Casa Marianne is in a prime location, just below the lighthouse at Punta de la Mona peninsula. The appealing complex La Aldea is particularly distinguished by the fact that no house is like another. From the spacious balcony opens a stunning view of red tiled roofs and lush flowers away to the sea, two beaches and the marina with bars, restaurants, galleries and the dive center. Here you can see with a little luck even pass the sunset and dolphins.
The bright and tastefully furnished house offers a spacious living area, a fully equipped kitchen and a toilet on the upper floor. The lower floor has 2 facing the sea double room, each with a small balcony, 2 bathrooms / WC and a washing machine. The residents of the complex is a well-kept, exclusive pool. Casa Marianne is ideal for families and couples.


For errands in the village (2 km) and for exploring the surrounding area a car is recommended, which can be parked in front of the House.

very satisfied a fantastic accommodation

A wonderful holiday we are happy to go back here, You need a car and the pool is a located a bit down from the apartment, but the view from the terrace outweighs everything. La Herradura is a nice town and the surroundings are beautiful, and it is not far by car to Nerja or Almanucar we are happy to go back here.

Great place!

The house is great. It has a fantastic view of the Mediterranean see from the living room and the terrace. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Very clean. La Herradura is on walking distance, but you need a car.

Apartment was clean tidy and local area quiet. Great balcony over looking the sea. Liked the fly screen on bedroom windows, did n't have to worry about insects at night.

Vacation Paradise

Thomas' house near Herradura was the nicest vacation rental we have rented in Europe in some 3 months of rentals over the past 5 years. Very spacious living, sleeping and bath rooms with marble floors, sea-facing balconies in both bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and most of all a very large terrace off the living area with panoramic views of the Mediterranean over the tiled roofs in the beautiful development of vacation homes. Parking was immediately in front of the door, and the communal pool was perfect for those few hot days during our stay. The on-site manager speaks excellent English and was very helpful with directions to facilities and ideas for outings in the area. We highly recommend this property!

Week stay at Casa Marianne

Very clean house! Great location but if you have a car beware of very narrow and tight spaces to navigate. House manager Alex was very responsive. There were no check in instructions. A basic notebook of house instructions would have been very helpful- instructions for fans, washing machine, internet passwords, trash disposal, local grocery etc. New bedroom pillows are needed— too flat, bedding and towels could be updated.

Fantastic House in a Beautiful setting

Casa Mariannne is simply perfect. It is situated on a cliff in La Herradura and has views which are astounding. We really enjoyed the most amazing sunsets and sunrises. Although it was December we made full use of the terrace and it was delightful to eat "al fresco". The house itself is on two levels with the bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs. The entrance leads to the living room, kitchen and the terrace. It is very functional and it was a pleasure to return there at the end of the day's touring. Casa Marianne would be our first preference if we decide to holiday in the area again. Thank you Mr. Geyer.

Superb stay in a beautiful property

My husband, daughter and I have just returned from a 10 night stay in Casa Marianne, a gorgeous property. Thomas the owner was brilliant, even accommodating an early check in and answered any questions we had prior to our stay. The house itself is very welcoming and homely and very well equipped for every need during our stay. The location is superb, the view from the balcony is stunning, we regularly watched a pod of dolphins swimming by whilst enjoying breakfast on the balcony. The house is ideally located for visiting La Herradura or Almunecar, and just over an hour to Granada. We cannot recommend this property enough, it was an absolute pleasure to stay here whilst we explored an area of Spain we've previously never visited. Thank you Thomas (and Luis the house manager who met us when we arrived and explained everything), we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Fabulous house and a beautiful location, with everything you would need for an amazing holiday!

A beautiful house, with a fabulous terrace, with the most amazing views out to sea. We were really impressed to get sun on the terrace from sunrise through till 5pm - and this was in December/January!! It was our little corner of paradise, very sheltered and much warmer than the beach. With both sets of patio doors open it created an even bigger sunnier space for us to chill in. The kitchen has everything you could ever need. Huge main bathroom, very comfy beds. The house was immaculately clean, and we loved the underfloor heating keeping us very cosy, as it does get cool on winter evenings. Perfect location and very quiet, hardly any traffic or 'people noise'. A lovely walk to the marina, or main beach in La Herradura, great exercise as downhill on the way there (15 mins walk) and uphill all the way back (30 mins walk). Can't wait to return!

A nice stay

We have rented in La Herradura many times so we know the area very well. Casa Marianne was not a disappointment. Very clean, plenty of room for the two of us, well stocked kitchen (the only thing we missed was a blender) and the bed had good mattresses. The view from the balcony was wonderful with sun from early morning until late afternoon, and we also saw a whale! We often took a walk to town, it takes about 20 min. We love this area so much because we have a lot of great places to visit by car that are not so far away. Will recommend hiking in the Rio Verde valley with special waterfalls, a small stalactite cave and wonderful nature and mountains. From Frigiliana we have often taken the 4 hours hike to the top of El Fuerte. The view from the top is stunning! This will not be our last visit to La Herradura, and we would love to stay in casa Marianne another time. Thomas, the owner, is a great host that answered our questions very quickly. Thank you! Punta de la Mona - A Fantastic Location

A beautiful two story villa in La Aldea complex with a shared swimming pool. The complex is very attractively laid out with a series of small roads providing for car access to the villas. Each level of which there are 3 or 4 are also interconnected via steps. The pool is at the lowest level, access to the pool is via a locked gate and is for the exclusive use of the Aldea complex residence, it was never busy while we were there and in fact most times my wife and I were the only users. A beautiful pool, very well kept and using sea water which was an added bonus. Be aware that there are a significant number of steps to be negotiated between the villa (level 3) and the Pool (level 1). The villa itself was in pristine condition, very spacious and bright. The bedrooms situated on the lower floor are large and thankfully each had a ceiling fan to keep the rooms cool. Upstairs there is is an elegant entrance hall, living room and a compact kitchen with all amenities. However this villa is really all about the magnificent sea views and the outdoor living space. The views are truly stunning. The large balcony has a table with four chairs and two loungers. The owner was exceptionally easy to deal with, responded to emails very quickly and was always helpful. Would we go back again? Absolutely! Would we recommend it to friends?Absolutely! Tony

