Especially recommended is the gentle climb up to Soumensac on Sunday lunchtimes during July and August when food and wine is served 'al fresco' by local traders. Get there early for a bench seat in the shade of the tress with fabulous views by over Le Rusthe and way beyond !

Or, you could try hiring an electric bike from 'Good Turn' Cycles in Eymet - mention Le Rusthe for a discount ! Regular road cycling or off-road 'VTT' is great fun for keen cyclists (it is hilly around Le Rusthe !), but electric bikes do make an amazing difference so that hills can be enjoyed rather than feared, bringing 2-wheeled trips to Eymet and Duras, or a whizz around the nearby Lac de L'Escourou within the range of the less fit.

Eymet is fast becoming an attractive location for eating and drinking. New restaurants and bars have opened in 2019/2020, including the hugely successful Peruvian specialist, 'Andine', competing with the ever popular 'Restaurant Italian des Arcades'.
