A property full of character over four floors, in a great location for access to the beach and town. Well equipped throughout, comfortable seating and beds, good hot water supply to showers and bath, the linen and towels were all in good condition.The two lounges proved very beneficial for us, the children loved having their own space.Arriving during a heatwave we struggled a bit as some windows couldn't be opened, but there were fans provided in every room.The working jukebox was a joy.The host was available and helpful.This lovely old house is not 'posh' but it is obviously loved and we thoughly enjoyed our stay in it and highly recommend it to anyone who wants a stay away with a 'home from home' feel.Our only problem was that there was no marble for the Mousetrap game, we'll bring one when we next visit, which we hope will be soon. :-)

Great location

Lovely house with a great location- Cromer is a wonderful seaside with a bit of everything for everyone and a regular hourly train service to Norfolk and Sheringham

This is a large conveniently located property in the heart of Cromer . Short walk to beach , cliff paths, Cliftonville Hotel ,Morrison supermarket , fish restaurants.

Brilliant Location

Large spacious house in a great location for beach and town. Plenty of room for our party of 8 adults and 6 children. Bedrooms spacious and beds comfy and having two lounges was a bonus, giving everyone abit of space. Would recommend.

Fantastic spacious property

The house was much bigger than it appeared in the listing provided ample space for our group of 14 adults. It was also very laid back with a great range of equipment, games, books etc allowing us to settle in and relax very quickly.

Great place

Lovely big house just seconds from the sea front. Everything you could ask for plus so much more. Grandparents, children and babies loved it equally. Pretty cool jukebox to boot. Excellent communication from hosts all through our holiday.

Lovely spacious family home

We had a great few days here as a family with teenagers and a couple of their friends. There is plenty of space indoors, the house is very comfortable and well equipped, it's walkable to the beach and town centre and everyone was happy! All communications were clear and we would definitely book again for another time.

Plenty of room and great location

Myself and five friends stayed at the house and throughly enjoyed our stay. Everyone had their own room (with one to spare) and the location of the property is absolutely perfect for exploring Cromer and the surrounding area. The house is very well equipped with everything you'd need. Clare, the host, is very responsive to questions/messages. We can't wait to stay again next year.

Lovely property with lots of space to accommodate our three families in a brilliant location right near the sea. We had fun using the house as a base to explore the local area and make use of the beach right on our doorstep. Good communication from Clare from the start right to the end. Thank you for having us

Excellent Holiday

Lovely property with everything you could need. Perfect location with plenty of room for all our family. The family room on the first floor with toys and dvds etc was a huge hit for my 3 year old twins and their cousins. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you will need with a large table so we could all eat together. Having a back courtyard which was secure was also an advantage so the children could play out safely and make the most of the beautiful weather. Not only were all the bedrooms lovely (very hard to choose which one to sleep in) the beds were so comfortable our whole party slept very well and wanted to take the beds home with us!

Outstanding

An excellent property, spacious, very well equiped and close to the sea. Plenty of room and cutlery etc when 12 of us sat down for a meal together. We especially liked having two sitting rooms; a childrens TV room and a quiet reading room. The art on the walls was particularly interesting and we especially liked the pictures (collages?) in the bathroom. Clare and the cleaning lady were very helpful especially in returning a library book to us which we had left behind in the "reading" room.

A fantastic weekend celebrating in lovely old Cromer

Thank you Claire for a fantastic weekend in Cromer, we had such a lovely time. The house worked so well for 12 of us which included a mixture of children, teens and adults. My mum had a lovely time celebrating her special birthday. We love Cromer for it's victorian seaside charm, everything was absolutely perfect and we look forward to coming again soon. Having Morrisons and the sea/beach on your doorstep was great as once parked no one had to move their cars, we had endless fun going in the amusements, walking on the cliffs to Overstrand and then just going to the pubs for a few 'swiftys'. Central position, generous space

This house provided very satisfactory accommodation for our family group of 13 for a week. It is in a very central position for shops, beach, pier etc.The two lounges were ideal for different interests. The outdoor area was great in good weather. Beds/rooms were comfortable & toilet/shower/bath facilities sufficient. Inevitably there are many steps between floors! We could have done with more kitchen storage & the layout between cooker/sink/fridge is not ideal, but we could sit at one table to eat together. Not all 'toilet' doors were easy to lock. However we had just the most amazing family time together in the one dwelling so were most appreciative of all that it offered. Thank you

Home from home for a weekend

Three generations ranging in age from 17 months to 70 years for a birthday weekend, accommodated under one roof in remarkable harmony. The house is very well equipped with pretty much everything you could dream of needing from toys for the little ones to tvs - though no wifi for 'those-who-must-be-connected'. The house was clean and welcoming when we arrived and comfortably absorbed us all. There is a Morrisons supermarket within 5 minutes walk and everything that you would expect from a seaside town in easy reach: a beach, a pier, a fun fair, an esplanade, ice creams, coffees, fish and chips, pubs, a walk to a lighthouse. The lifeboat museum is worth a visit, not least to learn about Henry Blogg. We did not touch the cars all weekend.

Good house for a big family holiday

Beds clean and comfy with good quality linen, but 3 bedrooms had broken sash cords so windows could not open - uncomfortable at night in July. Excellent sitting rooms but not very clean - thick dust under furniture. Very poor internet - tv reception impossible much of visit. Good quantity of china (though some was dirty), cutlery and cooking equipment, but only a 3 mug cafetiere - we had to buy a filter machine to provide for 9 adults. The freezer badly needed defrosting, there was old food in the oven and the highchair had to be scrubbed before use. The back door lock was faulty and we resorted to removing it. However this is a great place for a group holiday - just a pity it is rather rundown and needs attention to detail.

I'm sorry you couldn't open the windows, they need replacing which is on our to do list, in the meantime I have put fans in each of the bedrooms. With regards to cleanliness and the freezer. I can only sincerely apologise and I have taken this up with my cleaners. I will purchase another cafetiere, great suggestion. I was unaware there was a problem with the back door lock and could have had it replaced during your stay. Thank you again for you feedback.

Fantastic characterful house, ideally located for both beach and town.Really well equipped kitchen..2 toasters, 2 kettles, loads of crockery, glasses and cutlery.Street parking is not guaranteed but we managed to find spaces for 4 cars within a few metres and there is always a pay and display car park a few minutes away.A really good supply of books and games for all ages. The upstairs lounge became the kids playroom and the downstairs one was very comfortable for our 8 adults.Supermarket just 5 mins walk.Lovely beaches, some dog friendly.Large BBQ with all utensils provided.Safe, enclosed decked garden with plenty of tables and seating for all.We felt that the fridge was a little underpowered for the size of the house and didn't seem to be chilling stuff adequately but the owner dealt with this very quickly when we mentioned it, by buying an additional fridge, which definitely fulfilled our requirements!Just so many thoughtful touches...buckets and spades, crabbing lines, picnic rug, blankets, cool box.

Definitely recommend

Fabulous location and the house had everything you would need for a large group. The owners were easy to contact if you needed them and the rooms and bedrooms were large and comfortable. Would definitely stay again .

We bought the property in 2007 and spent a year restoring it.

The house offers easy access to all the amenities Cromer has to offer, such as the pier, shops, cafe's, restaurants, cinema, golf club and museum etc.

It has something for everyone.
