The Starfish houseboat has 1 Queen bed, 2 Twin Beds . Each houseboat has flat-screen TVs with cable and complimentary WiFi. The kitchen features a refrigerator, stove-top, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and well-equipped kitchens. The sliding glass doors lead to back patio overlooking wonderful water views. , located between Key Largo and Islamorada in Tavernier at Mile Marker 91.7 on the Bayside, in a protected tranquil oasis cove of Community Harbor, in the beautiful Florida Keys.

Can’t wait to come back!

We really enjoyed staying on the Starfish. The bathroom is beyond super tiny, but there are a larger outdoor showers and pool bathrooms that we used. If you are a larger person, the super tiny bathrooms will be a problem. However, it won’t prevent us from returning. We loved it!

Lovely views off the back! Overall nice accommodations but lights in bathroom dont work at.

Had a nice time and convenient to everything. Bath house was bright and clean but would definitely recommend fixing the lights in the bathroom on the boat and replacing the burned out light in the BR and LR to make it brighter and easier to see at night.

Great, Quiet Spot

When we were looking at hotel options, we kept coming across the same old descriptions. We came to VRBO to find something different, and were not disappointed. There isn't a better way to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Keys than on a houseboat in a marina. Similar to staying in an RV park, but was even quieter. The accommodations were great, clean and quiet. A couple of good coffee houses were in walking distance and many seafood restaurants a short drive in either direction. We also ran across some really nice people who escaped the traditional hotel life as well. I highly recommend the Starfish or one of the other houseboats at the marina.

Cute Boathouse

What a cute and convenient way to vacation. Loved being literally on the water and sitting outside in the Adirondack chairs watching the boats come into the marina in the evening. The boathouse was super clean. It was a quiet and relaxing place to stay. We had one issue with the water not working on day two of our 3 night stay (not the property’s fault) but Mike the property manager was extremely accommodating and gave us access to a vacant houseboat across from ours so we wouldn’t be without water for the short time it took for ours to be fixed. Thanks for a great weekend getaway! We will be returning soon!

Starfish Serenity

This was our first houseboat experience and we really enjoyed it. We were on the Starfish. Sitting on the rear deck watching the storms, sunsets and stars were nice end of day rituals for us. The accommodations were absolutely fine. The layout of the boat was perfect and worked well for us. It was nice being on the water without the need for dramamine. Mike, the property manager was exceptional. he was very accommodating and friendly and made us feel welcome right from the start.

We totally enjoyed our stay at mangrove marina in our nice little houseboat. Can't get much more waterfront than that! The staff is friendly and helpful and Mike the property manager made our stay awesome! Thanks to all.

Great stay aboard the Starfish

Easy check in process. It was New Year’s Eve so keys and documents were in an envelope at the office as it was already closed when we arrived at about 3. However, did meet the manager, Mike, who was a really cool guy and fun to talk to. Marina was really clean and nice. A lot of awesome boats for sale to look at and be jealous of. Will definitely be back, perhaps to stay aboard the Gray Lady or Captains Quarters next time, the larger vessels this group operates. Looking forward to it.

Boats is terrible shape and leaning that they fix with barrels

Stayed last year and returned..under new management..boats in terrible condition...leaning and they attempt to fix with water filled 55 gallin drums..communication lacking...owners did not seem interested in having us there...will not return

Weekend on the Starfish

We had a wonderful stay at the Mangrove Marina. The staff was great and helpful, the Marina is centrally located to many attractions in the upper keys John Pennekamp State park, Windley Key Fossil Reef Geological State Park, & Robbies where you can rent boats, snorkel, take glass bottom boat tours, go fishing, and see amazing sunsets. The houseboat is perfect for a couple or family and adults and kids could spend time out on the deck looking at the fish, Manatees, and stingrays swim by. Our boat slept 5 with a common area including couch, table with 4 chairs, and a large kitchen and its own bathroom. Marina also had bathroom facilities, washer and dries and a pool for the guest.

Wonderful accommodations

We did stay in the original boathouse that we signed up for but everything was handled very professionally and they gave a beautiful boathouse to stay on. It seemed brand new. It was spacious, clean , the views were wonderful, the staff was exceptional and the location was perfect for us. We will definitely being booking there again .

Situated on the waterfront, we are only 60 miles from Miami, 8 miles from Key Largo and John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, 10 miles from Islamorada, the “Fishing Capitol of the US” and the Theater of the Sea Marine Mammal Park and scenic drive south on Overseas Hwy, 90 miles to Key West visiting the southernmost point of the US and the famous Duval Street and all of the activities.
