LAKE LURE WILL NOT BE OPEN FOR RECREATIONAL BOATING, FISHING, OR SWIMMING IN THE 2025 SEASON. Although the lake is closed and lowered while Hurricane Helene cleanup continues, there is much that our beautiful foothills area has to offer. LAKE ADGER, LAKE LANIER, SHUMONT LAKE, and MIRROR LAKE suffered no damage, so homes and those lakes are available. BALD MOUNTAIN LAKE in the resort is open and beautiful. We are welcoming guests in over 60 beautiful homes to use as a "home base" for visiting nearby towns, restaurants, shops, hiking areas, and seasonal special events in Lake Lure, Hendersonville, Asheville, Black Mountain, Saluda, and Tryon. Golf is open to the public at Rumbling Bald, and local area wineries, breweries, trails, and music are within an hour's drive. Many of the Chimney Rock shops are set up at the Tryon International Equestrian Center Pavilion. Chimney Rock Park is now open!

Lazy Bear Lodge is a spacious, family-friendly log home with three bedrooms, three full baths, and a large open-concept kitchen, dining, and living room with a gas fireplace and vaulted ceiling. All bedrooms are large and have new king-size beds for comfort. The lower level has a second den area, third full bathroom, laundry room, open playroom with pool table, card table and chairs, games, etc. The main living area is on the first floor. It has a full kitchen with modern appliances (double oven, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker) and a full complement of pots, plates, cutlery, and silverware. The dining table has seating for 10, and the kitchen bar has seating for four (If additional seats are needed, there is a card table with four chairs in the basement in the closet under the stairs).

Bonus Loft Area:
In addition to the three bedrooms pictured, there is an open loft area up the spiral staircase in the main living area that could serve as additional sleeping space; there are two queen-size beds or as a fun play area for kids (***Note to parents: the spiral staircase and loft are dangerous for small children. Please be aware that these areas may need to be blocked off or monitored closely. A standard gate does not fit***). A desk in the loft can be used as a good workspace.

Game Room in Finished Walkout Lower Level:
The lower level offers a large space for families or groups to gather to play pool, cards, or board games (Connect Four, chess/checkers/backgammon, Guess Who, Clue, and some others provided in the hutch off the kitchen by the front door). The space also includes the second dining area, third full bathroom, laundry, and access to the garages and driveway. Finally, in the closet under the stairs are several inner tubes/floats/boogie boards that guests can take to the pool.

Garage Access:
While a garage remote cannot be provided, as owners only have one. Guests are welcome to use the two one-car garages to park their cars out of the elements, but the garage doors will need to be opened/closed using the control pad by the garage entrance, and enter/exit through the back door.

You will not even have to leave the resort! The Lake Lure/Chimney Rock area and surrounding communities offer additional activities if you do. See the Amenities and Notes for more information. With all this home offers, you and your family and/or friends will surely enjoy your stay at Rock Spring Cabin. This home is 10.5 miles to the Beach at Lake Lure, 11.5 miles to Chimney Rock State Park, and 20.3 miles to the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC).

While there are private spaces, the home also offers spaces to gather. The loft above the main living area is a great camp spot for kids. A deck spans the entire back of the home for relaxing and wildlife watching. The kitchen is perfect for gathering, with lots of solid surface counter space and custom cabinetry. The dining table seats 10, and there is additional seating at the kitchen counter. Get your family and friends cooking together in the gourmet kitchen, or go out on the patio and grill under the stars.

This home is perfect for every season! Spring brings the blooms of dogwood trees and mountain laurel. Visit in the summer when the weather is perfect, nearly all the time. The stunning array of colors in autumn is legendary. With the absence of leaves on the trees, winter offers broader views.
