Please be aware that our last review was in 2019 just before Covid-19. We closed the villa down a week after the pandemic hit the world. In 2022 the war broke out in Ukraine. However we have many reviews before that and hope you will take a look at them. Bulgaria is not in any way afected by this war, and is a very safe and welcoming country to holiday in.

This luxurious villa in Varna. Set in the village of .Borovets Awaken your senses amongst the breathtaking mountain slopes and lush green hills with a sea view from the comfort of your balcony on a south facing aspect, or relax in the comfort of your Rising Sun Villa which is fully air conditioned throughout.

The village of Borovets Asparuhovo District of Varna has a few local bar & Resturant and two well stocked mini market. Borovets is an ideal family holiday destination with Varna City centre only a short 15 minute bus ride away where you will find ample shopping facilities, bars, beach and restaurants.

We have information booklets in the villa which contain everything you need to know to make your holiday everything you wished for and more.

Follow the abundance of flora along the lush green slopes for a short walk in to Asparuhovo or Galata where you will find one of the two breath taking beaches.

We have a representative who will meet you at the Airport and be available on call 24/7 we can help with Airport taxi / car hire which was can arranged for you.

Lovely stay in what could be a lovely property

We had a great couple of weeks in the villa, but I have really struggled with how to review it. The villa was clean and well furnished, with almost everything you might need, however some of the information provided, and equipment could benefit from a little updating. On our arrival the management company didnā€™t even bother to meet us, and just directed us to where they had left the keys. The outside space, with the exception of the pool, was poorly maintained, the bbq area was old and tired, the grass was long and dying, there was a full ashtray by the pool. This left us with a really poor first impression. It was all reported to the management company but despite following up nothing more was heard during the whole 2 weeks. I did notify the owner who was very apologetic, but struggled to do anything due to being overseas. However, despite all this, we did have a fantastic couple of weeks. The children loved the pool, which was recently updated, and very clean. The local area is great, with loads to see and do within a reasonable distance. There is a lovely restaurant within walking distance and we got the bus into Varna on several occasions. You do need a car to get further afield, but driving is reasonably easy, if you are cautious of potholes and crazy overtaking!

Besser geht's nicht

Der Urlaub drohte der reine Horror zu werden, FlĆ¼ge gecancelt, Stunden in FlughƤfen verbracht, GepƤck verloren... Dann kamen wir in der Villa Sunrise an und alles wendet sich zum Besten. Sehr schƶner Ort um auszuspannen und sich zu erholen. Villa ist sehr sauber, es ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und alles was man braucht ist vorhanden. Alex der Verwalter ist sehr zuvorkommend und sofort da, wenn man was braucht. Sollten wir je wieder nach Bulgarien kommen werden wir auf jeden Fall die Zeit hier verbringen wollen.

Bulgarian Villa

This was a superb villa, one of the best we have stayed at. The villa was well appointed with everthing we needed and the pool and BBQ were some of the best we have used.Trevor and Elizabeth were extremely helpful all the way through from booking and during are stay. We would reccomend this villa to anyone.

A lovely stay in a beautiful Villa

We spent 10 wonderful days in this lovely place in August 2018. The villa itself lived up to all our expectations. It was clean, spacious, fully equipped with everything and more you would need for your stay. The location was good for access to shops, bars and restaurants, although we would highly recommend car hire as it is quite remote and nothing is really 'walk-able'. There was plenty of information available to guide you towards local restaurants and beaches, all of which were lovely to visit. We had a day out in Nessebar Old Town which was lovely, and we included a visit to the Aqua Park. Top Tips - take teabags! I noticed this tip on one of the pages on the owners direct app and we were glad we did as they are hard to source in the supermarkets. Thank you to Trevor and Liz for allowing us to hire their beautiful villa. We will certainly be recommending you to friends and family

