The Hideout at Bear Lake is an enchanting mix of mountain Luxury and outdoor adventure.. With beautiful views and space for 34 guests it doesn't get any better than the Hideout. Guests can enjoy hiking, ATV and snowmobile trails right from the front door. Located in Shundahai and set on an amazing 1 acre immaculately landscaped lot , guests at the Hideout can enjoy ATV, snowmobile and hiking trails directly from the cabin. A spacious driveway, which offers parking for all our guests. The Hideout is only 10 minutes from Beaver Mountain Ski resort and 5 minutes from Bear Lake. Which makes it perfect for year round use.

The Hideout has has been designed for large groups (28 people in beds) plus a large grass yard perfect for setting up tents or sleeping under the stars!--We are set up for large family reunions or company retreats with room to be together but space to enjoy privacy. The loft area has a games table and ping pong which provides fun for all ages. Downstairs has a large 65" TV with Bose Surround Sound perfect for watching movies or your favorite sports team. The Hideout has a kids room with built in Bunks their own TV and DVD player. The Backyard offers the best views Bear Lake has to offer with a fire pit and kids custom play area. .

The pictures don't do it justice, so beautiful, inside and out!

The place was perfect for our family reunion. Plenty of space, fantastic and well-stocked kitchen (best we've ever seen), lots of seating, rooms to gather and rooms to be alone, and the views are simply stunning. We agreed we'd love to come back. The host never did tell us how to access Legacy Beach, so I'm not sure that's still an amenity, but we didn't need it since we kept ourselves entertained at the house. We didn't love the early check out for such a large group, but we made it with only a few grumbles! If you're looking for a quiet, comfy, beautiful place for a large group, our family would recommend The Hideout!

The Hideout

We had a great stay at The Hideout. There was plenty of room for our large family. The beds were comfortable, lots of extra bedding and kitchen supplies. The view was incredible!

Wonderful stay!

Beautiful home set up perfectly for our family reunion. The kids had a blast playing ping pong and playing on the outdoor climbing structure . Beautiful views! We even saw a moose in the woods. Loved our stay!

Wonderful Getaway

The house was just as expected. Beautiful view of the lake in a great secluded location. Plenty of parking for our family and we appreciated the fully stocked kitchen. Also plenty of extra blankets and pillows. We will definitely be back!

We brought 33 family members to stay at this property and there was room for everyone. We loved the spacious kitchen, lots of room to spread out and amazing view. Easy access to Garden City and Bear Lake.

Nice cabin

This is our second time staying at this cabin. We love the view and area, access to legacy beach. It was a good size for our extended family vacation. Cleanliness was not quite as good this time as the time before. Overall we had a great time and this cabin was a great place to stay. šŸ˜Š

Just a few minutes to Bear Lake but still up in the hills so you have a cabin feel. Plenty of parking (I brought my side by side, my brother brought his wave runner and my other brother brought his boat). Plenty of room.

Perfect for a family reunion!

We loved this place! With 3 levels inside and 2 outside it never felt as crowded as it was. They had plenty of furniture (tables, chairs, etc.) and supplies (dishes, blankets, towels) for a large group. It was wonderful to be in the peaceful quiet of the mountains while also having easy access to the pool and lake. We would definitely recommend!

Great place for a big family!

We spent a week at this house. There was plenty of room, we never felt like we were on top of each other. The kitchen was well stocked. Lots of parking and it was nice to use the garage. We saw a lot of animals (deer, moose, wild turkeys and such. Beautiful view. The only negative was that we couldnā€™t get into the pool and other amenities, we needed a little more information on that. See you next year!

Family Reunion

Great location to hold a large family gathering. The number of bedrooms (9) and bathrooms (6) are unique, and made it especially comfortable and uncongested. The owner and property manager were both great, and the home was clean and well-equipped. It's about 5 - 10 minutes to Garden City and the beach, but the views up on the mountain side are really beautiful and relaxing. The Legacy club connection was really a plus.

A Bit of Heaven!

We had 10 adults and 15 children and teens age 4-18. It couldn't have been a better place for our family reunion! Beds enough for everyone and a beautiful amazingly well stocked kitchen. It is in a picturesque location overlooking Bear Lake and a gorgeous view of the mountains. It is minutes to shops and Bridgerland Adventure Center. This would be our first choice when coming back to Bear Lake. Highly recommend it!

Beautiful house with all the amenities

This house has plenty of room for everyone to spread out and be comfortable. The kitchen was big and the deck and views were incredible. It was private yet convenient to town. Loved the yard and amenities. The only recommendation weā€™d give the owners is to replace the twin mattresses because we had adults sleeping on them and they could feel the springs in their backs! Weā€™ll definitely be coming back though!

The disappointments: Reached out a week prior to plan the pool and private beach activities only to be told that the beach amenities were ā€œshutdown for the summer.ā€ It is annoying that we had to reach out for that information and were not notified as soon as owners knew. Only cryptic details were given & we had to scramble to make alternative plans. The main selling point of the house was said pool/private beach accessā€¦be aware that it is NOT available but is still in current listing. We made the most of it, but the bottom line is that we did not receive amenities we had paid for and have yet to get a decent explanation or any concession for the false advertising and lack of prior communication. There was garbage we had to remove, dishes to put away, and crud in the dishwasher we cleaned and fixed. We also had to clean the grill. The WiFi went out mid-stay but it seemed like an equipment issue and not something the owners could have prevented so no big deal. It forced us to get out so it was okay. The good: Plenty of space and beds for our group of 26 other than the limited dining space but we were able to make it work. The kitchen had everything we needed but needs a refresh on the organization.The outstanding: the view is second to none. The weather was great and we ultimately made the most of the downers and had a good reunion. All that being said, we will book a different house next time. 3 stars due to unmet expectations and no real explanations.
