Cute Mid-Century Cottage on Fine Lake!

Come on over to the lake and chill out in our retro cottage! Built in 1967 by a family friend, our A-frame cabin features cozy and comfortable living space in a rural setting. A living room, dining room, kitchen, full bath, and bedroom fill out the downstairs, and the upstairs loft features an office area, half bath, and additional bedroom with balcony.

While staying in our family's lake house, you can settle in and enjoy reading a book on the deck with your toes in the water or exploring the lake by our pair of kayaks. Pontoon rental available. Free public boat launch down the road. Spend the evenings roasting marshmallows over the fire pit down by the lake or playing games with your loved ones on the dining table. The property also has wi-fi and a Roku tv.

Nearby attractions include the Gilmore Car Museum, Gull Meadow Farms, Kellogg Bird Sanctuary, FireKeepers Casino, Downtown Kalamazoo, & Downtown Battle Creek. The choice is yours to have fun and enjoy!

"HOUSE RULES"
- NO PARTIES or unregistered guests are permitted without prior permission from the property owner. MAXIMUM 5 GUESTS AT ALL TIMES. Unauthorized parties and gatherings will be subject to a $1,000 unauthorized event fee!
- NO SMOKING INSIDE! Smoking is permitted outdoors and cigarette butts must be thrown away.
- RESPECT THE HOUSE AND THE NEIGHBORHOOD: Our home is located in a residential neighborhood and there are other homeowners nearby. As a courtesy to the neighborhood, guests must cease making noise between the hours of 10pm and 8am.
- CHECK-IN TIME: 3pm
- CHECK-OUT TIME: 11am

Relaxing and charming

The triangle house was so relaxing and charming. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and at home. We loved the comfy beds, beautiful little lake and front porch. The hummingbird feeder brought a couple adorable hummingbirds around daily and the fish were biting right off the dock. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Little Getaway

We loved the cozy feel of this beautiful A frame, and really enjoyed that we could bring our dogs with us. There's a ton to do in a nearby radius and the owners do a great job providing information on those options.

Beautiful Eclectic Cabin

The house is so cute! Loved the mid century decor. Property manager was quick to respond on questions we had. Great setup for what we needed. Would stay again!

Just what we needed for a honeymoon

We envisioned our honeymoon to have the time and space for us to be able to connect, bond, dream and chart our lives together.. and this property has enabled us to do so... the lake, the dock, the fire pit by the dock, the huge glass windows and the telescope, helped us talk about our dreams, created plenty of moments to look into the sky and just dream big, pray to God and invite Him into our lives. We definitely will be back and have family or friends enjoy this special place with us.

Unique getaway

My friends and I agreed that this was one of our more unique getaways! The decor is amazing. We rented the pontoon boat and had a great time! For anyone who plans to stay inside during a summer day though, please note there is no AC! With the fans, It felt good at night though.

Very cool and unique house on a great lake

Spent 2 weeks in this great and well appointed lake house with our family. Enjoyed the vintage pontoon so much we immediately purchased one just like it after we returned home. Highly recommend

Great MCM house with a View

We loved the triangle house- from the aesthetic of the house itself to the view of the lake and the ease of access, it was a great trip! There was construction happening next door (nothing that the owners of this property could do about that), but other than that it was a great few days! We did rent the pontoon boat and felt it was well worth it. The lake is the perfect size (not too big or too small) and fishing was excellent for my kids. We also enjoyed kayaking :) It is VERY "buggy" so make sure you pack bug spray and shake everything out before you pack your car up to go home (we had several "travelers" that tried to come home with us in the form of earwigs and there were many, many spiders at the property- so if you have bug phobias, beware and be prepared!). Overall great time!

Very Retro!

Very cute! Very rural, but with a great view of the water. Fine lake is even more beautiful than we imagined! We loved the retro 60's vibe of the cabin, and the communication with the host was great. :) We highly recommend stopping at Cedar Creek for a beautiful scenic hike, and stopping in at Grove Street Cafe for breakfast, ask for Elizabeth as your server! The cottage is well stocked with amenities, and has it own quirks but you learn quickly how to make your way around. We definitely plan to go back again! <3

A frame paradise

Everything about this place was great . We had a fire every night down by the water and fished . There are tons of bluegill right around the dock . We also rented the boated to cruise around which was very enjoyable. Very clean water no garbage or liter anywhere. We will be back in the future for sure .

Beautiful Lake House

Nicely appointed, everything you could want in a lake house. We loved sitting on the front porch enjoying the lake breeze. Busy road out front may be an issue for small children or pets.

cute cabin in beautiful location

This is a cute and very clean cabin in a beautiful spot at the lake. The only (small) downside is the street that separates the cabin from the shore. Otherwise perfect. Very nice owner.

Great trip

Great property and area. Quiet and safe feeling. Beautiful views and great breeze. We only wish there was a portable AC for the bedroom at night... hubby is hot natured especially at night. Appreciate all the kitchen amenities and having WiFi access. Welcome basket was very kind. Thank you for letting us stay at your wonderful home.

Cozy House on Beautiful Lake

Our family rented this charming A-frame for a week. It was perfect. We enjoyed cruising the lake on the pontoon and racing with the kayaks. The house was comfortable and neatly decorated in mid-century mod style which suited the house well. All the amenities were furnished. We even enjoyed making s'mores over the firepit on the shoreline. We plan to return in the future.

Romantic and Relaxing Getaway

Such an amazing time spent here! The car museum was a short distance away & was so cool! Everywhere you drive is so scenic & coming back to the Triangle house just makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed. As a huge lover of MCM, I can say this house has it in spades. We spent most of our time sitting on the front porch enjoying the view, lake breezes, and each other's company. We will definitely be back!

Loved the triangle house!

Beautiful property! Our family and dog loved the lake, the house, and surroundings communities. The owners were excellent with communication, providing updates and answering questions. They provided us with a goodie bag of treats when we arrived, which was a lovely surprise. Would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing lake getaway.

Great place for our weekend at the lake

We had a great time at the Triangle House. The house is unique with it's A frame and retro furnishings. It came equipped with everything we needed (except we could not find any steak knives). It is located right on the lake; although there is a road between the front of the house and the lake, there is an area on the lake with chairs, a fire pit, and ample room to hangout. We spent most of our days lounging and fishing at the area right by the lake, and we spent evenings around the fire pit. We also enjoyed kayaking around the lake.

Not the best vacation

It was a really hot week to not have air conditioning. Screen door in front would not close so could not get good air flow. Slider in rear bedroom latch and lock was broken. Not enough seating in front room if you have guests.

Quaint, Quiet and a nod to the past.....

This is a rare find! Unique property finished vintage mid-century modern to at T! If you want to feel like you are staying at the Brady Bunch's vacation cottage (that's in a good way) STAY HERE! So fun, so cool! the lake is quiet, the neighborhood is nice, established and family oriented. PEACEFUL! STAY ! !

We loved our little getaway! Quaint and quiet!

We loved the triangle house and the location! On a small lake that is really clean, peaceful, and quiet! 6 teachers got away for a little time to Relax and rest. The house is clean but needs to be cleaned of cobwebs and checked for spiders. The host is very prompt and helpful! We loved taking the pontoon out...lots of fun!
