The CARRIAGE HOUSE is located on my property on a quiet cobblestone lined street in a gorgeous neighborhood with magnificent old homes. It is spacious and luxurious with a rustic flair. It was built in 1887 and renovated in 2000. It has been a retreat for my kids, friends, and family. Now I am offering it to YOU to enjoy! It is a fabulous reunion/party space! There are 3 BRs + Loft + Lots of couches, two full baths, 1 half bath, heated pool, 2 hot tubs, a private outdoor shower with hot water and 2 shower heads, basketball area, trampoline. The town of Englewood is filled with gourmet restaurants, cozy coffee shops, and wonderful shopping and is only a 7 minute walk away. Englewood's East Hill area is perfect for long runs, walks, & bike rides.
New York City is a 15 minute car ride away and there you can do anything & everything imaginable! Theater, Classical Music, Jazz & Rock Clubs, Ballet, Modern Dance, Museums, Zoos, Botanical Gardens, Times Square, Broadway, Madison Square Garden Events, Knicks, Jets, Giants, Yankees, Mets, Central Park, The High Line, Shopping, Dining, Bars, ETC...We will be happy to advise you on what to do!
You can spend your days lounging around the pool or be out and about and come home to a swim, sauna, steam, hot tub & a movie while shooting some pool!

The property was very unique with lots of extras amenities like hot tub, sauna, steam room, a pool table. We did not use it except for the pool table because our schedule was very busy. We originally book it for 12 but only 8 of us ended up staying over. But would have fitted 12 no problem. Lisa was very detailed and sent us how to videos for everything which I really liked. We had to deposit $3000 and even that was refunded quickly. One of us forgot her glasses and she sent it back as well. Overall, great place! Timely, Communication Well suited for a large group with plenty of things to do. The only thing I would say would be if you come with older adults and kids, make sure they are very careful with coming down the wrap around stair case since the bathroom with showers are all downstairs. Cute Funky little spot perfect for a girls trip!

We had an amazing time at this wonderful space. Lisa was such a great host. She checked in with us daily to make sure everything was running smooth. Her house had everything we could need and the perfect amount of space. Only wish we had made a little more time to hang out at the house so we could really enjoy all the amenities she has to offer. The yard, pool, hot tub, little fire pit, everything looked so fun. Will definitely have to come back and stay again. Would definitely recommend!

Paradise for those traveling with pets!

We stayed here with our 3 dogs between Christmas and New Years. It is in a gorgeous neighborhood of sprawling estate homes. This property had tons of room to spread out. The yard is HIGE and completely fenced in. The rooms are decorated with the photography work of the owner and other interesting pieces. Plenty to do on site and not too far from the city. Lisa was great and even let our dogs out to potty so we could relax traveling into the city for a show and dinner. We would love to stay here again for longer!

Girls birthday weekend

We arrived early at Lisaā€™s beautiful place and she was kind enough to let us in early. The place was perfect for a day in NY. We easily got an Uber and were taken into the city with no stress. Lisa recommended great restaurants which were amazing and was so helpful with other activities. The hot tub and sauna were a big hit. The house had everything we needed and more. We will definitely be back.

Patriots Game

Wonderful property in a very quiet neighborhood 20 minutes from Metlife Stadium. Lisa provided lots of very helpful information. We used the hot tub, steam room and sauna. The decor was very nice! We would definitely stay there again as it is very close to Metlife and also very close to NYC.

Great visit!

My friends and I planned a weekend trip to NJ and chose the carriage house as it was the perfect location and had a pool! Lisa was super responsive and accommodating. We had a hibachi chef come to the house which we highly recommend. The hot tub was perfect for a relaxing night! Would definitely visit again.

Family Thanksgiving

We had a great time celebrating Thanksgiving with our adult children in the Carriage house. The location was great - beautiful neighborhood in small town with easy access to all the things we did in NYC. Lisa helped us when we didnā€™t have all the right kitchen tools for our meal and worked with us on our schedule for her dog business. It was a real pleasure spending our special family time in this home - comfortable and so many things to do (we played ping pong and pool). Thank you Lisa for a great stay!

Great Weekend at Country Carriage House

The Country Carriage House was great for our long weekend adventure to New Jersey and New York. Location to the city was perfect. Lisa was a wonderful host and the lines of communication were always open. Any questions we had were answered immediately. Awesome Spot Close to NYC

We had a group of long-time friends looking for a place near Yankee Stadium and found the Carriage House. Lisa, the owner, was excellent to work with. When we arrived, she greeted us and showed how to use all of the features. The property itself has a lot of character and plenty of entertainment options. We already discussed a return trip in the future. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Place

This place was amazing and we all loved it. Our only regret is that the stay was so short (2 days). We would love to stay at the carriage house again and for longer. This place is loaded with amenities: Pool, hot tubs, sauna, steam room, pool table etc... We didn't get to use all of it as pool was amazing by itself. You might see deer on the streets casually strolling. Few of them were 20 feet away and not scared. Here in NH they are definitely far more skittish. Lisa let my daughter play with couple of little dogs and my daughter absolutely loved it. Overall I fully recommend. Everyone in my group complimented me for a great find!

Great Stay!

Myself and a group of buddies stayed for the weekend while hoping back and forth from NYC. We had plenty of space and the other amenities like the pool, hot tubs sauna etc are a nice feature. The general area was great as well. Lisa was very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend her place!

The Getaway of the summer!

