Sunset Landing Villa #286. Long Island, Maine Waterfront! Say no more, this is paradise. This is Casco Bay's best kept secret. Your own private deck steps away from Maine's 4 pristine beaches, some of the best bird watching in Long Island's land conservation, and the juiciest tasting lobster Maine has to offer!

Getting around
Long Island, located in Casco Bay, is one of Maine’s 15 islands with year-round communities. Located 6 miles off the coast of Portland, the only access to the island is by ferry ride (45 minutes), water taxi or private boat. The island is 3 miles long and 1 mile wide. There is no transportation on the island however bikes are available for rent in the amount of $20 a day on a first come first serve basis. There is also "Long Island Golf Cart Rentals, LLC" on the island, I suggest you reach out and rent a golf cart. There is parking available on the premise for both golf carts and vehicles. You may find getting a vehicle over to the island to be a hassle, but they are certainly welcome and you will save money. 1 vehicle per party please unless authorized before hand. I would plan through the Casco Bay Ferry Terminal for times the barge is going down ocean. Occasionally, I will be able to pick you up from the ferry to bring you to the destination which is no more than 4 football fields of a walk off to the right of the landing. You can't miss Sunset Landing, a beautiful blue home that awaits your stay. You are centrally located at this property, so you don't need to do a whole lot of traveling, this quiet island is great for anyone looking to get away from stress. Ferry Terminal is a short 5 mile uber ride from the JetPort

Your unit has a private deck and a gorgeous private master bath. The entire villa is 1752 sq. ft. and you have control over the entire unit including private entrance. The unit is kept clean, and all amenities are included. If you’re truly looking for a getaway then look no further. Great for anyone looking to give the islands an adventure for a couple days or week long stays.

Long Island is the best kept secret of Casco Bay. Once a part of the vibrant city Portland, Maine, Long Island succeeded in 1993 from the great city keeping all of the good and doing away with the bad. What you find here is good ol' locals whom welcome all, but only ask that you tell very few in hopes you'll return to what has been truly a best kept secret.

And at night I might catch the ferry into Portland for some of the best cuisine this side of the Atlantic while taking the ferry or a private taxi back to Sunset Condos.
Island hoping is always fun, and certainly meeting all new people and celebrating different stories is something I embrace. If you're looking for culture, then I promise you'll find it here.
I like the land conservation because hiking is one of my true passions. Something about nature calms me and gives me that inspiration and creativity I desire to move forward.
Take advantage of the many activities, such as pottery classes, yoga, archery, community pizza night, the historical museum, library, and beach parties.
At the end of the day, the best place to be is right on the deck relaxing. If you get hungry there is store next door and one right down the road.
There is also a church behind the property for those who worship. There are also tennis courts and a basketball court at the school.
