Beautiful White Sand Gulf Beaches-Orange Beach, Alabama

Sugar Beach is a fantastic beachfront vacation getaway!

Great one bedroom (with 1 queen bed) two bath condo. The bedroom and bath is upstairs. There is a sleeper sofa and 1 bath downstairs along with a fully equipped kitchen, including stove, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. There is also a full size washer and dryer in the unit. Our unit offers Internet and WiFi connectivity. The balcony overlooks one of the pools and has an indirect view of the beach.

Sugar beach is located near many great activities, restaurants, and shopping. The gulf state park is located an easy walk from the complex. Also, Sugar Beach has four great pools; one is a kiddie pool and one is heated. Don't forget the Sugar Shack which offers refreshments, food and activities. There are grills and a nice covered eating area on the beach side. Sugar beach has covered parking so your car will be out of the weather.

This complex is in Orange Beach Alabama which offers a great variety of family friendly activities as well as a relaxing vacation.

NOTE-UPON ARRIVAL AT THE GUARD GATE YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE A $35 (CASH ONLY) PARKING PASS PER VEHICLE--LIMIT ONE VEHICLE

"LEAVE NO FOOTPRINTS"--REMOVE ALL PERSONAL ITEMS WHEN LEAVING THE BEACH FOR THE DAY...THE CITY WILL COME THROUGH ONE HOUR AFTER DARK AND CLEAR OUT ALL TENTS, AWNINGS, CHAIRS ETC THAT ARE LEFT UNATTENDED.

Easy Beach Access

We mainly booked this place because it is right on the beach and did not plan to be at the condo much during the day. We are a family of four and there was room for all of us, but it was a little cramped. Just perfect for sleeping at night though! The condominium complex could use a face-lift, but the condo itself was clean and comfortable.

Overall fine. Only one elevator was working. In condo, listing has two TVs, there was only one in living room. Microwave and dishwasher worked but not strong. Small issues.

It’s a lovely location! Super awesome staff- those people were friendly and cleaning and doing work! Only suggestion is a tv in the bedroom. It was fair pricing, older but awesome spot. Recommend with no qualms.

It was a cute little condo. But we didn’t realize that they were 14 steps to go upstairs to the bedr

We got there and everything was fine until we got into the condo and realized there was 14 steps to go up to the bedroom. My husband was on unable to do that as he is disabled so he had to use the pullout couch every night the surroundings of the pools were very nice, the little candy shack or restaurant was not open until three days before we left. We also left on Wednesday instead of today because my mother-in-law passed away so there are four days that would be nice if we got our money back also while we were there, one of the elevators didn’t work for a good week, and many people had to use the second elevator to go up and down, and that was quite an inconvenience again, because my husband is a disabled , and there were a lot of elderly people. I don’t believe that I would stay in that complex again we would rather look for a two bedroom somewhere down there and all on one floor so thank you.

Nice place

Stayed here while in Alabama for a wedding with friends. It was pretty clean, i did sweep up tons of sand in the upstairs the 1st day and picked up trash and water bottles behind toliet and under bed and in closet. But over all clean.. had a decent kitchen, everything worked as expected. Good beach, nice pools...owner was fast in communication...Cons .Parking is congested, and tight, my truck ended up getting a huge scratch. The elevator was so slow to wait on. Not having an ocean front view on the balcony, which i knew didn't.. I personally ended up having to leave a day early. So i really hope things were picked up and left in order.

Not as expected

This was our 4th trip to the area. Booked this condo because of the multiple 5 star reviews. It was not as expected. The complex is every old and needs updating. The unit was okay, not as clean as expected. It is very small for two adults and two 11 year olds. Not enough seating in the living room and very tight. The beach access, pools, and security were great. Better accommodations are available for the price.

Good stay on the beach

The unit was clean upon arrival and all equipment worked well the length of our stay. Nicely updated appliances and countertops. It’s not a huge place but worked well for what we needed for two adults and a 12 year old. Pool view from patio and side view of the Gulf. The grounds of the complex were “ok” but some areas are in need of maintenance. Overall, I was pleased with the price and can’t pick apart a older building. The location was great and just a short hop to most everything! Thanks Mary for being a great host!

Gorgeous beach

We stay at this facility all the time. It is lovely. Family oriented. Good pools. Mary was pleasant to talk with. The only issue is the couch is uncomfortable to sit in. And there is no tv upstairs. Overall the unit was decorated cute and was clean. We will stay again. Hope the high rise next door will not hurt the property rentals.

Our first time to Orange Beach was great!

The condo was excellent!! Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children under 10) fit nicely. The beach was beautiful and not crowded, unlike our other friends who stayed in one of the high rises. The condo itself was beautiful and updated. The in unit washer and dryer was such an added plus! Convenient location, close to Gulf Shores. Parking is tight if you have a larger vehicle, but we expected that. The complex is on the older side, but the Sugar Shack makes great drinks and not having to fight for elevators and go up and down 30 flights was amazing!! We will definitely stay again :)

Convenient location

We loved the ease of access to all the places we were interested in visiting. The complex is very family friendly. If you stay here, jog across the street to get some takeout seafood from Lartigue's; it was very fresh and perfectly steamed.

Family Vacation with small kids

Checking in was easy and most parking spaces are in the shade so your car is relatively cool if you get in in the middle of the day. There were three pools to choice from on the property. The beach was not crowded. Our unit was stocked with small travel supplies of laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent, which was very considerate. There was a big stock pot in one of cabinets that was the perfect size for the low country boil we did on our last night. Our kids( 2 years old and 10 months) felt comfortable in the unit and on the property and had plenty to do. One thing to keep in mind your first time approaching the property is that it is hard to see across the road, so slow down and keep your eyes out for the entrance.

Mike and I recently purchased this condo because we love the beautiful beaches in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. My husband grew up in Mobile and enjoy getting back there as often as possible. We live just outside of Louisville Kentucky where both of us were born and lived most of our adult life. My husband is a custom cabinet maker and owns his own business. I am a commercial banker along with managing our rental houses here in Louisville.

We love the Sugar Beach complex. It has great security with management of the complex living on site. Also, along with the beautiful beaches this complex is located next great restaurants, activities, shopping and more.
