Villa Orianna has been built to the highest specification with no expense spared. On the ground floor the open plan Kitchen and Lounge have patio doors that fully open out to a further covered terrace overlooking the pool and sea. The 3 Bedrooms and 2 luxury bathrooms are all on the ground floor. Stairs leading to 1st floor mezzine with further double bed, offering further dining areas, internet access with more terraces and spectacular views. Many of the outside areas offer BBQ and alfresco dining. If you would like to experience a little bit of heaven, stay at Villa Orianna (Golden Dawn) where you can watch the Sunrise & Sunset from around the pool. Easy access airport 40 minutes. Beach and tavernas 5 minutes. Agios Nickolas 25 minutes. Malia 15 minutes. Elounda 35 minutes. Sisi is only 10 minutes away. It is part of our service to meet you at the airport and show you the way to Villa Orianna, this should make your journey a little more relaxing. We enjoy our stay at Villa Orianna. Terry and Jo welcome us greatly. The view from the house is wonderful with no neighbourhood. This villa is suitable for 6 people rather than 8. There are 3 bedrooms so my children slept in the mezzanine which was fine but less comfortable. Otherwise it was wonderful, you can easily reach main roads to go to Agios Nikolaos or elsewhere. There are a nice bar, restaurants and a small beach at Milatos if you prefer to stay close. Thanks again to Terry and Jo that were very helpful and provide us good advice.

Great villa with wonderful views and fantastic pool

A lovely villa with a great pool and wonderful views. Excellent local tavernas and seafront within 5 minute drive. Well placed for trips to Minoan sites, beaches , water parks etc.Hosts Terry and Jo could not be more helpful and great meet and greet service from the airport.

Beautiful villa

This is a beautiful villa, in a fantastic location, up in the hills, looking down on the village below with superb wide ranging views of the sea and the hills and mountains behind There fantastic viewing and seating areas located all around the villa for everytime of day I'd refer to the pool as an infinity pool, once you're in, you look out to the sea beyond When you're sun bathing, yes it gets hot, but as you're up in the hills, you get a cooling breeze at times which is welcome There's loads of space all around, a fantastic music system, where you can hook up your music through a laptop which is provided, so you have your favourite music whilst your outside in the pool There's also UK TV, with every channel you can think of and want, table football upstairs Brilliant seating areas inside Brilliant kitchen with every gadget, untensil you'll ever need The owners are also fantastic, firstly in communication before we got there, arranging to meet us, so that we could follow them to the villa without getting lost, then they'd left us enough supplies, (milk, cereal, tea, coffee, orange juice, beers, wine, fruit) for us to not have to bother to go out shopping on the night we got there. There were enough supplied for a good day, meaning we could enjoy the pool the next day and then shop on the night. Plus the kitchen is fully stocked with herbs, spices, sugar, etc, the sort of things you need to cook, but never think of when you're out shopping (didn't need to it was there) There was also enough washing liquid, detergent, etc, to wash the clothes for an army, again something we didn't need to buy (we've stayed in lots of villas and never had this provided before) They also gave us great tips on where to shop, places to go, eat and drink Basically lovely people, who couldn't do enough for us - nothing was any trouble for them Milatos itself is a quiet village, there's a shop for basic supplies, but plenty of tavernas, for food and drink, and we found them all reasonably priced. The people running the tavernas were lovely,, talkative, again, couldn't do enough for us Then you have Malia a short drive away for supermarkets Milatos cave is worth a look for a couple of hours out All in all a brilliant holiday in a brilliant location. We would love to return No doubt I've missed off loads on this review, just take it that this place is brilliant (i like that word) and relax!!!

a wonderful villa with all that's necessary for perfect holidays.

A warm welcome by Terry and Jo who are always there to answer all your inquiries; a wonderful villa with a stunning view where everybody can feel at home and an incredible swimming-pool to relax under the Cretan sun. Nice tavernas a few kilometers from the villa and many places to visit not far away. All that makes your holidays perfect.

Excellent

It is a fantastic villa owned by a fantastic couple Terry and Jo. There is everything you need in there and they even left us a very nice welcome pack. Terry and jo made us feel very welcome and couldn't do enough for us, we very much hope that we could meet up again some time.

Great villa with its own pool and views of the sea beyond

We had a great two weeks in North East Crete at this well appointed villa just up the hill from Milatos for our family holiday. We found a hire car essential to visit more of the surrounding area being an active family. However the villa with its lovely pool had everything we needed when we didn't want to be out and about. We loved using the outside BBQ area for cooking and eating alfresco.

FABULOUS Villa / Location - Great Rental

Spectacular location overlooking Milatos bay with great sea views out over the pool. Idyllic little Greek church on hillside in the distance. A proper villa / room with a view ! Villa has plenty of parking, good size pool (nice and clean), pretty little garden with BBQ area. Plenty of nice cool shade on the large terrace with comfy cane / wicker patio set (ideal for dining al fresco) as well as sun loungers around the pool for the sun lovers. The interior is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean, with a large airy open plan main living area leading on to large terrace and pool. Fully equipped, the villa provided everything we could need with lots of extra touches from the owners Terry and Jo who were discreetly on hand in the village if needed but otherwise we were left to enjoy our stay – which we did. Loved it so much we are looking to go back this summer.

A-MAZ-ING

We have stayed at Villa Orianna a couple of times and we had a fabulous time on both occasions. The villa is amazing. The interior decor is very good and makes the house lovely and cool in the hot summer. There is everything you could possibly want and need all supplied from BBQ and loungers to washing machine. Jo and Terry Lacey are lovely people who were so very helpful. They left leaflets and brochures for the local area and were more than happy to answer any other questions we had. The views from every aspect of the garden and balconies were just to die for. We have some amazing pictures of the sunset from the infinity pool All in all we had brilliant holidays in Crete and are planning another return trip this year. I can't praise the house, the area, the welcoming locals and the Lacey's enough. Thank you so much for letting us live your lives for just two weeks a year.

Enjoyed this top villa a second time

We loved the house, the plants surrounding it, the quiet area. Jo and Terry were very friedly and take very good care, the plants are in good shape and the pool water is excellent. The garden has plenty of solar colour leds and looks like a fairy tale in the evenings. Very spacious, and a game room with a nice table football. Music&speakers everywhere. The view is spectacular, the Milatos village visible below (10 min walk down), good sight on gorge and the sea. Nice restaurants at the seafront. Supermarkets are nearby in Sisi and Malia. The baker delivers a bread at the gate in the morning when payed upfront (in Milatos village in the street below "The Well" tavern). Liked walking to Sissi, to the cave and a long walk nearby (around the green area on google maps, via Tsampi and Latsida), and the Lassithi plane was worth a visit, as well as the Dikti mountains just South of it (visited 2 of the 3 peaks). This was our second visit and we hope to re-visit in the future (been to Crete 8 times so far). Many thanks to Jo&Terry for their hopitality. Marleen&Stef
