Peaceful Mountain Get-Away

Escape the heat of the city, and come on up to the White Mountains of Arizona. Enjoy the mountains, The Mogollon Rim, and all its splendor in our relaxing year-round cabin set in Timberland Acres. At 7000ft elevation with captivating city and mountain views, this cabin is the perfect retreat from all the stresses of the city. A scenic drive of only 2 1/2 hours from Phoenix or 3 1/2 hours from Tucson, we are located 8 miles west of Show Low, Arizona, 3 miles off Hwy 260.

Tucked away on a forested lot with privacy, the peace and quiet will renew your senses. Recently redesigned, our 950 square foot cabin is loaded with charm and is the perfect retreat for two to four. The master bedroom has a King size bed and cozy linens. Snuggle up with your favorite novel, watch television, or just kick back and enjoy the views of the forest. There is one full bath with tub and shower. A stacking washer & dryer are available for your use. Toiletries, towels, soaps and paper products are all provided.

The kitchen features a new stove, dishes, cookware, and although there is no dishwasher, it's stocked with every convenience to make your stay more enjoyable. The family room has a leather sofa sleeper and recliner. There is a 37 inch television with a DVD. We have lots of games, puzzles and cards. The wood stove has an electric log set for the ambiance of a fire without the mess. The cabin also has Gas forced heat and Central air conditioning. The dining area has seating for four. Upstairs in the loft, there is a Queen Size bed. The loft leads out to the observation deck, which offers more incredible views.

Please note that although the cabin is year-round and very accessible, the driveway can sometimes be slick with morning ice, which we maintain by using salt when needed. If you prefer, there is ample parking at the lower half of the property, with a sled available to transport your belongings.

A one-time cleaning fee (non-refundable) of $75.00 is added to all reservations.

Prior approval is required. Please note that wildlife is often seen here; please keep pets leashed for their protection.

Slice of heaven

It simply doesn't get better than this: cozy, clean, quiet, charming, comfy cottage with a killer front porch and to-die-for views. We adored this place and loved every minute of our stay!

Excellent white mountain getaway

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Very clean. Well decorated. Comfortable bed. Beautiful views and felt away from everything, yet a short drive to town. Hope to come again!

Peaceful getaway

This cabin is the perfect getaway. So quiet and great views. While we were there we saw several deer just wander through the property, even stopping and looking at us for a few minutes. The cabin is well stocked with everything you need. We grilled all our meals and even ate some of them outdoors at the picnic table. Our dog had a blast walking around the trails on the property. A lot of our time was spent sitting on the rocking chairs on the peaceful porch. The owners were great to work with, made it so easy. We are already looking at the calendar for next year.

A Wonderful Repeat Stay!

Returning to the cabin is a very comfortable feeling. It truly feels like returning home. Once again everything was in tip-top condition and furnished nicely. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything one might need. The king bed is so comfortable. We spend a lot of time on the porch in the rocking chairs overlooking the town in the distance. Nature is the big plus here - trees, birds and not-so-sly fox. They stroll casually by. The owners are a pleasure and answer any question promptly.

Great getaway..!

This place is perfect for a quiet getaway, it is clean, well kept, the owners did a lot with the space, and we had everything you could think of there. We didn't even have to leave if we didn't want to, you could get groceries & just stay at the house the entire time (which we will probably do, again), We saw a lot of wild life, which we love because we live in a heavily populated city. My hubby is already planning another trip, lol. That never happens! This was a suprise birthday getaway for him, and he loved the cabin so much. There is even a loft with a small office and bedroom upstairs if you want guests. We enjoyed our stay and we will be back.

We thought we would try this cabin for a week and found it to be fabulous! Inside is fully furnished, just like it states in the description. You only need to bring your clothes and plenty of food to cook (whether in the oven, stove top, microwave or grill) and snack on. The king size bed is very comfortable, along with the pillows. Towels are plush, plenty of dish clothes and towels. Amazing how nice and homey this cabin is, neighbors are friendly when out walking. We would sit outside in the morning and listen to the birds and squirrels, at night we would sit outside and see the city lights and stars. Was so peaceful and quiet, no city traffic noise. Did not need to close the blinds at night because there was no one around. We did not need to guess what switches went to what because it was clearly mark. Info about wifi was on the bulletin board. We just loved it and are returning for a month Sept. 2016. Jon and Julie are very nice and accommodating. Thank you both for letting us stay in your cabin and are looking forward to returning.

