MOUNTAIN LAUREL CHALET: Located in a peaceful and private 10 acre wooded mountain setting 10 minutes from the Alpine Village of HELEN, GEORGIA. Our spacious chalet is also near UNICOI LAKE, UNICOI STATE PARK, and ANNA RUBY FALLS. This is a great location!

Our home is ideal for a couple or for a small group up to 6 adults. Very Private - yet convenient to local dining, shopping, sightseeing, hiking, and outdoor activities.

Located nearby is BRASSTOWN BALD, Georgia's highest mountain [Elevation 4784 feet]. On clear days, you can see 4 states from the mountaintop Visitor Center: Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina, including a view of the Great Smoky Mountains!

For hikers and outdoor enthusiasts, the chalet is LESS THAN 1 MILE from McCLURE CREEK and the TRAY MOUNTAIN WILDERNESS AREA of the Chattahoochee National Forest and less than 6 miles from the APPALACHIAN TRAIL via Tray Mountain Road [Tray Mountain - Elevation 4430 feet].

Great communication with host. The Chalet was beautifully decorated for Christmas , had everything we needed , really enjoyed the wood burning stove . Location was great and private but not too far from town . Already booked another trip to stay here ! Perfect little family get away !

Everything was great. The Chalet was perfect for my sister's week. It was very comfortable and homey. The town of Helen, the nearby falls and parks were equally fun and delightful. No complaints. The whole trip was awesome!

A hidden gem

My summary is that this home was perfect for us. Everything we needed was provided. This place is so quiet, all you heard are the birds. You are close to water falls, Helen, Cleveland and the country side if you just want to sightsee.

Anniversary Trip

Repeat visit to Mountain Laurel Chalet/Sautee/Helen for anniversary. Awesome area with lots to do. Mountain Laurel Chalet is a great “home away from home”, and the owner is extremely nice, accommodating, and excellent with communication.

Peaceful get away

This property was great for our family. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck, listened to all the birds and enjoyed the fall colors. Spent time in the hot tub everyday.

We loved this chalet! The pictures do not do it justice! The hot tub was huge, the upstairs was adorable and the red heater was spectacular! They provide a packnplay which was perfect because we forgot ours. The communication was above and beyond. We will be coming back next year for sure!

The chalet was WONDERFUL! Such a beautiful setting, and it was stocked with everything you could need. It’s exactly as pictured which is rare. The host, Steve, was easy to communicate with as well. We can’t wait to go back!

Great place!

I spent some quality time at this beautiful place. It is maintained very well. The owners are extremely dedicated to providing an excellent experience for their guests. The location, the serenity ... I could go on and on, but suffice it to say that you will not be disappointed!

Beautiful and Great Location

The moment you walk in the door you know you are home. It was lovely, clean, welcoming, convenient, and a perfect fit for our sibling weekend. We loved the home and encourage everyone to stay there. it was also really close to all of Helen activities. The drive was simple and short to anything you wanted to do.

We had a wonderful stay. Very spacious house in the mountains for my family of 6. Will be back!!

House was very accommodating for our family of 6 and had 5 beds which was great. Kitchen was stocked and easy to cook breakfast and dinners for everyone. Loved the layout of the house, wifi worked great, fireplace was awesome, hottub with perfect!! Only a 15min drive to Helen for daily outings and supply runs. Can't wait to visit Moutain Laurel Chalet in the summer!!

Beautiful chalet

We were glad to be away from the Hustle and bustle of Helen at times. Our communications with Steve was spot on. We do believe some of the foliage was overgrown, maybe it is manicured and trimmed back in the spring. The beds were comfortable and it was a pleasant experience

The cabin was great, was amazingly secluded, but within easy driving distance of Helen

The room sizes and layout was wonderful. Owners were a joy to deal with and we are had a great weekend stay. Only two complaints were the automatic lighting mechanism on the grill didn't work and the internet service was slow. But, we should have thought to bring matches, and who would expect fast internet service on the edge of a national forest. We had a great time and would definitely return! Thanks for a wonderful stay!!!

Wonderful Retreat

Cute, quaint little cabin in the woods. With everything you need for a relaxing retreat in the woods with all the comforts of home. Steve is a friendly host, and was quick to respond to accommodate all our needs. We had a comfortable stay, and the hot tub is great after a long day of hiking. Just keep in mind the cabin is a bit off the beaten path so if you're more of a city slicker be advised. But makes for quiet and peaceful get away from reality. Definitely would stay again!

Great visit

The cabin was very comfortable. The owner adds in little things like dishwashing soap, laundry detergent, garbage bags...nice touch. It's close to most things except a decent grocery store so recommend stopping on your way into town. The activities that surround the area are all family friendly...hiking, tubing, zip lining, etc. All fun stuff! The owner was very friendly & easy to work with. We ended up wanting to stay an extra day, didn't want to leave!

Hiking, tubing on the 'Hooch', biking, and relaxing are among our favorite mountain activities. As our guests, we hope that you, too, will enjoy all the benefits of our treasured mountain home!

We would like to extend a very warm 'welcome' to all of our guests! We enjoy sharing the privacy and solitude of our mountain home with our friends and family. It's a great place to entertain or to relax!

Our home site was chosen because of its peaceful wooded setting and its close proximity to the Alpine village of Helen. It offers the best of both worlds: the serenity of a private mountain home on 10+ acres of land and the nearby activities, shops, and restaurants in Helen. You can retreat from the world or you can go into Helen and enjoy all the festivities...it's your choice!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

From curling up by the fireplace to relaxing in the Hot Tub, it's a wonderful place to retreat from the daily hustle and bustle of work and life. We enjoy the spaciousness of the home, especially while relaxing in the Great Room or in the sitting area of the upstairs Loft overlooking the Great Room below.

Another favorite: sitting and drinking coffee on the covered balcony of the Master Bedroom Suite upstairs...so private and peaceful!

The two skylights over the king sized bed in the Master Bedroom Suite offer a nice view of the stars in the mountain skies, especially on clear or colder days. Nights with a full moon are a special treat!