Amazing stay at La Herradura

I cannot say better words about this property. My wife is quite exigent but she does not get involved in the selection so it's usually a surprise for her, like booking through Hotwire, and she LOVED IT. The views at dawn are stunning!!! I used to wake up early and have a cup of coffee while enjoying the orange sky in an absolute silence. The house is very big with a first floor including a kitchen dining and living areas and small guest toilet. The bottom floor has a master bedroom with its master bathroom that has a large bathtub and separate shower and it's massive, and the second room is also quite big and there is another bathroom with shower in the access to both rooms. We did not use the swimming pool since we wanted to stay at different beaches but we stopped by to see it. It's some levels below the house. You need to go up and down but due to this inclination of the hill you can have those stunning views from the terrace. The relation with the owner and the property manager was excellent and fluid at any time. We arrived very late at night and they were flexible to arrange how to deliver the keys. Free WiFi. The property was extremely clean and kitchen had all what you need for cooking, plus two different types of coffee machines: filter and capsules (of course, you need to buy yours). Very close to La Herradura city center and beach. Many people walked up and down to the city. we would have done it but we stayed with a 16 months old baby that would have made it very difficult, but if you are in a good shape, leave the car keys at home and strength your legs!! Thank you for the stay and as we already have flight tickets for 2022 , we will probably book the same property again.

Eine schöne großzügige Wohnung mit großer Terrasse und einem unvergleichlichen Blick aufs Meer und die Bucht. Es handelt sich um eine zweigeschossige Wohnung mit 2 Schlafzimmern und 2 Bädern im Untergeschoß. Im Erdgeschoß liegen Diele, Küche, Toilette und ein großer Wohn- Essbereich mit Durchgang zur Terrasse. Das Auto parkt direkt vor der Eingangstür. Die Küche ist perfekt eingerichtet; alle Geräte vorhanden, genügend Geschirr und es gibt eine Durchreiche zum Essplatz. Eine kleine Bibliothek mit unterschiedlichen Büchern erspart das Mitnehmen von gewichtigem Lesestoff. Der mittelgroße Pool liegt zwar zwei Terrassen tiefer (110 Stufen) ist aber durchaus der Mühe wert. In der Regel nicht überlaufen und schön angelegt, findet man Ruhe und Entspannung. Unser Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und überaus hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt.

Eine tolle Ferienwohnung mit allem, was man benötigt.Die Aussicht auf das Meer ist traumhaft und man kann viele tolle Dinge in der Umgebung unternehmen.Die ruhige Lage hat uns besonders gefallen. Da wir Urlaub mit Entspannung verbinden und keinen Gefallen am Massentourismus haben, war das Ferienobjekt perfekt.

Sehr hübsch, freundlich und hell, hochwertige Ausstattung, alles vorhanden, wunderbare Aussicht, leicht zu finden, absolut ruhige Nachbarschaft, Schwimmbad ist sauber, groß und tief, Planschbecken für kleine Kinder auch vorhanden, zu Fuß zum Meer ist sportlich aber machbar, Kommunikation mit dem Eigentümer von Anfang an Super!!!

Het was onze vijfde keer dat we op Punta de la Mona verbleven. Zoals steeds hebben we genoten van de rust en het mooie uitzicht. Casa Marianne is goed uitgeruste woning met een magnifiek uitzicht. Er is geen airconditioning aanwezig wat op hete dagen kan zorgen voor een hogere temperatuur in de living en keuken. Op de slaapkamers was het goed met de ventilator en het raam dat voorzien was van muggengaas. Een tip misschien een mobiele airco voorzien in de living. We verbleven in 2019 ook reeds in deze urbanisatie en het was een blij terugzien. Casa Marianne is een aanrader voor wie houdt van rust en mooie uitzichten.

Beautiful views

La zona és muy bonita y hay variedad de playas, pueblos, bares, etc... La casa está muy bien y goza de unas vistas muy bonitas. Muy bien distribuida, y con corriente de aire muy agradable. La urbanización es muy bonita pero está un poco lejos del pueblo. Lo que le da un encanto y tranquilidad especial, pero resta accesibilidad. Nosotros somos de coger el coche para visitar sitios y básicamente íbamos a dormir. Pero se necesita coche y GPS para no perderte . El anfitrión muy accesible y contesta enseguida .

Wir haben eine schöne Woche in dem sauberen und mit liebe gepflegten Haus verbracht. Es ist alles vorhanden was wir benötigt haben, vom Spiel bis zu den Schuhbürsten. Das Wasser im schön angelegten und gepflegten Pool war frisch, aber Schwimmen ging schon. Es ist angenehm ruhig, so das man auch beim Wellenrauschen auf den Liegen auf dem Balkon dösen kann. Der Weg vom Strand hoch zum Haus auf dem Berg ist zu Fuß anstrengend.

Un bel appartement bien situé

Très bel appartement, très bel emplacement. Le seul problème, c'est l'absence de climatisation pour un séjour en été.

Merci pour votre gentil commentaire, vous avez raison, la climatisation serait possible, nous avons juste trouvé que la brise fraîche de la mer et les ventilateurs étaient suffisants jusqu'à présent, mais oui, s'il fait de plus en plus chaud à l'avenir, nous l'achèterons. Amitiés, Thomas
