Ski-in/Ski-out, Penthouse Unit w/ Awesome Views, Walk to Village!

This unit is located in Mountain Lodge, and is one of only 6 St. Moritz units in the building, which means that it is 1000+ sq. ft. (approx. 240 sq. ft. larger than a standard 2-bedroom) and has a wood-burning fireplace. This one is a top floor, corner unit with panoramic views of the ski lift, ski slope, and the beautiful mountain lake. Pictures don't do it justice. You can watch your family get off the lift and wave down to them as they ski by! If you want a great place to make some lifelong family memories, this is it!

Mountain Lodge is one of the older buildings in Village Central, and as it was here first, it arguably occupies the best spot on the mountain. You would be hard-pressed to find another building in the village with better views, or that is more ski-in, ski-out than this one. It is adjacent to the Ballhooter lift, has easy access to a beginner slope, or you can ski down on a green or blue run. For the utmost in convenience, there are ski/bike lockers you can rent just inside the exit to the slopes. Mountain Lodge has it's own private parking lot (rare on the mountaintop), which is free to Mountain Lodge guests. It is walking distance to the Village shops (including ski rentals), several restaurants, and Split Rock Pools with heated pool, hot tub, and sauna (additional charges apply). During prime ski season, there is even a restaurant in the basement of the building, so on those really cold nights, you can go out to eat without even going outside!

Mountain Lodge features a comfortable lobby (currently undergoing remodeling) with a large fireplace and overlook seating areas with breathtaking views of the mountain. Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided in the building, as well as in the unit. There is a coin-operated laundromat on each floor. There is an indoor children's play area with playground equipment, a gym, and an indoor glice skating rink. Mountain Lodge is also one of the few buildings at the resort with a 24-hour desk clerk and on-site maintenance in the unlikely event anything should go wrong. Please note that while temps on the mountain are usually cool year round, Mountain Lodge is not equipped with A/C, so if you are considering a stay in the middle of summer, you may want to take this into consideration.

Annual ski trip

My friends and I go on a ski trip every year and this was the perfect location! We loved the ski in ski out location and it was plenty of space for 6 people. We definitely would stay again!

Spacious condo

Great location plus a spacious condo, we will definitely want to stay here again. The condo is located beside the workout room so if you are a light sleeper, this could be a problem for you.

Amazing place at Mtn Lodge

We loved this spot at Mountain Lodge! The view and coziness was perfect for an early Christmas with family. The rooms are sizeable compared to other units.

Amazing location

The location is the best. Right on the corner and with a beautiful view. Everything was top notch with Brenda, quick response and everything was as described. The staff at check-in was not so service-minded, but that was fine and the only thing that slowed things down a bit.

Great Unit with Amazing Location

Loved our visit here. Logistics were easy - we had some scheduling issues that Brenda was a terrific help with.Check-in was smooth. Location is a 5 minute walk from the Village and Split Rock pool. Very convenient.Mountain Lodge is old for sure. Think 80s ski lodge. But our unit was spotless when we arrived, with a great kitchen, and a nice layout. Very comfortable (beds were nice). And of course, you are overlooking the slopes and Ballhooter lift. Wonderful for the non-skiers. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean, wonderful view, and just what we wanted!

The condo owners are so helpful and responsive. The room was very clean upon arrival and had all the home necessities we needed. We had plenty of room and the whole family enjoyed the slope view. We will definitely be return guests as this condo met all our needs and the owners are great to work with throughout the rental process! Thank you for sharing your condo with us!

We’ve been to this property several times, the views are beautiful with great access to the slopes. It’s the perfect size for our family. Brenda is great to work with and has great communication Would love to see the kitchen cookware upgraded with more casserole type dishes for cooking. It’s was a great time with family and games were available for the rain days. Thanks again.

Great location & view

Glows - Can't beat the ski out location and convenient gear lockers. Amazing penthouse view of the slopes and mountains. Loved the cozy wood-burning fireplace and spacious enough for our family of 4. Parking onsite was a huge plus for this busy resort area. Lodge staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the game areas and breakfast and dinner onsite. Grows - could use a new pots and pans set, primary bath drain clogs and fills with water during shower, need to restock fireplace kindling supplies, balcony snow shoveled for better access of views.

GREAT Views!!! Highly Recommend!

Our family of 4 rented this condo with another couple, so there were 6 of us all together. We LOVED it! We had plenty of room and found the place to be clean and comfortable, and nicely furnished. The ski-in ski-out location was so convenient. We took the owner's advice and rented a ski locker just inside the back door for $10 a day. All of our equipment fit in it, so we didn't have to haul stuff back and forth to the condo. We really enjoyed staying here and will definitely be back!