This place is breathe taking. Itā€™s too good to be true. The entire place is like a fairy tale for humans and dogs! Everything from The pool to the laundry machines to the loft board games the family connected like no other. Partners got closer, laughs were shared and love was spread. We BBQā€™d and roasted some marshmallows while others shot hoops in the pool. We all boiled in the pools spa like a couple of lobsters lol! The sauna was great plus the steam room. All the directions were so easy to follow. Thereā€™s a towel count which helped alot!! We didnā€™t get the chance to play pool but thereā€™s always next time ! I had an amazing birthday get away with the family. I would def rent this place again even if itā€™s just got a day! The late check out sure helped up so much! Never knew there was such a pretty house. My service dog and her retired pals had such a wonderful time they ran and played. Swam in the pool and ate all the treats they could get. Only thing we were a bit scared of was breaking the spiral stares we are a clumsy family. But overall 10/10 would def go again. Lisa was a great host answered us quick her handy man andy asked us if we were okay during our stay super nice people. Lisa was also open to giving us a tour prior since she wasnā€™t going to be on the property to show us how things worked and she also recorded videos for us. Wonderful host and People !

Nice pool but be aware that it is a shared space

The pool was great and we spent a lot of time in it. The host gave clear instructions, was responsive, and Iā€™m sure would have been helpful had anything come up. The inside was pretty clean. However: the listing is not explicit about a few important things. The hostā€™s house is not only very close to the carriage house (the grill and outdoor dining is on the main houseā€™s back patio) but the pool is shared so expect the host to use it during your stay. The yard is also shared for use by the ownerā€™s dogs and her boarding business. Thankfully the owner was not there for our stay but we were worried upon learning this from the house rules post-booking. Also, because there is no access to the main room on the ground floor, there is only a cramped kitchen on that floor and the living space with seating is up the spiral staircase so it didnā€™t feel easily accessible. The grounds could be better maintainedā€”it looked like weeks of fallen leaves had accumulated on dirty patio cushions so we avoided them. There were also a few metal pipes with jagged edges sticking out of the ground around the pool that are concealed by grass - one adult stepped on one and cut her foot pretty badly. These things would not have bothered us as much at a more reasonable price point.

Great for large groups and communicative host

We had a great stay here for a friendā€™s bachelor party. The Carriage House can comfortably slept our group of 10, and we certainly could have fit a few more. Lisa is an excellent communicator and super helpful throughout your stay ā€” definitely respectful of guestsā€™ privacy, but provides some useful tips on how to best enjoy the space (sauna, steam room, pool/hottub instructions). The carriage house has a lot of character and is a bit of a quirky layout, but quite fun and very comfortable. The outdoor space is awesome for entertaining a group ā€” large yard, pool, basketball court. We also had a private hibachi chef come and cook for a group of 14 of us one of the nights, which was a ton of fun. Lisa let us set up a party space under the carport, which was a great way to stay dry while it was raining. Easy street parking as well.

Lisa your great and her home is amazing! From the space to the hot tubs and sauna we loved every minute of it! My kid played pool for the first time and the living space was just so comfy! I wanted to stay! Lisa your the greatest. Very accommodating and respectful. I appreciate you and your handyman who even helped us take out the trash when he didnā€™t have to. I would recommend for anyone. I had a blast as an adult and all the kids loved it too! Thanks Lisa šŸ˜Š

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful time, the house is clean and beautiful. Lisa met us at check in to take a tour of the house and show how to work the sauna, spa, hot tub and all the rest. The place is quiet and has everything you need from clean towels to kitchen appliances and supplies. We had a great time using the hot tub, out door shower, sauna and steam room, then cooling off in the swimming pool. We will definitely come back and visit Lisa's place soon! Thanks Lisa!!

BEST VACATION HOUSE WE HAVE EVER STAYED AT!

The carriage house is just amazing..so many amenities! Comfortable beds, big tv, pool table, hot tub, sauna, steam room...list goes on and on! Lisa has thought of everything! And driving to Manhatten was so easy...20 minutes and we are there in the city, yet the VRBO is an oasis..you'd never know how close to the city it is with its quiet neighborhoods filled with trees. This place truly is a find! And Lisa is so helpful and accommodating! Don't stay anywhere else!!

When I saw this property I instantly fell in love with it! We needed to live near Manhattan because my ex-husband worked in the city but we wanted to feel as if we are living in the countryside. The "Barn" as I call it, makes me feel as if I am in New England.
My house is on the front of the property and is a traditional center hall colonial with no den or rec room so we renovated the "barn" to house my art studio, and to be a hang out area for our kids, and a place where one day our children would want to come to visit with their own families. My kids are now adults living on their own so the "barn" is available to friends, family, and renters. I have since added a pool, hot tub, a basketball court, an outdoor zen shower, a pergola, a trampoline, brick and bluestone patios and paths, a small orchard, an enclosed vegetable garden structure, climbing rose trellises, wind sculptures, all surrounded by lush landscaping. The property is my paradise!

I live on the property and will be around unless I too am traveling. So if there are any questions or issues I am here to help. The outdoor spaces will need to be shared but I will give you as much privacy as possible. My art studio is located in the "Barn" but is accessed through a separate entrance. My dogs roam the grounds freely and they will love you! Often I watch other peoples' dogs too. I am always in touch w/ my guests & will coordinate backyard time for your enjoyment & privacy with with the dog excursions to the yard. One or two of your cars can be parked in my driveway & you may also park in the street in front of the property. The town of Englewood is a few blocks away and is a wonderful place to venture to. There is public transportation into Midtown Manhattan and to the George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal only a few minutes walk away.
