Great host and home directly Lake Sheila offering an optimal view of the lake. This was our second stay at this home as the view of the lake from the patio, living room, and backyard/dock is amazing. The home is most comfortable and warm in the winter. The host is most helpful and responsive. I hope to return again next year.

This is a hidden gem with the best view of Lake Sheila possible. Very much recommended and the house is larger than expected.

A slice of paradise

Our vacation in Saluda was peaceful with amazing views of the lake. We had all the comforts of home while enjoying nature. We loved kayaking, fishing, exercising on the dock and relaxing on the screened in porch.

Fabulous getaway

Wonderful lakeside house. The screened in porch overlooking the lake is a delight. Lake views from the living room and kitchen as well. Andrew is a great host. Highly recommend!!!!

A Quiet Get-away!

Such a nice cabin - clean, spacious, well organized and comfy. The kitchen was well outfitted and fit our needs perfectly as we cook our own meals when we travel. Super solid internet too! And ample parking space for 3 vehicles was great. We'll be back next year.

Great experience-

This was such a great property I wish I could keep it a secret. The beds are comfortable and the screened porch is perfect for all times of the day. The lake was clear and nice to float on. We were close to several good restaurants. We hope to rent again!

Fabulous - wish we could have stayed longer!

We throughly enjoyed our time at this property. The cleanliness superb, the beds were great and chairs down at the dock had us enjoying the late afternoons while our group kayaked, fished, swam or just relaxed as we chatted with the fabulous lake friends we made. We learned alot about what to see from those evening on the water from the locals. We look forward to coming back and appreciate all the owners have done to make it such a fabulous vacation spot.

Cabin in the woods

Unit was nice. Had a great view of the lake from the enclosed back porch. Beds were comfortable and the two bathrooms were adequate. As noted roads in the area were very windy but scenic. Overall definitely would recommend.

Beautiful spot on Lake Sheila

Very comfortable cabin with the best views of the lake. The screened in porch was the amazing for morning yoga and just relaxing any time of day. We enjoyed using the boats to paddle across the lake to visit friends. The cabin had everything we needed and the owner was easy to communicate with and prompt to reply to our questions. The location is great, an easy, pretty drive to Saluda for shopping and dining if you want to leave the lake!

Loved the Lake

We enjoyed the king beds, the ability to bring our dog, and the proximity to a variety of places to sightsee. The lake was fascinating to view the changes over the course of our stay. Walking around the lake was a daily activity. Our only disappointment was the s-l-o-w internet. We are looking forward a return visit next fall!

Mountain house on private lake

The mountain house was in a great location to Saluda. I would definitely get groceries in Flat Rock before your stay. The only place close by is Doller General in Saluda which is overpriced. There are some updates the homeowner needs to make before the summer season which I notified them. Zero internet, so I would bring a dvd player with movies and radio for nightly entertainment.

Perfect, peaceful restful getaway!

This property gave us the best of both worlds offering peaceful lake front living and screen porch views with kayaks on site for a bit of fun, while being convenient for day trips to other areas for more events like dining, shopping, ziplining and snowboarding, gem mining, dining out and so much more. We did both with some daytime excursions and evening family games on site. We enjoyed every minute at the house with great spaces to be together or to have privacy. The cabin is well appointed and the owners very responsive. Thank you from my family to yours!

Weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our stay the Lake Sheila house . Communication was great with the host. Check in and out was easy ! Enjoyed fishing (caught 2 fish), MTN biking at Rock Creek, hiking/biking to Bridal Veil falls, fire with s'mores by the lake ! Even a chilly kayak on the last day . Had all the amenities of home . Thanks again for a wonderful stay !! We already have talked about coming back when the weather gets nicer ! Thanks again for some enjoyable and memorable family time !

Tranquility Base

We had never known about Lake Sheila (we live in Greenville, SC) until coming up this past weekend. First off the surroundings at fall were gorgeous. Peaceful, quiet, just what we needed. Second, the house was an absolute gem. Clean, beautiful furniture, it had everything we would ever need. If we were not sitting at the dock, we sat for hours in the screened in porch, even slept out there one night. In a note to the owner, I wrote "wow, just wow."