Beautiful Villa and pool, Very well equiped

We had 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 kids and the Villa gave us all the space we needed. Lovely Pool, Sun all day long and 3 separate outdoor areas to eat, .drink etc. Very impressed how well equipped it was, games, books, inflatables, tons of kitchen equipment and more info about the local area and Bulgaria than I could read in my 8 days. I also appreciated all the little helpful things like soap in all the bathrooms, plenty of adaptors and an electric mosquito repeller in every room. Personally I would recommend having a car as the village is quite isolated if you're on foot and buses seemed a bit erratic at times.Taxis were very cheap and reasonable but the address was difficult to convey by phone so getting back to the villa was easy, but getting a taxi to come to the Villa proved difficult. However once I hired a car everywhere was a short easy drive. The area is lovely, the local beaches great and Varna is an exciting vibrant place with all you expect from a City. The owners were very helpful and responded immediately to any requests and queries and were very accomodatingl and flexible concerning times and transfers. In summary this is a beautiful Villa in a great setting and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone (I like)

Superbly equipped villa in quiet village with easy access to beaches, restaurants, shops and city.

We loved the Rising Sun Villa, it was spacious and comfortable for our family group of 7. The pool was clean and big enough for all of us to swim, play games, and cool down. There was plenty of cutlery, crockery, pots, pans etc. and the dishwasher kept it all clean. We watched a couple of DVDs and the wifi meant that everyone could get their own entertainment. Small local shops are a few minutes walk and everything else is a car or bus ride (no.46) costing 1 Lev for any journey. The air-con in each bedroom meant we slept comfortably. The air-con in the main room allowed us to escape the heat of the day when required. The apartment at the top (1 bedroom + shower) has a separate front door so we could chill but we did allow the others to visit and share the great view. :) Three toilet/shower rooms and one with a bath was plenty with no need for fights or long queues. Service was great, we were met at the airport with keys and the pool man visited mid-stay. We even had a minor water leak but the plumber was there within 30 minutes of a call to the owner and it was fixed in an hour. The washing machine enabled us to return home with most of our clothes already clean. The owners allowed us to match our stay to the best flights rather than insisting on saturday-saturday. The local people were friendly, I just wish I had learned a bit of the language.

A thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing holiday in a superbly equipped and presented property.

We had a wonderful family holiday staying at the villa. The layout of the villa ensured everyone had plenty of space however also allowed everyone to get together for meal times. It was wonderful to be able to escape the family in the apartment room!, Everywhere was very clean and while we were there the pool was cleaned twice. The outdoor space was fantastic and many happy hours were spent in the pool. We used public buses and taxi's and managed to get around the area. Eating out was extremely reasonable and we were made to feel welcome to Bulgaria

Fantastic holiday

Had a fantastic time in the rising Sun villa. The listing was accurate in every way. The property is very clean and highly maintained. I would definitely recommend this villa to anybody because it is a very high standard and worth every penny. The kids loved having there own pool and we enjoyed the sunbathing šŸ˜šŸ˜. Would highly recommend hiring a car.

Fabulous Family Villa

Had a Great time at the villa. Couldn't get the kids out of the pool even for dinner. Nice location to get to the local beaches, which have golden white sand. You cant go wrong if you wont to have a nice family holiday with all the comforts of home. Zoe,Frank,Sara&Jay

Comfortable large villa

Comfortable and well equipped, this villa has everything you need to enjoy your stay near Varna. Beaches are nearby with fine sand and warm seas. Varna itself has plenty going on and has a great atmosphere. There's a separate apartment which may suit you well if you're in a larger group.

Great Villa

Great villa in a lovely village and very well equipped. Fully fitted kitchen, TV/Sky/DVD/Wi-Fi should you need, a few indoor/outdoor games, air con - prefect. Pool was really warm, garden lovely, villa really clean & well-presented. Trevor & Liz couldn't have been more helpful; always on hand to help out or offer advice before and during the holiday. They even organized a local hotel to print our boarding cards for us for the return flight! Location is great. We would recommend a car although we didn't try the local bus/taxi services which are apparently pretty good. There are a couple of small shops and a local bar within 6-800 metres. Quite a few local restaurants which are great, but not all speak English or have an English menu, so take a phrase book or smart-phone translation app. Cheap to live as well. On average we spent about 80-100 leva (Ā£30-40) on a family meal for 5 with two courses including drinks. Local towns are great, and supermarkets are quite close. Varna is worth a few trips; nice pedestrian area for shopping, eating or just walking. Highlights of the location are. Local beaches and beach-side restaurants/bars. Varna town (either park down a side street, or at the Dolphinarium and walk through the Sea Gardens to the town). Sea Gardens in Varna. Dolphinarium in Varna (if you want to do it, book the swimming with dolphins experience before you go - we didn't and it was fully booked). scuba diving with Erica fully qualified teacher. Brilliant for first-timers/kids. On the whole we were very impressed with Bulgaria, and the weather was perfect.

