This Penzance Bay holiday home includes warm and welcoming open plan living, with a fireplace for ideal winter retreats. When the weather is warmer, find you favourite perch outdoors and soak up the stunning scenery! There is ample room to unwind in the sun as you gaze at the tranquil outlook, or fire up the BBQ and enjoy laid back holiday dining.

Bedroom 1 at this Penzance Bay accommodation includes an ensuite, and is fitted with a queen bed. Bedroom 2 also has a queen bed, while bedroom 3 includes 2 single beds. Additional sleeping space is available in the library area, with a single bed - a perfect spot for the kids to camp out!

In addition to the master ensuite, there is a family bathroom to service the remaining rooms.

Lanza Retreat is in a great location approximately 77 kms from Nelson City (1 1/2 hrs driving time), 50 kms from Blenheim, and only 30 kms from Rai Valley (45 mins driving time.)

Penzance is a very sheltered bay surrounded by gigantic ferns and native bush - perfect for waterskiing/wake-boarding and kayaking. Enjoy access right on your doorstep to some of the regions best fishing spots, gorgeous stoney beaches, and clear waters that you will often find the dolphins and seals visiting, and sometimes the Orcas.

The large public jetty is a 5 minute walk away and has excellent facilities with a concrete boat ramp to launch your boat no matter whether its low or high tide, then bring around to the private mooring and jetty. If you are bringing a boat in you will have to bring your own fuel or there is a fuel station at Rai Valley (only accessed by road and takes 45 minutes from Lanza Retreat). If you are coming in a launch by sea there is diesel only available at Elaine Bay (15 mins by boat).

The kids will love the swimming platform close to the main beach and jetty, along with a large reserve for that backyard summer game of cricket.

Enjoy kayaking (a single & double kayak plus x2 children's skiffs are available) the crystal clear waters from our private jetty and meander around the stunning coastline of Penzance Bay.



WALKING TRACKS:
Some of the most stunning native bush in New Zealand is right at our doorstep! If you are into running, walking or mountain biking these tracks are well worth exploring, including the Opouri Bridle Track, the Nydia Track, and Archer's Track

We have a Fishing Charter available for booking, enjoy a full day of sun, sea and fishing - to make your stay an even more memorable experience at Lanza Retreat. Picked up and delivered right back to our very own jetty - all fish is filleted and ready for you to just cook and enjoy. A fantastic day to be had on the waters of the outer Marlborough Sounds.
