Biking and hiking trips can be taken via pathways to the various hills and the Via Francigena. Organised mountain and sea tours can also be arranged.

Nocchi is an old village on the Via Francigena, near Lucca. It was considered the holiday location for the Lucchese Aristrocracy. It is 3 kms away from the lively historical centre of Camaiore where many country fairs and theatre events take place during the year. There are many restaurants, bars, supermarkets and pharmacies. Daily excursions on foot or bicycle can be organised in the mountains and by the sea. Places within easy reach are Forte dei Marmi (15 kms away) offering great walks along the sea shore and shopping trips in the village. Pietrasanta (12 kms away), cultural and art centre with many sculptors visiting from all over the world. Lucca (25 kms away) beautiful medieval city surrounded by its ancient walls. Pisa (20 kms away) with its famous leaning Tower and well known “Piazza dei Miracoli”, theatres and concerts. Continuing towards the Tuscan countryside you can reach the region of Garfagnana, the cities of Barga, Florence, the Chianti region, Siena, San Gimignano and towards Liguria the world renown 5 Terre and Portofino. All these places are within easy reach.
