This remodeled cabin offers privacy, comfort and convenience. If you need to work, we have high-speed cable wifi internet service. Mountain bike, hike, fish, kayak and explore the mountains of Western North Carolina. Just ten minutes from DuPont State Forest and twelve minutes from Pisgah National Forest in Transylvania County, near Brevard. Serenade Cove is nestled among tall white pines with beautiful year-round views of Fodderstack Mountain. There are three boating put-in locations for the French Broad River nearby. If you want to stay close to the house, the surrounding 22-acre property has walking trails and a small pond which provide a peaceful place to spend time within steps of your front door. The large covered deck offers ample room for entertainment and grilling. Relax with family and friends in the open living area with a gas fireplace, Smart TV (Amazon Firestick and BluRay player), wireless cable Internet and a Bluetooth speaker for your music. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the supplies you will need. Enjoy meals in the adjacent dining area. Both areas have great natural light. The primary bedroom is located downstairs and features a queen size canopy bed with a Tempurpedic mattress and flat screen TV with Amazon Firestick. The guest room is also located downstairs and features a queen size antique bed with a gel/memory foam mattress and an antique armoire. Upstairs, the loft area has two twin beds and a private half bath. The washer and dryer are located in a closet on the main level. There is a separate storage building with a lock to store your gear. Wonderful Stay

What a great property! Inside was clean with an incredible view. Equipped with everyrhing we needed in the kitchen. Well stocked with little extras. Outside is absolutely beautiful and private. Great for dogs! We hope to stay again soon.

Cabin Christmas

Great little cabin near the small town of Etowah, NC. The cabin had everything needed for our stay, including a bottle of wine. We visited Biltmore and the town of Brevard while there. Asheville is about an hour drive while Brevard is a short trip. We ate at the Salty Landing in Etowah, which was very good. Lots of outdoor activities close by. Overall a great stay and would recommend.

We have stayed in many rentals over the years and this one was #1. This home was fully equipped with absolutely everything needed. So clean and beyond precious. The grounds beautiful, location perfect. Just a few short minutes to town and centrally located to everywhere we wanted to go! Host was so attentive. Perfection all the way!!

2 week getaway

What a beautiful cottage with a beautiful view. I came down with my family for 2 weeks to get some peace and quiet and to relax. Wow this place was top notch. Colleen was amazing and the bottle of wine was a much needed extra piece of heaven. We enjoyed sitting on the spacious porch every morning and night. From watching the squirrels and the woodpeckers to just enjoying the fresh air was definitely what was needed. The house had everything you needed and felt like home. We will most definitely be back! 😊 5 stars ✨

Great stay

Stayed here for about a week with my husband and dog and had a wonderful time. Cabin was spotless, in a great location, and had a lovely porch. Check-in was easy and communication was a breeze. Will be back if we stay in the area again!

Another Tranquil Visit

This was our second time staying at Serenade Cove. What a wonderful place to relax and play (and work remote if you need to)! It’s a short drive to Pisgah National Forest and DuPont State Forest — both with great opportunities to swim, hike, fish, and see beautiful waterfalls. The cabin is also in a good location to take advantage of relatively short 10-15 minute drives to restaurants & breweries in Brevard, Hendersonville, and Mills River (and a number of much closer options 5min away in Etowah. And it’s tough to beat a morning coffee and evening nightcap on the covered porch looking out across the valley to bookend the day! What a comfortable and special place.

Amazing Stay at Serenade Cove

Photos are representative, but hard to do views and property justice. We loved our stay at Serenade Cove. Wonderful views, privacy, and great property. Very close to Pigsah and many other outdoor activities and attractions as well as Brevard, Hendersonville, and far enough, but not too far from Asheville (we prefer the hills/mountains). Very convenient to Etowah and some good local eats - don't miss out on the taco truck! Very fresh good food there. Cabin was perfect size for two of us, our dog, as well as some family visiting. We enjoyed just being at the cabin for relaxing and taking in the views and peaceful setting. One of our favorite overall VRBO's yet. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Views

This property is phenomenal. I stayed for a week with my pup and we had an amazing time. It is so CLEAN! Hands down the cleanest rental I’ve stayed in. It also had a very pleasant and clean smell upon entrance. The view is what I was going for and I got it! I loved sitting out on the rocking chair with my dog listening to nature and breathing in the fresh air. There’s a cute little trail right behind the property that my dog appreciated very much. You cannot beat the proximity to Pigsah NF and DuPont SP. We hiked to many of the waterfalls and others just drove right to. Asheville isn’t too far either. This is a great area overall for vacationing with a dog. If you are like me and stay places based on the view, this is it. Look no further!

Great Loacation, Beautiful little house

We had a great at Seranade Cove. Everything was exactly as advertised. Great view. Close to everything you want to visit in NC. Towns, hikes, and shopping. Would not hesitate to visit again. My only recommendation to the owner would be to put up blinds in the living room to block out the afternoon sunset.

Gorgeous view

All the conveniences of home and perched high to afford a lovely view off of a wonderful deck. This was our second stay here and we love the location. Easy access to Pisgah and Dupont and amenities in nearby Etowah. Also Brevard is an easy drive as well. We will be back. Colleen is a helpful and thoughtful host.

We relocated to the mountains of western North Carolina in 2004 and bought the cabin and 6+ acres in 2006. It had been a long-time summer getaway for a family and was sorely in need of a makeover! We were able to refinish and keep the original pine floors but the entire home was gutted and remodeled. The layout was completely redesigned to allow for a comfortable, open floor plan and windows were added for more natural light. When the 15+ acres behind the property became available, we purchased it and opened up some old hiking trails that were overgrown. We purchased the 5+ acres with the pond below the cabin and built another larger vacation rental which is now available to rent: VRBO # 1551501.

We have been visiting western North Carolina for years to hike and mountain bike. Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest are two of our favorite destinations. We feel fortunate to live in this area now and love sharing it with others.

Serenade Cove offers a hard-to-find combination of privacy and convenience. It is truly a cabin in the woods, and you feel like you are miles away from civilization, but you can grab some groceries or a pizza 5 minutes away in the small town of Etowah. You are also only 15-20 minutes from Hendersonville or Brevard, and 20 minutes from Sierra Nevada's east coast brewery, which we call Malt Disney World! Recent updates include new central heating & air, a newly paved driveway, a freshly painted interior, a whole-house water filtration system and a comfort-height toilet in the main level bath.