Fantastic week in the Rising Sun villa

We have just enjoyed a fantastic week in the Rising Sun villa. We are a family of 4 adults and 3 children and cannot praise this villa highly enough. The details sent to us beforehand by Trevor and Liz where really comprehensive and they were more than happy to be on hand to answer any questions. The villa itself is beautiful and exceptionally clean. Every little detail has been thought of, there are games and books in the cupboards and I cannot think of anything you might need which wasn't there. The villa is also disabled friendly which is a rare and welcome thing. The details of local areas of interest such as beaches and day trips are all in the villa and we enjoyed several trips into the town. We didn't have a car but the bus service is reliable and the taxis cheap. Mainly we spent days lounging by the pool (inflatables provided) and cooking from the wonderful fresh produce available in Bulgaria. We often stay in villas around Europe and this is truly one of the nicest we have ever stayed in. All in all, a wonderful week. Thanks Trevor and Liz. The Murphy family.

Lovely Villa

The Rising Sun villa is beautiful. The views of the rolling hills and the Black Sea are wonderful. The villa is incredibly well equipped with everything you could possibly need and more and was very clean when we arrived. It has large spacious rooms and floor to ceiling windows so is very light and airy. The pool is fab and the kids have loved splashing around every day. The owners Trevor and Liz have been great and have done everything they can to make our stay comfortable including providing baby monitors, cot sheets etc. The villa is incredibly suitable for families with very young and older children and has enough room for extended family too.

Outstanding!

Firstly, we cannot praise Trevor & Liz highly enough. They were so helpful from the moment we booked our holiday right up until we arrived back home. The villa itself is perfect. It is light, airy, extremely well equipped and very comfortable. The garden and pool are fantastic. We all had lots of fun and considering there were 7 of us, there was enough space to not feel as though you were on top of each other. We would highly recommend this villa if a member of your family has a disability as it has been built with this in mind, including stairlift and raised toilets. The amenities are more than adequate and it appears that Trevor & Liz have thought of everything you could possibly need during your stay. Our 5 children whos ages range from 17 to 5 always had something to occupy them whether it be a boardgame or DVD in the evening or utilising the spacious garden/pool in the day. We would suggest that it is better to have car hire, however, the buses run frequently and stop across the road from the villa so you can always get around. There is plenty of information in the villa regarding transport, eating out, beaches etc etc. This holiday was perfect...right down to the neighbours who kindly furnished us with their home grown produce and always had a cheery smile and wave. All in all, it was absolutely perfect. You MUST try this!!

My wife and I live with our two children in Manchester England. We have travelled extensively throughout Europe and fell in love with Bulgaria after it was recommended to us by a friend.

After several holidays in this beautiful country we decided to purchase some land on the Black sea coast. and build our own villa. We now have our dream holiday home which we hope that other people will enjoy it as much as we do,

With its Child friendly swimming pool as the shallow end is 3ft 3inch and the deep end is 5ft (1300-1500) so great for non swimmers and good swimmer alike which allows familyā€™s to play pool games all together knowing that the pool has a UV light which guarantees the water will be 100% clean at all times.

Bulgaria has many beautiful locations one of which is the Borovets , Varna, near Galata, with panoramic sea views and rolling countryside and a fantastic transport infrastructure.

Travelling on the local bus is the easy and cheapest ways to visit all other resorts and locations.

Our villa is built to EU standards and is totally accessible for all including wheelchair users.
The airport is LESS then 25 minutes away, Varna City centre is less then 15 mins by car or bus.

Beautiful beaches are in close proximity. The Villa is great for families and designed in such a way, that those who want to read a book in a quiet area can always find somewhere on one of the three balconies or in the garden under the apple tree, or at the pool side.