What a view!

We wanted a place where my son could ski and we, the parents, could still enjoy the action. This was perfect! Close to the village, for resteraunts, shopping and shuttle service. The slope views were amazing, we enjoyed the snow cats, skiers and snowmobiles going by. Mountain Lodge is older, but the outside is being revamped. Family friendly. Staff was very nice. Condo was as advertised and clean.

Best in Mountain Lodge

We loved our stay in this unit. We’ve stayed in Mountain Lodge and other condos at Snowshoe before. This unit is the most spacious in ML and larger than most condos in the Village. It’s super convenient to the slopes, ski school and the Village. Brenda was fabulous to work with, allowing us to stay an extra night when we got 19” of snow overnight and were worried about driving down the mountain. We got over 60” of snow in the 5 days we were there in March! A fantastic place to be snowed in for sure!!!

Unbelievable view!

This condo fit our needs perfectly! The view is gorgeous and we loved watching the skiers on the slopes while we took a break to warm up. The locker was big enough for gear for a family of 5 and the ski out location was perfect. The condo was extremely clean and my teens loved the wood burning fireplace. Having a full kitchen during COVID was so important. Most restaurants had 2+ hour waits and some nights weren’t accepting takeout orders. If we hadn’t taken food and had a kitchen I don’t know what we would have eaten. The condo was extremely clean and the owner responds very quickly to any questions or issues. Highly recommend this condo!

Could be better but great location

The property was not properly cleaned. Carpet was dirty. Dishes were left in dishwasher. I wanted a break from the daily life responsibilities I always handle. There unit has large bedrooms, but a tiny kitchen. Desperately needs a remodel! Using the old oven, the handle outside the oven gets too hot too touch; not safe. Location is great, with excellent views off mountain. However, friends stayed in soaring eagle and both units were hands down nicer and updated.

Great property and wonderful owner

My family and I stayed here for a weekend and could not have been more pleased. The property was well-appointed and incredibly convenient, just off the Ballhooter lift, and the unit had an amazing view looking right out over the slopes. My son and daughter accidentally left some items in the unit, so I contacted the owner about them when we realized it a few days after we left. She got back to me immediately, then reached out to housekeeping to see if they had retrieved the items. Fortunately they had, and the owner went out of her way to coordinate our recovery of them. She even followed up after putting me in touch with housekeeping to make sure the items had been sent. We are so grateful for her kindness and diligence (my daughter says "Thank you very much!"). Will definitely try to stay here again.

Wonderful View and Location

The penthouse condo was very spacious. The location was perfect. It is a corner condo furthest from the end of the lodge that has foot traffic and activity. The bedrooms are on the front side of the condo near the halls and three story lobby area so voices and foot traffic are unavoidable. There is a fan in the condo that drowns the noise. It worked perfectly. The fireplace was great. Bring kindling or fire starter blocks with you as there isn't any in the condo. There is plenty of firewood right outside the condo. The thermostats were a little difficult to figure out. There were at least 2 for the main living space and then one for each room for the base board heating. The beds were comfortable and clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Don’t over pay for this unit! This unit has a top notch view, but that’s all it has going for it. The unit is very dated, the full kitchen was stocked with random pieces needed for cooking. Does have a new Keurig, so that’s a plus. The ceiling fans and furniture was full of dust, carpeting everywhere except the bathroom and kitchen area…gross! The beds were very uncomfortable. Both of the bathroom showers didn’t drain and black gunk backed up in the smaller bathroom. Molding coming from the wall & fireplace hearth has broken pieces, so if you have little ones don’t let them over there.

We are an active family of 4 who have enjoyed skiing, snowboarding, and hiking here for many years. Our 2 children learned to ski here when they were about 3 years old. They are now adults, our daughter recently got married, and we are hoping that we will have grandchildren in a few years who will also enjoy coming here! ;)

We chose to buy in Mountain Lodge due to it's location on the mountain and proximity to the village. We originally bought a 1-bedroom unit on the mountain side, and later sold it when a St. Moritz became available. There are only 6 of these units in the building, and there was a waiting list for them, so we felt very fortunate to be able to get this one.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

What we love about this unit in particular is it's location. It is on the top floor corner overlooking the lift, the slopes, and the mountain lake. It is close enough to the elevator to be convenient, but far enough way that noise isn't an issue. It is in a different part of the building than the playground and arcade areas, so no problem with the noise there. Also, since it is on the top floor, there is a lot less noise from people walking by in their ski boots.
