Upscale retreat space for large families, big groups, reunions or for scrapbooking/craft groups. Extra large master bedroom with stunning cherry wood walls and a king sized bed located on the first floor. Upstairs features a "Bunk Room" with 8 comfy beds and has a fun "slumber party" vibe. Very open with 2 floors and 2 full bathrooms. Fully furnished, including gourmet kitchen, oversized gas oven/stove and double sized fridge and freezer. Tons of counter space inside, plus washer/dryer. Outside is fire pit, BBQ and multiple eating/picnic areas.

Second great stay

Traveled from OH to visit my son at Ft Hood 2 years ago and had to get this place again. Such a peaceful and quiet setting with loads of wildlife. Clean and spacious accommodations. Travel from this location to most anywhere in the area is super easy. Always good communication with the owners. This place is a hidden gem.

Deep in the country woods

This property is perfect if you need a place to get away from everything. It was larger than expected, spacious, an awesome space for many people.

Great Weekend

This secluded little property is simply AMAZING. Looks just like the pictures and is sooooo peaceful. Property owners are awesome and very responsive. The wild life in the morning is so beautiful, saw a group of dear near by and some rabbits. About a 15 min drive to town. If you looking just to get away this is your SPOT!!

Phenomenal!

The photos are NOT photoshopped. Wonderful accommodations. We enjoyed watching the wildlife in front of the property and enjoying the serenity. This is the perfect place to put down your phones and enjoy reading one of the many books, playing games with your other guests or cooking in the gourmet kitchen. If I'm ever back in the area, this is where I want to be!

Very nice place with plenty of room inside. Secure with gates. Just note if you have boats and trailers the drive coming in is a little treacherous to get around the big rocks on the last 120 degree turn. Especially in the dark. Also keep an eye out for a big tree you have to get around half way down the drive. If you have tall talons, you might have to lower them to get under the trees. Also, Bring your own towels. Other than those items, we had a terrific stay.

Perfect Retreat

This was a fabulous spot to stay while still being close to all the Temple/Belton area has to offer. The home was just as pictured. The outdoor games and fire pit were a great little treat! Thank you for providing a safe, quiet space for us!

Better than the photos

In these days of photo shopping and photo filters pictures can be misleading!! The photos on this listing although good have nothing on seeing this place real time!! Amazing inside and out. It is gated and secluded and the decor is so homey and comfortable. I have already recommended this stay to my friends

Super place to get away - close to lakes and parks

My husband was blown away with the quality of wood work and iron work done at this property. The Loft is a fantastic place to stay with your kids to get away and enjoy nature. We will be booking another stay at The Loft.

Fantastic Find!!

Beautifully done farmhouse for our staycation at Belton Lake! This luxurious property had everything we needed for our Family Reunion! We can’t believe we found such a wonderful little place soo close to Turkey Roost campsite. We will definitely come back! The Shelton’s!!!

The Loft Getaway

We loved the location and being able to explore the property and see some beautiful deer. It was close enough to town if we needed something yet far enough to feel like we were in the countryside.

Perfect Get Away

The description did not do this property justice. The Loft provided adorable views of the accommodations and surrounding property...they thought of everything! It was the perfect get-away for a girls' weekend. The owners were quick to respond to all correspondence and were so helpful throughout the process. (from answering questions before the reservations to helping during the stay to provisions when checking out.) Details about expectations were clear. We were comfortable and safe. I highly recommend this location, and plan on staying there again!

Great experience! Very relaxing.

The process was smooth and easy, there were plenty of sleeping accommodations, and the place was as cool as it looked online. The outdoor games were a nice touch and our walk to the lake was very peaceful. We want to come back.

Great getaway

This was a GREAT getaway from Austin. After weeks in quarantine, I was ready to give my family and I a break. The property was beautifully furnished. It had a rustic vibe but all the amenities were first class and new, and many were made onsite (the host family does woodworking). The decor was just gorgeous and well thought out. My 3 young kids were so excited about the kids' room with the built in bunk beds, they said it felt like summer camp. :) Again, the details were impressive (curtains by every bed so that everyone had privacy, amazingly comfortable pillows/bedding etc.). The property is amazing too - it is set back from the road and gated, so it was great to be able to just open the door and tell my kids to go run around. They saw deer and even a roadrunner when they went on "hikes" and made some great memories trying to catch lightning bugs! We also enjoyed the fire pit and the homemade games (cornhole, Connect 4, blocks, see-saw) that were available to us. There are several parks in the area, but we stuck with the same one (Temple Lake) because it ended up being so perfect for kids - not crowded, large beach (bring water shoes), and shallow. The host is an extremely friendly and attentive family. They even went out of their way to loan me a charger when I realized i forgot mine. The only thing I'd say is that if you're travelling with very small kids, the staircase is pretty steep and there is some delicate furniture, so you'll have to be vigilant about keeping them away from those. This place is a jewel and it might become our family's summer tradition :)

Very serene location

House is in excellent location, tucked away in woods with plenty of birds, deer, etc. Neat home with all of the needed essentials. Kids loved the bunk room. Would definitely stay here again! :)

Need To Get Away

After 43 days of quarantine and bedrest my family and I just needed to get away. The Loft is very open and our children loved their sleeping room with the built in bunk beds. It's hard finding homes that can accommodate a family of eight, hotels are out of the question, so it was nice stumbling across this property. Home is set back and cannot be viewed from the road. Owners are on the property should you need anything. It was well stocked with basic seasonings, pots, pans, sugar and coffee, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, and conditioner for a two day supply (we've stayed at some properties with none of that). Master bedroom doesn't have any windows which makes sleeping in easy. There's a nice table on the porch to eat outside, a lil smokey bbq pit, and a fire pit just outside the front door. The owner keeps the firewood well stocked, we didn't have to gather our own. There are three access points just up the road we found to the lake. Our favorite was Leona park, they had wild dew berries growing and the little kids enjoyed picking them while the big kids dropped a line in the lake.

A few years ago, Mark and Tricia Richner, along with Tricia's parents Charles and Lynn Rush, decided to build a small office in their workshop. They had a love of woodworking and other crafts that required a simple space to work in. But what started as a practical idea transformed into something more.

Soon, the family workspace developed into a 2,400-square-foot, two-story craft space with new possibilities. Mark and Charles focused on constructing a space worth crafting in, and Tricia and Lynn hunkered down with projects and decor ideas they found online. Now, The Loft at R&R Ranch serves as a retreat center and event venue in Temple, TX that welcomes people for special events and other various activities.
