Modern, spacious (1083 sq ft), one bedroom, two bathroom, single level condominium situated in a private desert oasis.
The Racquet Club Colony offers an intimate, gated residential community of only 20 units. The community was built in 1983 as the third and final phase of the Racquet Club of Palm Springs -- playground of legendary Hollywood stars such as Marilyn Monroe.
Amenities include:

- Modernist decor (all new in 2012)
- Lush tropical/desert landscaping
- View overlooking community pool and spa
- Fully furnished kitchen
- Dining patio with gas grill
- Master bedroom with king sized bed, en suite bathroom and private patio
- WiFi and HD cable programming included

- Convertible inflatable full size mattress
- Full-sized washer and dryer in unit

Private, one-level unit overlooks beautiful community pool and spa. During winter months (January - March) the pool and spa will not be heated due to increased gas pricing to the HOA. 1083 square feet of living space, plus enclosed patios off of dining area and master suite. Two full baths, including marble walk-in shower in the master bathroom. Full kitchen with granite counters, small appliances and cooking utensils. Completely redecorated and refurnished in 2012 with modern decor.

Convenient location. Very comfortable condo unit with everything we needed for a 4 night stay. The only downside was the traffic noise. Also, be sure to read the check out instructions a day before leaving. We’ve never had a rental that asked us to wash and dry the towels before checking out. Luckily we read the instructions early enough.

1st time traveler to Palm Springs

Racquet club is an older area but well maintained. Same with the condo. Good location some traffic noise. Kitchen well stocked overall perfect for a couple. Enjoyed our stay.

Better than the photo’s & description!

The photos and description of this dreamy home didn't do it justice! The modern condo in Palm Springs exceeded our expectations with its extreme comfort and thoughtful amenities throughout. The space is aesthetically pleasing, featuring real art and impeccable taste in design. I highly recommend this place and would love to stay here again on our next PSP adventure.

Great place to stay... Easy access to airport, downtown, the tram, and heading north to Joshua Tree. This would be a great place to work remote away from the rain and snow it has everything a home away from home needs. I shall talk to my boss.....

GREAT GETAWAY PLACE

We stayed at Jim's property during a mid-winter trip seeking warmer temperatures and relaxation. This was the perfect place for us. It is decorated in pleasant "Palm Springs" style and has lovely grounds with pools and hot tub. It is very clean and is well-stocked with everything one might need. My husband and I stayed here with our dog, Jax, and plan to return again.

Relaxing condo complex with no shared walls. Plenty of space with extra bathroom and two private patios. Nearby gated pool and hot tub. Only drawback is proximity to loud roadway. Would stay there again if in Palm Springs.

We stayed 3 weeks at the condo & despite unusually cool weather found the indoor & outdoor spaces really comfortable. We didn’t use the pool due to weather, but did enjoy sitting at the pool with our sweatshirts on! The dog run is a fabulous asset to the condo & made caring for our dog very easy. This is our second time staying at this condo & we certainly would again!

Lovely stay

Highlights of the trip included the size of the property (two large bathrooms, large bedroom, spacious common areas), the pool, and the overall vibe of the home. The only thing I wish was better is that there is only one pedestrian exit from the other side of the complex and you need a key to get out. Very good to stay if you have a car as the parking spot is conveniently located, but it was less convenient for someone who is walking everywhere. I would still stay here again, though. There is a very useful binder with information in the unit, and communications with the property manager were prompt and easy. Thank you!!

Beautiful design and decor, but not perfect for us

This condo is every bit as beautiful as the photos. There are lots of little touches that make it special, including the most functional kitchen we have ever experienced in a small space. There were a few maintenance issues that we have alerted the owner and manager about, and I'm confident they will have those fixed. Here are some additional pros/cons. Pros * Feels quite roomy. Lots of places to sit, and comfy furniture. * Pretty inside, as noted, but also the grounds of the complex are beautiful. * Covered parking. * Comfortable bed with plenty of pillows. * Kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped Cons * Nearby street noise may be a problem for light sleepers or those sensitive to noise. * We temporarily switched out the dining room light bulbs with some LEDs we picked up at the store, because it seemed too dark for us.

We loved it here!

Jim (owner) and his assistant Marc provided amazing service and communication from the beginning to the end. We loved staying at Jim's property as it was perfect. When we arrived to meet Marc for a thorough walk-thru, Jim the owner gifted us with a large meat/cheese charcuterie plate, bottle of champagne on ice and a large birthday balloon. He knew is was my girlfriends birthday. Went above and beyond a very nice touch. The condo is much larger in person than the pics. It was plenty spacious for two and had everything you needed. The pool area was great as we got plenty of sun and palm trees surrounded the area if you needed a little shade to cool off. The running waterfall was very meditating and helped calm down the street noise. The property was located very close to downtown Palm Springs so taking an UBER was 3-4 minutes costing us about $9-$10 each way. (Did not rent a car). There was many great restaurants, bars, art and shops to choose from. Every place we went to the service was amazing which is always a bonus when your visiting a town for the first time. Overall a fun trip and looking forward to bouncing back again soon for some more sun and good times. Thank you Jim and Marc for everything. Cheers, Michael and Sarah :)

Would stay again if issues resolved

Lovely condo located next to a busy road, and on the airport flight path. Noise not all that noticeable when inside, but can be quite distracting when sat on the patio. Wouldn’t stop me going again, but if traffic noise bothers you this place may not be your best choice. The condo was clean, except for the floors, which needed a good scrub. They’d been given a superficial mop with a Swiffer, but those things don’t touch ground in dirt. I cleaned some of the worst spots myself on my hands and knees using a floor rag. But the entire floor needs attention. Despite that we enjoyed our 3 week stay here, because it’s a beautifully decorated condo in a very pretty complex. The pool area is lovely, and would have been even better if the pool and hot tub were heated. But, unfortunately for us, the HOA had decided to turn it off for 3 months to save money, and the condo owner forgot to tell us. He did put the info on his VRBO site but, as we’d booked a year ago we didn’t think to recheck the info on the site before making our final payment, so were unaware. Lesson learned; always recheck the site info before finalizing the deal! He apologized profusely, but I think he should have sent me a message at the same time as he changed his ad. Because I really would have preferred a place with a usable pool and hot tub. Nevertheless, provided the pool and hot tub are heated, and provided the floors are cleaned properly, I would stay here again.

Of the many properties that I considered for purchase in 2016, this was the one that I would personally want to rent for vacation. It offers the perfect combination of location, setting and style.
