Cottage, so it is nice and cosy for any winter stays! This is the perfect retreat for a small family or group wanting to recharge their batteries the old-fashioned way: sun, sand, swimming and relaxing without the mod-cons that can often detract from holidays today! Fall asleep listening to the waves, and wake up with the tui calling.

An indescribably idyllic beachfront location, discover the untouched paradise that is Waters Edge Cottage today!
Please note that this property has direct, unfenced access to the beach. Adults should closely supervise young children at all times around the water.

There are three access points to the beach, and the pathway can be rocky in places. Guests with limited mobility should take care. Following storms, rocks may build up near the steps. If this area is difficult to navigate, an alternative access route is available via the lawn and family boat ramp.

The oven offers bake functionality only.

The owner's boats stored on the property are not available for guest use.

The second bathroom is located outside the cottage and is accessed via a ramp.

A security camera is positioned at the top of the driveway for security purposes and does not impact guest privacy.

This property is not suitable for pets.

This little place was so stunning we thought our booking got mixed up!

Holy crap this is old school awesome and then some! I'm reluctant to tell everyone how amazing it is just to keep it quiet, but that would be uncool. Tucked away at the top end of Hahei this secluded little bach is about the best place we've ever stayed at. In bush, on water, private beach, walks, fishing, chilling, views for Africa and a deck to cry. I was altogether too happy. Currently re-booking.

A very basic, rustic bach in a lovely spot. Needs major clean up and repair. Although we booked because of the description of seclusion, and own beach access. there was a raucous party next door for several days, and NO access to the beach. Very frustrating

Loved being right on the water; a lovely peaceful, private position.

Loved being right on the water; a lovely peaceful, private position. Tricky having internal access to the second bedroom through the first, though not a problem in fine weather. The outside bathroom had no water when we arrived but the owners were instantly responsive and sorted out the problem as quickly as possible. We had visitors from Australia and we loved our time there.

Location was lovely ;access road questionable for rental cars. Some furniture needed moving & cleaning behind as dead cockroaches were off putting!!! Bach was open on arrival & no instructions for lock up on departure.Also no instructions on when & where to leave rubbish.We had to find out.Not aware that the 2nd bathroom was outside;good job it wasn't raining during the night! for our UK visitors it was a bit basic!!!!

A true kiwi family Bach right on the waters edge and set on a private bush clad section on a family owned 54 acre property. The drive in to the Bach was all part of the adventure and added to the anticipation of seeing our very own piece of paradise right by the water (if only for a short time) - we will be back!

The place is really beautiful.

The place is really beautiful. You have essentially a private beach. The bach has a fully equipped kitchen. When using the burning stove make sure to lift the lever at the lower end of the exhaust pipe, otherwise tons of smoke will get into the house.

Lovely cottage at an amazing location.

Lovely cottage at an amazing location. Enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended. Some dirt road involved, but absolutely fine. Away from the crowd, which is great.
