Perfect Location

The house was perfect for our long weekend. We enjoyed the screened in porch, the rooftop deck and the proximity to the beach.

Great place!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 2nd time renting this place. It has been upgraded since we were last there which was a nice surprise. There were 5 of us and it worked perfectly for our needs. Plenty of space and ample cooking supplies. It rained everyday so it was nice to have the screened-in porch to hang out since we couldn't do the beach. Only area of concern was the WIFi. It was basically non-existent. We had to go to a public place to be able to conduct virtual meetings for work. So, if you need to work from the house, keep this in mind.

Americana Beach—Memorial Day-June.

The bedroom with the bunk beds gets a little stuffy—I know a ceiling fan there might be problematic, but some kind of fan would be nice. The screened in porch was great, but it might need a larger/second fan as well. Overall, though, we were very satisfied with the house.

November 2020 Stay

we really enjoyed our long weekend stay at americana dream! the house was clean and the decor adorable! everything is updated and nice..it's the perfect place for a couple of families to share. the crows nest was nice this time of year and the beach access just steps from the back door was perfect!!! this was our 2nd stay with jekyll realty and it was perfect both times! we will be back!

We had a great time at this house! It was perfect for me, my husband, my daughter & her husband, my husbands mother & our 3 granddaughters. We loved the screened in back porch and the upper deck. Our favorite part was the convenient beach access right outside the back door! We would definitely choose to stay here again in the future!

Awesome location!

We really enjoyed this house. I liked how the description of the house had a floor plan so I knew exactly how to arrange people. It is unusual to have bunk beds, but I have 3 kids and that is very helpful. It would be great to have a more complete list of what is available in the kitchen and what is not. I brought dishwasher soap, but it was there. No salt or anything like that. There was a regular coffee maker and a Keurig. Some might find the water on the island has a taste so may want to bring it or buy it at the small grocery right next to Jekyll Realty. Towels and sheets were not provided which was fine, but you better be in decent shape if you have to slither up to make the top bunk! Loved how close we were to the beach and all the fun stuff on Jekyll. Such a lovely view from the porch on the top of the house. Quiet and peaceful area. Great wi-fi and TVs. A replacement of the king mattress is probably warranted here as my husband and I both found it could use it. One side in particular was worn. In short, a good time was had by all here. I would definitely return!

Great stay for our big family

We had three separate households staying together and it worked out perfectly. The three bathrooms were helpful as well as the super spacious dining/kitchen area. Love the closed in screen patio as well as the roof top deck where you can see and hear the waves. The path to the beach is a game changer for families lugging lots of gear to and from the beach! The only downside of this is the random people walking by and parking right next to the house to get to the beach. We also had many people cutting through our back yard throughout the week which can be a tad strange and unnerving. Lastly the front door was continuously an issue even after we addressed it. It would not stay closed.

Family Biking Vacation

Everyone in our group of six adults and two kids (5 and 7) loved this house and it’s location. The crosswalk to the beach is right outside the back door. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. A quirk we hadn’t seen in our many house/condo rentals was ice trays instead of an ice maker in the refrigerator. Nor had we ever not had bed linens and towels provided. They’re available for rental or you can bring your own. Not an issue—just new to us. The house provides an excellent washer and dryer. The house also has a sun deck with table and chairs for dining. We enjoyed eating up there and just relaxing. A screened patio had two dining tables and a seating area. The indoor dining table seated our group of eight very comfortably. This was a biking group, and we covered practically every trail on Jekyll. We rented an adult/kid tandem bike for the five year old who wasn’t proficient enough to ride bike trails. He loved it-highly recommend. The house is located at the end of a short side street with hardly any traffic and was very quiet. We would definitely rent this house again.

The only complaints I have is that the a/c is locked and can't adjust below 70, which made it warm with 7 people in the house and so many windows. The second complaint is the refrigerator does not have an ice maker. Other than that, it was a brilliant stay.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed the trip, the island, and time with the family. However, the rental was a bit of a dump. Great location and overall layout was good, but the place was filthy and not as nice as the pics online. Examples: air returns and surrounding area on ceiling is caked with dust; baseboards and trim throughout the house is in poor condition and are filthy; light fixtures throughout the house are not flush with the ceiling and as a result there are constantly flies, wasps, spiders, etc invading the living space; shower in guest bath was dirty - looked like someone just finished shaving in it; tables and chairs in porch area were not wiped down. Also, the gas grill was out of propane and the cookware was so poor that I went out and bought a new pan to get by for the week. Enjoyed the stay at Jekyll but won’t be coming back to this house.

When we arrived the comforters on the beds were very dirty and needed washed before use; the mattresses could use an upgrade. The home is tastefully decorated but could really use more cookware (especially for large families); a griddle; bigger pots and pans; the Keurig did not work.