We were wowed when pulling up the driveway and upon entering the cabin immediately felt like home. The impeccable cleanliness and charming decorating shows the owner really loves this cabin. We were amazed as we opened each drawer and cabinet to find it so well-stocked, even with things we would never have thought about. There are labels on all wall switches so we didn't have a guessing game. Everything worked as it should. The bed was very comfy. When sitting on the large porch we viewed the distant hills and town of Show Low. We were even able to view the July 4 fireworks in town. It was neat to be able to watch the summer monsoon storms rolling in. We had hail and some very hard rains but mostly soft showers in late afternoon. The surroundings are so quiet except for the breeze blowing through the pines and birds chirping. We were able to view deer, turkey and fox from our rocking chairs. The only thing we would recommend are some stick-ons on the shower floor because it's so squeaking clean which makes it slippery! We will definitely return and are looking forward to our next stay. Thank you for sharing your cabin!!

Wow!

This cabin was great! We are going home tomorrow and we don't want to leave. This cabin is fully stocked and you really ONLY need to bring your food and clothes. I loved the fact that there are complete directions spelled out everywhere in the cabin that explain every thing you need to know regarding the cabin. That impressed me. We can't wait to come back. Thanks for such a great, easy time!!!

Tranquil retreat

We were only able to stay a few days but felt very much at home. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with dishes, paper goods, towels, shampoo, etc. There is also a good supply of coffee, hot chocolate, and spices. We loved sitting on the front porch and took advantage of the binoculars provided for closer views of the mountains and the wind farm. We hope we can return for a longer stay.

More Everything

Fantastic Views Immaculate

This cabin reflects owners that truly care about their property and renters. It is immaculate and provides anything you might need for your stay. The decorations are so homey and interesting you can't help but enjoy them. The bed is very comfortable and attention to detail is above and beyond. This one is a MUST if you are in the area very accessible but remote enough to feel secluded.

Nice Cabin With Everything You Need

This is a very nice cabin on top of a hill with a great view. The owners have provided for just about everything you could need. And the place is spotless, with everything in it's place. We were very pleased, and had no complaints at all. We would stay here again.

This was the first time my husband and I have rented a place to get away. It was a most pleasant experience. Thank you for making our anniversary get away so wonderful. It felt like a home away from home. The cabin had all the comforts of home while still enjoying the beautiful, scenic views and the opportunity to be with nature. A Little Bit of Heaven!

This property is our idea of a little bit of heaven. We love this cabin because of the quiet, the views and the solitude. We enjoy our morning coffee on the front porch with the hummingbirds. There are also lots of other critters that visit. We saw a baby squirrel one afternoon. Too cute! The photos are very representative of the property. Actually spot on! The amount of work that has gone into the décor of the cabin is just awesome! It is extremely well put together. The property is just spotless. I would have no problem recommending this property to my friends and relatives. My friend from Florida spent a week with us at the cabin. Her description of the cabin was...another day in paradise! :)

Get away from it all

This is the perfect get away cabin. Great ammenities and tremendous attention to detail. We were wanting for nothing short of food. Everything is in perfect working order and overall is very comfortable. Scenic views are outstanding and privacy is a huge plus. I would highly recommend this cabin. BB and AB.

A Charming Place to spend a month.

The listing is accurate but does't begin to describe the attention that was made to making us comfortable in this lovely cabin. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the basics, there was more than enough quality linens , plenty of games, two tv's with cable, and WiFi. The star attraction ,howevewr, was the front porch!!! We spent many hours enjoying the view , watching the vast sky with storm clouds or big fluffy clouds. The night sky was incredible with a million stars. Peacefull and restfull, but close enough to Show Low, and other nearby communities and attractions if you want to explore the sourounding areas. Our dog loved the cabin as much as we did and we are already planning our next trip to the White Mountaians and this wonderful property.

