Lovely Villa, Sleeps 6, Private HEATED Pool, Wifi, 20 mins to Atlantic Beaches

Built in a traditional Vendeene style, Les Peupliers is our much-loved holiday home situated in the unspoilt hamlet of La Baffardiere which forms part of a protected area of outstanding natural beauty, within the River Yon Nature Reserve.

The property sits in a quiet lane with no through traffic, from where there are many walks and cycle rides through wooded lanes and paths down to the River Yon. The pretty village of Le Champs St Pere is only a short drive or bike ride away, where you will find a supermarket with petrol station, pharmacy, bakery, bar and a market in the village square in Thursday mornings. 20 minutes to the North of Le Champs St Pere is the thriving university town of La Roche Sur Yon, and equidistant to the South is the historic, cathedral town of Lucon.

The villa itself is decorated and furnished to a very high standard and is equipped with everything you might need during your stay. There is a large, bright, open plan living space with comfortable seating, a dining table and chairs for 6 guests and 3 sets of french doors leading to the pool and terrace areas. The 3 good-sized, double bedrooms comprise of 1 king and 2 twins (1 of the twin rooms can be arranged as a superking) and all have comfortable beds with quality mattresses, lots of storage space and dressing tables with mirrors and lights over. There are 2 full bathrooms (1 is en-suite) and all bed linen and bathroom towels are provided. All rooms have fans and there are also hairdryers and complimentary toiletries. On arrival you will find your beds made ready, along with a welcome hamper to get your holiday off to the best start!

The wonderful outside space is fully enclosed and totally private. There are 2 outdoor dining areas, one by the pool and the other under the pergola overlooking the garden. The walled pool terrace is furnished with sun beds, cushions and parasols and the heated pool is fully maintained and equipped with an electric safety pool cover. To the rear of the house there is a full-size table tennis table.

In terms of things to do and see in the area, the list is endless and there's lots of information at the villa along with maps and directions. There are wine tasting tours, horse riding, canoeing, go-karting, sailing, the O'Fun Adventure Park, and the O'Gliss Water Park all available locally.

Slightly further a field are the historic cities of La Rochelle and Nantes, both very cosmopolitan and well worth a visit.

The nearest beach is at Longeville (approximately 20 minutes away), and there are also lots of surfing beaches offering a variety of watersports too. La Tranche (30 mins) , Les Sables d'Olonne and St Gilles de Croix are all lovely seaside resorts, with trendy shops, bars and restaurants as well as fantastic beaches. The coast is straightforward to get to, with very little traffic even in high season.

PLEASE NOTE: Our rental prices are structured according to the number of guests, which helps to make it attractive to couples and small families as well as larger groups. The number of beds prepared and towels provided equate to the number of guests as this also helps to cut down on unnecessary laundry.
