Spacious, Family Home In Private Beach Community - Mitiwanga

Welcome to Mitiwanga, a private beach community located between Huron and Vermilion on beautiful Lake Erie. This home has a large open floor plan that can accommodate large gatherings. The family room has 2 full size couches, extra seating and is open to the kitchen which has 2 eating counters that can seat 5. The dining room table can provide seating for 8-12 people. The first floor also has a large laundry room, full bath with a shower and a queen bedroom. Upstairs includes another queen bedroom, 2 walk through bedrooms with a twin bed in each that lead to 2 back bedrooms with 3 twin beds in each. There is also a fifith bedroom with a twin over full bunk bed.
A pack-n-play crib, guard rail and kid's booster seat are also available.
This house has a large screen TV with cable and DVD in the family room, additional TV's with DVD only capability in several upstairs bedrooms, free WIFI throughout, games, books and puzzles.
Outside is a large, private patio with furniture and dining table/chairs, and a fenced-in yard with lots of grass, trees and a Bocce court (we provide the Bocce balls!) and a corn hole set. A gas grill for dinner and portable fire-pit for your Smores dessert, extend the fun after dark. There is designated parking for 6 cars at the house with additional parking around the corner.
The private beach and basketball, volleyball and tennis courts are for Mitiwanga guests only and located less than 100 yards from the house. Cranberry Creek Marina is a short walk away for boat/jet ski docking and launching.

Great Stay

The street was closed (it had been sealed) when we arrived, but some awesome neighbors helped us park and bring our things in. Another great stay!

Wonderful stay!

We loved the “homey” feel of the property and the neighbors were all so friendly and welcoming! Staying at this property, walking distance from the lake, definitely beat staying in a hotel!! The owners were also great to work with as we were there for a baseball tournament and requested check-in/out flexibility.

Wonderful accommodations!

The house was big enough and had enough beds for the 12 of us to each have our own. The walk to the lake was something many of the guests enjoyed!

GORGEOUS

Stayed here for the solar eclipse, and wow was it a trip of a lifetime! The house was perfect for all our needs, from the 6month old to the grandparents. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend!

Perfect, once again!

This is our 2nd time at this property and again it was perfect! We like the updated kitchen and large backyard and large dining table/area for gathering! The home is bright and updated and the hosts are fantastic communicators. We hope to stay again soon!!!

Wonderful Thanksgiving

The property was perfect for 13 of us gather and spend thanksgiving together. We spent the chilly mornings collecting shells on the beach and taking wonderful pictures of Lake Erie. My toddler loved being so close to trains and being able to see and hear pretty much any time of the day. The property owners are great to deal with, we had some plumbing issues, and they were quick to respond us even late at night.

Perfect for us!

We love Mitiwanga but it is sometimes tough to find accommodations in which we need separate beds. This place met all of our needs, a quick hop to the beach, several beds, a great kitchen to food prep while conversing with others and a large dining area to enjoy big meals! Thanks so much for a lovely stay!!! We'll be back!

Nice place for the family

Rented this place for a weekend of travel baseball..there was plenty of beds and room for everyone! Plenty to do ..lots of family games and less than a minute to the lake.

Cute Place

Very clean and cute place. Not much parking and house on a busy street. Didn’t feel comfortable having a group outside due to close neighbors and trying to keep fairly quiet. Otherwise great experience.

Comfy space

It was a comfy space that accommodated our large group. It was pretty clean, but there was a dirty diaper (pull-up) in the drawer in one of the bedrooms upstairs. We wished there were a few more pots and pans to cook in. We needed a toaster or toaster oven. Location and neighborhood were amazing. Overall we had a good time and would rent from here again.😃

Great house for a group gathering!

This house is the perfect place to host a family or friend gathering. Plenty of beds and the perfect location very close to a beautiful beach. We enjoyed the back yard, too.

Lake area

This house was central for our group and worked okay. The upstairs is odd. The kitchen is small, but the backyard and patio was great for hanging out and having a fire. Nothing outstanding, but it worked. Community volleyball, park, and beach would bring us back.

Great location for a family!

The house and location were perfect for our large family. Fenced in back yard is perfect for a toddler. Lots to do! Beautiful private beach, searching for beach glass, benches on the dune to watch the sunset, grilling and fire pit for roasting marshmallows. We enjoyed our stay!

Great house with tons of space and well stocked!

Lovely little house with surprisingly a whole lot of space! Beautiful back yard with lots to do. Kids loved riding bikes to the beach and tennis courts. They also found some fun toys, games and puzzles! Would stay here again in a second. A++++

Alot of beds.

We loved how open the downstairs is. Outdoors was nice.The kitchen was also nice and came with pots and pans both keurig and a regular coffee pot, crockpot,toaster etc... If you plan on using the fire pit you have to get wood for it. We found small $5 bundles at Dollar General right up the road. Upstairs it is a little cramped if you have older kids and older family members but there is more beds then listed and very much appreciated. This was good so we could all spread out in the tight spaces. Overall I would recommend this place it was quiet, safe and entertaining. They have plenty of outside games, and equipment to use. The only thing I would recommend is to bring extra towels especially if you use more then one with a group of 10.

Private, Quiet community house !

Great House and Location !! We have a small group that gets together a few times a year to Fish Lake Erie and this years Fall trip we decided to rent a place that we could all stay together and make it more about the Breakfasts, Fishing, Dinners and the days stories !! Looks like there are even more activities here to enjoy on a summer trip that we were not able to take advantage of due to us wanting to be on the water during daylight hours but definitely a great gathering house for larger families ( tons of sleeping capacity )or a couple families that want to spend some time together. Thank You for sharing your house with us Tim !!

"Go Jump In the Lake" is co-owned by the Gibels (a family of 6) and the Walshes ( a family of 5) and as new owners we have only just begun to enjoy the weeks and weekends in this home. We can tell you the Mitiwanga community is quiet and friendly with one of the best sandy beaches that Lake Erie has to offer. We are eager for you to thoroughly enjoy our home away from home.

We love the location of this house which is in the heart of all the summertime fun that Lake Erie has to offer. It is within 45 minutes of events happening in Cleveland to the east and Port Clinton and the Lake Erie Islands to the west. This house is large enough for multiple generation family get togethers or several families to share. With a double lot, this property boasts a big fenced-in yard that is very unusual for the neighborhood. The house has been updated while simultaneously retaining some of the unique features of the original 100 year old cottage.