Our stay at the cabin was most enjoyable and relaxing. We experienced some of the wild life in the area which was something to see, the bear was quite calm and so were we after we got into the cabin from the porch he was quite a beauty, just checking us out. We also saw deer and some other critter that we couldn't identify long body pointed nose, maybe a badger no sure. We found the cabin quite charming and very clean, and had no trouble feeling at home since we are former cabin owners in Colorado. After we had been to Show Low several times we begin to find the restaurant that appealed to us Lucano's Mexican food was very good. We would recommend your property to family and friends and We know that they would feel at home like we did, enjoying coffee on the porch in the morning and seeing the city lights come on in the evening the view is wonderful to see for miles all around.

Perfectly Peaceful

Perfect cabin get away. Well-equipped and wonderfully clean. Our only regret is that it is so far away from southern Californian; such a long drive. Ideal if you are only coming from Flagstaff or Phoenix. Or a great place to rest a couple of nights if you are taking a leisurely drive across country. I wish we were closer and would spend time there several times a year. So clean. We came home and are seriously considering hiring someone to clean for us at our place. Loved the observation deck for sunning and relaxing. And our dog was welcome and enjoyed himself too.

In need of some R&R? Look no further!!

My husband & I and our 2 boxers just enjoyed one of the best/most relaxing vacations we’ve had in a long time! If you are looking for a beautiful place to relax and escape the stresses of everyday life, look no further – this is THE place! It has that perfect cozy cabin feel, with tons of character and charm but also has all of the amenities and creature comforts one could need. The location is perfect – close enough to town that everything is just a short drive away (stores, lakes, hiking, fishing, biking, etc.), but far enough away that it feels very secluded and private. The views from every angle of this cabin are amazing and breathtaking! We spent every morning out on the front porch eating breakfast, talking, reading and just taking in the scenery. Sunset from the observation deck was equally as beautiful, and was probably my favorite spot in the cabin. It wasn’t necessarily cold enough yet to need the fireplace, but at night we turned on the electric log set for the ambiance and it was just as nice. The king sized bed is extremely comfortable with nice high quality linens – providing much needed R&R. The owners stock the cabin with all the basics and much more – pots/pans, kitchen utensils, coffee maker, tea pot, spices, butter, cook books, paper products, etc. There is a computer/office set up in the upstairs loft with wireless internet service for those of us who find it hard to completely disconnect. We were very sad to leave at the end of our stay and highly recommend this cabin to others! Thank you to the owners for being so hospitable, making the rental process a breeze, and allowing us to share your cabin. We are already planning another trip for next year, but this time we hope to make it 2 weeks! Thank you, The McDowells

Perfect end to a long adventure!!!

Everything was perfect! The view from the back deck was amazing! We spent each afternoon & early evening sitting in the rocking chairs, reading, talking, and truly relaxing. Staying at your cabin was a perfect end to our 1000 mile road trip through New Mexico and Northern Arizona.. Julie and Jon made renting the cabin a breeze! We can't wait to come back! First cabin we have found with a king sized bed!

My husband often does a triathlon in Show Low and I loved knowing he would get a good night's sleep in a big bed (before and after the race), something we don't normally find. We also loved the great porch with rockers and a cushy futon to hang out on. The cabin has a very charming and smart layout and wonderful breezes when opened up. The pictures reflected what we found and the place was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed and cookware was in great shape. The location is very private and quiet. My adult daughter and I visited for 3 nites with our two Bichon mix dogs. We loved the cabin -- the layout, supplies (including adequate bath and hair towels, facial tissues and other paper products), kitchen utensils, TV and comfortable porch where we peacefully read books, watched hummingbirds and took in the views. Wonderful windows and cross-ventilation. We took walks but, thankfully, did not encounter any critters. We all enjoyed the cooler temps. This cabin is definitely on our "return" list!

we arrived about 1pm to find a delightful cabin, fully equipped with every iitem necessary to spend a wonderful week. Back up supplies were stored ready to restock. The view from the hill side was perfect to view Show Low in the distance. Morning sunrises were bright and the days were clear. Only one problem, Norma's heart was not able to handle to 7000 ft elevation. On the morning of the 4th day, we had to packup and head to lower levels, which meant Tucson. It was nearly a week before Norma started to feel more normal. Not the cabins fault, nor the owners. They were wonderful about the shortened visit. I strongly recommend this place to all who enjoy the outdoors.
