Accommodates up to 8. Charming timber cottage with private pretty outlook. This charming two bedroom timber cottage sleeps eight people comfortably. The property has distant mountain and bush views from the viewing balcony. Slow combustion heating, bath and cottage furnishings help to make your stay in the mountains a comfortable and pleasant one. Just a short stroll to the village and a million miles from care. There is no laundry facilities. Sunnyside House can be booked with Sunnyside Cottage to sleep 14 people in total, the house sleeping six people and the cottage 8 people. Both properties situated on the same block with shared parking.

Good - but far from village

Property was fine but needs a bit of a modernisation . Too far to walk to village . No real views of valley as it’s side on to valley .

The cottage was a lovely place to stay and we were happy there.Unfortunately there were a few small things that we suggest should be fixed.Firstly the photo of the property was not of the cottage which we booked, but of the house on the same property. When I was searching for a property, one of the things that ticked a box for me was the verandah with comfortable chairs, indicated on the photo of the house. The cottage had a verandah but without the comfortable chairs. I found the advertised picture on the website to be deceptive and unhelpful.A few other small things:- the kitchen garbage bin pedal doesn't work and the lid falls off;- the handle on the frypan is very loose and not safe; my husband tightened it at the start of our stay but a couple of days later it was very loose again;- the large fan heater in the bedroom at the back of the cottage showed some sparks at times so it needs to be tested professionally or replaced;- the shower door doesn't close properly and therefore water sprays onto the floor.Please don't take these points as criticism just suggestions to make the property more comfortable and safe for future holiday makers.On the other side of things the heating was good (although the slow combustion fire wasn't effective at all).The bed was comfortable and the electric blankets were wonderful.Thank you.

Jenny thank you so much for your feedback we really value our guests feedback as it allows us to improve things at the properties. With regards to the photo you have mentioned i have been into stays and also our channel manager and all the photos on there are of the cottage the only thing i can think of is that you saw the old photo of the lounge room furniture which has been updated to newer lounges and no longer the cane lounges but that is not outdoor that is inside in the lounge room. So hopefully that clears that up for you and I'm so glad that we didn't have any incorrect photos of the outdoor areas on display. I will be purchasing a new rubbish bin and fry pan for the kitchen this week, and a new heater for the bedroom we really do appreciate you bringing these things to our attention. Once again, thank you for your feedback.

Basic but all you need

This cottage was basic but all you need. Plenty of beds, house was clean, loads of plates and cups in kitchen. Only complaint was the back of the chairs kept falling off. Only 5 pieces of wood given for two nights this was not enough. Overall happy to stay here again

Disappointing

Cobwebs in light fittings, corners, inside of glass doors; ash and dust had to be cleaned from inside side of glass doors; big mosquito problem (bring plug-ins!! we killed >50 on first night!); smelt very musty, no Wi-Fi, dining chairs collapse, oven didn't work, 1 wine glass provided for "sleeps 8", bedrooms being used as storage area (large moving boxes stored in 1 bedroom and cupboards all padlocked). Upsides were good heating and comfy beds, but overall condition disappointing. Real estate were responsive.

Fiona thank you so much for your feedback wifi has now been connected to the property cleaners have been booked in for spring cleaning the oven has now been fixed and some more wine glasses have been purchased once again without feeback things can not be attended too so we do appreciate it

Sadly exhausted

Sadly expectations were not met. The property requires an overhaul to bring it back to basics. All amenities were available but sadly very dirty. Cobwebs, stains, mould across cushions and couches. Random furniture taking up corners of house - place used for storage. Stain on sheets, curtain rod fell down when trying to close. Balcony off kitchen / dining unusable. Heating not great, wood fire primary source of heating but does not work 100%. Property managers addressed issues as best they could so can not fault their response and action but for what you pay this should not be what you receive. I would not recommend this property until it is refreshed and cleaned out.

Great location and aspect. Cottage is on the same property as a house so privacy could be an issue.

The actual cottage was great, had everything we needed. The spa is a nice feature after a big day out exploring and the veranda and views are pleasant. Plenty of room for a family of five.
