Everything was better than expected, and we expected it to be amazing! The home is beautiful and clean and historic. The architecture of the home and history of the surrounding area is breathtaking. We had a family of 7 who all had a room and bathroom. The kitchen is a classic Italian rustic experience and the grill a great addition. We used the dining room for a personal chef /sommelier experience and loved it! The views are more beautiful than can be described. We are grateful to have stayed at this stunning home, and the management staff (Loredana) was very professional! The local pizza restaurant (La bambitto) is amazing and in walking distance. Make a reservation! Have a car, as taxi each way to city center of Lucca is expensive and it is necessary to get around. Lucca is great for shopping and eating- be sure to walk the city walls! Take walks in the neighborhood- stunning natural beauty everywhere! Thank you for an amazing stay! Our only recommendation is to replace the main bedroom mattress- we ended up moving 2 twin mattresses to put on top as it is too soft/thin. Small detail that didn’t bother us. We highly recommend this home!

The kitchen was fully equipped although the dish washer was very temperamental to get started. Perhaps the control panel needs some servicing.

We had a fantatic time.The villa and the Service from the local coordinator and the owner was fantastic The ideal Location to explore the Toscana, Lucca, Florence, or the beach.

Beatiful old Tuscan familyhouse on a plot with olive trees and vineyard.

We love the little village and the surroundings of Vorno. The house has a beatiful location and garden. A lovely place to stay with a group of 8-10, to have dinner and enjoy the beaty of Tuscany. The bedroom on the first floor on the front of the house has an uncomfortable matress.

We stayed at this villa for a month and want to share an honest picture for future guests. The villa is very spacious (5 bedrooms/4 baths), and the outdoor areas are beautiful and accurately represented in the photos. We used them frequently and really enjoyed them.The interior, however, was much more rustic and lived-in than the website photos suggested. The photos were carefully staged and enhanced, creating a considerably more polished impression. There were also cobwebs throughout the house, and I found food debris, seeds and a crumpled paper cup beneath a sofa cushion.Management offered to send someone to dust, but repeatedly did not provide a specific arrival time, making it difficult to plan our days. For a month-long stay, there was also no midway cleaning offered. We paid to have towels delivered and four beds changed, but the dirty towels were left behind. A full cleaning was quoted at 400, so we cleaned ourselves.The trash system was very complicated, with five receptacles and different collection days, and the initial orientation focused heavily on it while providing little instruction about the appliances.The AC worked well throughout the house, and we were comfortable despite the heat wave. The beds are very firm but I slept well. There is no dryer.A car is essential, as taxis are scarce.Overall, we enjoyed the beautiful setting and location, but I believe future guests should know that the villa is considerably more rustic than the photographs show

Lovely Villa, Lovely Grounds!

There was much to love about this historic home. The grounds are welcoming and the interior inviting. The charming decor and the picuresque views will highight our memories. Lots of nods to the 1870's, as well as modern amenities. We had artists in our group and there was subject matter aplenty with unlimited viniettes bekoning for them to set up their easels. We were tickled to eat grapes off the vine and gaze out the windows into an olive grove. The owners were lovely and the booking agency was attentive to our needs. We wished there were shower curtains, but that may be an American thing.

Above and beyond

This villa was truly breathtaking! We have rented countless vacation homes and apartments all over the world and this was absolutely the best we have ever stayed in. The villa and its grounds are gorgeous...filled with beautiful furnishings, artwork, antiques, books and more. You truly feel that you entered another time period ( but with modern conveniences like a/c and modern appliances. The grounds are sumptuous and filled with gorgeous trees, flowers, grape arbors and olive trees. There are even goats on the premises! The house was immaculate and extremely comfortable. We were a group of 8 adults and had more than enough room to spread out. You are a short drive to beautiful Lucca and local vineyards and restaurants. This home was beyond our wildest dreams. It was perfection..

Family vacation

Quaint old world Italian Villa. There were 10 of us. Myself and my partner, two daughters and spouses and four grandchildren. The villa was very spacious with three large sitting rooms, five bedrooms and four large bathrooms that accommodated our needs well. The kitchen held a large table and we also had a large dining room. The outdoor space was beautiful with a nice sitting area and a beautiful banquet table that overlooked the Gardens and the mountains. when we had our private chef come to the house we actually ate outside because it was such a pleasant space. The location was perfect for us because we had rented two cars to go into Lucca which was a 20 minute drive. There we also were able to take the train to travel to Florence or other destinations. Pisa was an approximately 35 minute drive from this location. After a busy day of traveling seeing the sites in Italy , it was a peaceful home to return to and relax for the evening.

I highly recommend the Villa

illa Magnolie, in Vorno (outside Lucca) was a beautiful villa. It easily fit all of our guests & the owners were charming and lovely - we met them a few times. Monica from Lucca Apts & Villas was so responsive when we had questions. We loved the location which was about 10 minutes drive from Lucca. There was 1 walkable restaurant, A Bimbotto which was delicious every time we went. We stayed at the villa for a month, during that time we had some issues with wifi but everyone was very attentive in getting it fixed. Being in the hills & having some windy & rainy days, we understood. Since we stayed a month, we cooked many of our meals & enjoyed using the kitchen & gathering therein the dining room. They have an induction cooktop with appropriate cookware. The washing machine worked great & we had enough sunny days to dry clothes on the lineuse towel warmers when rainy! The beds could be more comfortable, but that's Italy. I highly recommend the Villa. I'd return.

An authentic Tuscan holiday

My family and I stayed in Villa Magnolie for a week but we could have stayed much longer because it was a really good experience. Such an old, charming, authentic and magical villa for an Italian holiday. The house is old and everything is kept in an old style, but it works perfectly and contains everything you need. The outdoor areas are nice, charming and quiet with lots of places to chill and eat a meal. We loved the olivetrees and wineyard in the backyard, and enjoyed the many flowers and plants outside which are nicely held. Outside there is almost no noise which we appreciated a lot. Villa Magnolie contains a lot of rooms and bathrooms which we loved because it gave us privacy while still being together. The service and cleaning was perfect, and it was very easy to get in contact with our host. In the livingroom in the groundfloor there is a book/guide which contains inspiration for sightseeing ex. places to visit in Lucca or wineyards to visit. We went to the wineyard Fattoria di Fubbiano and had the best day tasting wine and seeing more of Tuscany. At arrival and departure everything went smooth and our host was the sweetest. We felt safe knowing that our host was only a message away, and loved that we easily could find information in the book and app for Villa Magnolie. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again to this authentic and magical place in Tuscany. We highly recommend it.
