We had a wonderful stay in Casa Meia, it‘s very close to the beach. From the rooftop you have a stunning view at the ocean and the nearby cliff. Our stay was completed with some nice hikes, cycling trips and evenings in the closeby beach bars.

Glorious location just off the best beach in the Algarve

Absolutely delightful stay in every way! The home is well designed for comfort and Madeleine was responsive and lovely to work with! So many places to eat out and grocery shopping within walking distance. We loved this place!! Totally recommend staying here!!

Well-equipped house at a great location

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Meia. It is really close to the beach and has a great roof terrace and a balcony. Also, it is has everything you need for a great stay at Praia da Luz. The owner responded to all our queries really quickly and was very helpful.

Fantastic Property

This property is in a fantastic location everything on the door step if you don't want to drive. The house was spotless and everything you need for a home from home holiday. Attention to detail was a credit to the owners. We will return.

A wonderful place to stay

We've just returned from two excellent weeks at Maddie's house. As previous guests have commented, it is in the perfect location; only a few minutes walk from the facilities of the Luz Bay Hotel in one direction and the beach and restaurants in the other. The house has everything you need for the perfect holiday. The lounge balcony is a great place for breakfast/ lunch and the rooftop terrace was always in full sun and a comfortable place to sunbathe on the loungers provided. We have already recommended it to friends and family and hope ti return again one day.

A Delightful Welcoming Apartment

We had a wonderful 10 days at Casa Meia. The apartment was in a great location, minutes from the beach, restaurants and bars. It was immaculately clean and well maintained. The space was superb, very well equipped and furnished. Maddie and the property agent Mieke were really helpful and communicative. Highly recommended and would love to return.

A perfect location!

We had an amazing 2 week holiday at Casa Meia. The house was perfect in every way possible and Madeleine could not have been more helpful with the booking and any questions we may have had. The property’s location is excellent, very close to the beach, pools and restaurants. This was our first visit to Portugal and we will definitely be returning. The area and weather was fantastic. We had a couple of barbeques on the roof terrace, which is definitely a beautiful feature to the house. We would highly recommend Casa Meia and it’s location, Praia da Luz.

A lovely place to escape to with all the comforts of home

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Maddie's lovely property. It had all the facilities we could have asked for. The roof terrace was gorgeous with its roof garden feel, barbecue, sea views and varied seating. The lounge balcony was great for breakfast the sun and a cooler place to be later I the day. Being 5 min from a gorgeous beach and good restaurants was brilliant. We had access to 3 different hotel pools all of which were really nice. Luz is a great destination and going in June meant it was pretty quiet which was wonderful! We would definitely go back!

Perfect!

A beautiful fully renovated house with the bonus of a gorgeous roof terrace with built in barbecue for cooking and dining outside. Only two minutes walk from the beautiful beach and restaurants at Praia da Luz and a little further to the main supermarkets. Use of the pools at Luz Bay hotel round the corner and the excellent tennis courts proved a hit too! Couldn’t fault it and Maddies communication throughout was immaculate. Would definitely recommend! Couldn't be better !

Just returned from a super week at Casa Meia. The apartment surpassed its description and photos on the web site and Madeline couldn't have been more prompt and helpful with all our enquiries throughout the booking. The apartments location was excellent and was within very easy walking distance of the beach, restaurants and supermarkets. We especially loved the roof terrace and ended up there at the end of every night to enjoy some stunning star gazing ! The apartment had everything we could need and became a home from home very quickly. The best compliment we can leave is that we can't wait to get a chance to go back again !

Great location and explanation of the area. We wouldn't have known about the fantastic fisherman's trail without the visitors book we found at the apartment. Only trip up was finding the actual apartment(bring a photo). To improve experience please provide appliance instructions in English.

Hi Blair, thanks for your review. There are instructions for all appliances in the bottom drawer in the kitchen. I will check to make sure they are in English when we go again in June. If you think it would help I will add a picture of the house to the printed map and instructions that were given to you when you collected the key. My husband and I first stayed at this townhouse in June 2008. It was all that the write-up promised, it was fitted out like home and we could ask for nothing more. It's position is fabulous, close to the beach and within easy walking distance to resturants and shops. We enjoyed our stay there so much that we booked for the next year 2009 and have visited every year since with a booking made for 2013. Without doubt we feel very comfortable in this townhouse!

Excellent Situation

We spent 7 nights in this lovely clean apartment which we have stayed in before. Location is fantastic, on this occasion we did not hire a car and public transport was excellent. The owners were great in advising us how to get from airport to Casa Meia, it all went smoothlyl. This time we took some friends with us and they would have no hesitation in going back to this lovely homely apartment. The beach is less than five minutes away there are numerous restaurants open and the weather was fantastic. Roof terrace just excellent. We walked across the tops to Lagos, a lovely walk with fantastic scenery. We will be back.

Casa Meia

We have now stayed in this accommodation for 5 years in a row, and I think that says it all. The house itself has superb facilities and the roof terrace is far better than the photographs illustrate. Location-wise you are a two-minute walk to the beach and for such a small village Luz has an excellent choice of restaurants-all of which are within a ten-minute walk of the house. The property itself is always well maintained, with maid service twice a week, and we have always found the staff at the Ocean Club friendly and helpful. I revert back to the first line of this review-5 years in row means there is something about both the accommodation and the resort which places them above the run-of-the-mill properties on offer, and I would not hesitate to recommend both.

Wonderful house and perfect location

We loved this property from day 1!! We stayed in Madeline’s house for 2 weeks and couldn’t fault it in any way. First the house was immaculate and so clean. It is modern and has excellent WiFi. It had everything you needed as a home. There are three levels and the rooftop terrace and outdoor bbq was the icing on the cake with the sun shining there until late evening you could sit out and have dinner there too. The proximity to the beach and cafe’s, restaurants etc was perfect for us. Having the access to the Luz Bay Hotel pools also was welcome on the days when a beach break was needed. You can also use their tennis courts too. The mid week cleaning service was also great to freshen up the house. There were two great showers in the house with instant hot water. If anything could be improved it is having the air con working in the bedrooms given weather was especially warm this year the bedrooms did tend to get very warm. There was plug in fans available and we did use this to help. We would love to return to this property next year and would highly recommend a stay here

So pleased you enjoyed your holiday. Thank you for your great review. We will look into the aircon issue for next summer. We don't rent it with this because it gets left on with windows open. Electricity is so expensive there now. We may add an extra cost if guests want to use it. Thanks again.

Maison spacieuse, bien équipée, plusieurs balcons dont une terrasse sur le toit très appréciable qui offre une belle vue. Il faisant bon à l’intérieur malgré la chaleur extérieur. Le ménage en milieu de séjour est appréciable. Plage et commerces accessibles à quelques minutes à pied se qui est un plus. Seul bémol, les places de parking, énormément de monde et très peu de places.

Logement vraiment propre est très bien situé, à quelques minutes à pied de la plage, accès aux piscines de l'hôtel.Nous avons passer vraiment un agréable séjour ou le logement est vraiment bien équipée et très propre. Ce quenous avons apprécié c'est la vue sur la mer depuis le solarium. Maddie répond rapidement. Nous reviendrons certainement.
