Located 900 m from a small village with shops, supermarket, pharmacy, doctors, restaurants, bars. 15 kms from Bergerac international airport and Bergerac train station. Very large main room/living room (90 sqm) with fully equipped open kitchen (2 ovens, dishwasher, microvawe, 2 fridges/freezer,blender, expresso machine, toater etc...), big fire place, another lounge/tv room on the mezzanine level with flat screen TV, DVDs, WIFI), 5 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (2 ensuite bathrooms), 3 toilets. Covered terrace/patio with outdoor teck table and chairs for 10 persons. Private swimming pool with automatic hard cover. We had a fantastic week greeted warmly by Marianne on arrival who gave us a thorough tour of the property to show us where everything was and how things worked. Her team kept the pool checked and clean through the week and ensured we had everything we needed. The house had good facilities and was well equipped. There were plentiful pool towels available. Situated 10 minutes walk outside Sigoulès, the village had everything one could need - boulangerie, small supermarché, bars, restaurants and pharmacie. A vibrant picturesque place with a Saturday morning market (no Friday evening market as we had hoped). Eymet a well worth while visit too. But most of the time, we were just happy by the pool or under the veranda! Hopefully, we shall return.

Lively relaxing holiday with lots to do & see

The house was lovely with a beautiful large garden & inviting pool (although a little froid at this time of year!). The house & kitchen were very well stocked & both Marianne & Odette were very nice, welcoming & helpful.

Swimming Oasis

We had a lovely family stay at Marianne's property. The pool area is amazing and she's offered one of the most equipped houses you could ever ask for. We managed to bake birthday cakes, BBQ, roast chicken and more - so it makes it really feel like home. Beds were comfortable and there's plenty of space and the outdoor areas are just lovely - such a serene setting and everything you need for some fun pool swimming and relaxing. It is the countryside so there were lots of bugs and mosquitos but I sense that's to be expected in August - bring bug spray. The village was also incredibly convenient - the local grocery has everything you need, the boulangerie was lovely (and a daily trip) and the local restaurants were great - all of it walkable. Would happily stay again!

A great week at a beautiful house

We loved the house, the garden, the pool. The house as well as the premises are spacious and very well-equipped. Nice furniture, with some real antiques, which is really nice. The roofed seating area outside overlooking the pool and the huge well-kept garden with so many beautuful plants and flowers is great. Peaceful and tranquil nights due to next to no traffic. Our dog loved the week too. Marianne is a wonderful uncomplicated hostess who willingly shared some good advice on restaurants, wineries and the like. We would deifinitely rent the house again if we were to return to the area.

Private peaceful location

The location of the property is beautiful and private with just a short walk to the local village which has a supermarket, 3 bars/snack bars, patisserie, a pertol station and a few other shops, very friendly locals. Its is also only 20 minutes from Bergerac which has everything you’d need. It is surrounded by vineyards, chateaus to visits and easy to drive to local villages and Pomport Beach is 5 minutes away. The pool is lovely and ideal in the hot weather. The house is a lovely stone farmhouse and whilst we liked the style, for us we didn’t feel the cleanliness was up to a high enough standard and the house and furniture smelt very musty and unused. The bedding felt old and needed to be upgraded to fresh crisp white linen. The garden area is in need of tidying and the pool area needs some weeding along with the sunbeds and seating area cleaned. The outside furniture is tired and the chair pads need replacing. There were a lot of cobwebs and flies everywhere and the kitchen was very cluttered and messy with food on the surfaces, we had to purchase cleaning items to give the kitchen a clean before use. It all felt like it needed some TLC to get it up to standard. The host, Odette was extremely lovely and helpful in advising us places to visit, she popped by twice to check the pool and although there was a language barrier Google translate helped us communicate. Whilst we loved the area and the style of the house we would not return at the current standard it is.

Tranquil location

We are just back from staying with family (3 couples) and a small dog, Marianne was very welcoming when we were greeted at property, her home was full of character and charm and beautiful landscape garden, about 10 minutes to walk to village (no path part of the way) supermarket had everything you needed , great local bar that also served food Friday and Saturday, only small thing there was no hotpool as stated , would definitely recommend

Piscine en pleine campagne

Nous y sommes allés entre amis. La maison se prête à ce genre de réunion. Tout était propre à l'arrivée, et les lits faits. La piscine face à la campagne est un vrai plus car il n'y a aucun voisin. Une belle decouverte!

The perfect family retreat

Lovely home away from home. Marianne was the perfect host, lots of help on text. Was on hand when there was a power outage in the village. Easy location to get to Bergerac and surrounding vineyards. The pool was amazing for the kids. The only thing we struggled with was the bbq…but I think that was down to our lack of patience!

A wonderful family holiday

What a beautiful house in wonderful surroundings! For our family holiday it was ideal- great kitchen, lovely outside eating area & great pool area. Excellent large space for groups to be together & make such wonderful memories. Enjoyed our daily walk into the bakery & supermarket which had everything we needed Marianne our hostess was brilliant -very friendly & extremely helpful especially when our travel plans were altered! So many great places to visit- Bergerac, Monbazillac, Eyemet( great galettes), Issigeac, canoeing on the Dordogne & of course the Sigoules village festival!! Thank you Marianne for all your recommendations & kindness

Fantastic Holiday

We stayed 10th June for 1 week and it was a most enjoyable week. The house is beautiful and has a wonderful pool and shaded dining area by the pool. It is like a home from home, decent kitchen, numerous bedrooms two of which have great ensuites. The family bathroom has a brilliant monsoon shower head, double sinks and a lovely bath. Living space is plentiful with a well sized downstairs space and a separate mezzanine which our young kids enjoyed to use as their den. It’s approx a 12 minute walk in to the village of Sigoules which has a few bars, restaurants, local supermarket, pharmacy, and wine shop. Thank you.

Great location and property

We rented this property to explore the Dordogne region of France. The indoor and outdoor features are very nice and enhanced our stay. The location was perfect for our day trips and wine tastings into the region. The nearby village is an easy 10 min walk for groceries, patisserie, or a bite to eat at one of the restaurants. There is fine dining nearby including Michelin restaurants. Overall, our best vacation life to date.

Location, Location and Pool

We were a party of eight. Two parents, two grandparents and four children. Everyone had a great time. The location is superb for those who want a rural setting without being in the middle of nowhere. The house was excellent. The best but for the kids was the large and friendly pool. They were rarely out of it. One of the grandparents arrived feeling unwell and the help given by Marianne and Odette was absolutely first class. We are so grateful for their kindness. And Sigoules itself is a beautiful and well kept village with a lot of amenities. Highly recommended!

Accueil minimaliste maison agréable

Maison globalement agréable avec quelques désagréments, un lit dont les lattes se sont démontées, un salle de bains commune sans loquet, robot de piscine en panne durant toute la semaine. L’accueil et réponses à nos demandes sans amabilité Dommage l’environnement est très agréable

Amazing

The accomodation was perfect for a group of friends. The location is peaceful and quiet, and only 10 minutes away by foot from nearest supermarket. Nice swimmingpool and plenty of space to play tennis or soccer. Marianne was a great host and made we had everything we needed. If we have the chance will definitely come back.

Beautifull House

This was exactly what we wanted, a lovely spacious house in a quiet yet beautiful setting. The views and the pool area were great, Walking distance to the local village with a lovely restaurant and a supermarket. We would definitely return!
