Apartment In Rock, Cornwall, England

4 Trelawney Court is a spacious ground floor apartment in a small development set back from the road. There are 3 bedrooms, two king size beds and a third with a set of bunk beds and a single bed. There is a main bathroom as well as a recently refurbished en suite for the master bedroom. There is a large open plan kitchen/ dining/ living room. The kitchen is new for 2020 and includes fridge freezer, dishwasher and washerdryer. Outside there is a courtyard garden area with a BBQ and patio furniture. It is perfectly situated for families to get to the beach (either at Porthilly or Rock) and enjoy all the activities (such as sailing, water skiing and kayaking) that Rock has to offer. Within a 5 minute drive of two of the Times Best Beaches (Epphaven and Padstow). For golfers, St Endoc Golf Course is a short walk away as is The Point at Polzeath. For surfers, Polzeath is just a short drive. For walkers and cyclists the coastal path is right on the doorstep as is the Camel Trail which you can access either from Padstow (via the pedestrian ferry) or Wadebridge. It is within walking distance of the wide range of shops and places to eat in Rock. The apartment is used as a family holiday home and so is well equipped for all ages.

Suited us perfectly

Really clean and comfortable property, a great base for visiting the coastline and surrounding places of interest. Easy to access and park, comfortable beds and very soft carpet! We loved the bakery down the road, great Cornish pasties and a fabulous salad bar.

Better than the photos

It was our first time to Cornwall..my husband and I from Australia and my sister, her husband and 27 year old son from London. Property much bigger than appeared in photo. Centre local …walking distance to pub and ferry to Padstow. Very clean. Issue with main shower when we arrived but soon fixed. Good communication with hosts. Would definitely stay again.

Fabulous Stay

We love the location of the house and now we have found a great place to stay. On arrival the house smelt clean and fresh with touches which made it warm and friendly. The rooms are of a very generous size so plenty of space to escape if you need to. The kitchen is very modern and the open plan dining and living is great for cooking whilst still being with the family. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back here and stay, if you’re thinking about booking, book, you won’t be disappointed.

A great base for local beaches with everything a family needs

Spacious, clean, well equipped, good parking. Rock has all the amenities a family needs, plus easy access to Wadebridge. And Rock itself has a great beach - calm so great for kayaking and SUP'ing. With a great shallow area for little ones to toddle in - not that ours are that small anymore. Easy and prompt communication with the host.

Lovely stay in Cornwall

Weekend away for a wedding

Perfect holiday home, great for staycation touring Cornwall. Comfy beds and sofas, and brilliant being able to park so easily (it can be tricky in Rock). Super places to eat v nearby (Pityme Inn literally 100m away, also has a village shop).

Excellent Xmas Stay

A lovely comfortable apartment. Close to family so would not hesitate to rebook. One observation,certainly not a complaint, the outside entry was very dark and could not find a light to see the step and lip of door.

Disappointed overall.

Property only surface clean, cobwebs and dust everywhere. We were without cooking facilities for three days gas leak, which was sorted fractured pipe wish I had called British Gas who would have responded immediately. Certainly hadn’t been hovered as Dyson wasn’t picking up brushes were full and blocked, which we put right. Went to use the grill not been cleaned. Windows windowsills and outside courtyard very dirty. Then the electrics tripped three times owner told us to climb on a dining chair to flip switch which was found above the kitchen units. Both our partners are 80 so down to me 67 needing a new knee, so packed and left a day early, leaving the apartment a lot cleaner than we found it. This apartment in our opinion was not deep cleaned as per COVID rules. We have been offered a £50 rebate. Would rather have had a lovely clean apartment as the area was beautiful and visited lots of nice places. Would return but not to this apartment which is a shame as very spacious and nice furnishings, with comfortable beds.

Home from home

An ideal location. Great off road parking, a big win in Cornwall. A very pleasant walk down to Rock passing some great local shops. The building is well maintained and feels like home from home. The owners are great and responsive to any questions you may have. We look forward to booking and staying again!

Lovely comfortable flat

This flat is beautifully appointed and equipped. It has the huge advantage of plenty of parking too. We had a very comfortable stay and would recommend this to anyone. One little problem we had was quickly sorted out. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Short Trip to Rock

A clean, well presented 3 bedroom ground floor apartment in St Minver, just outside Rock. The apartment has everything required for my stay and good WiFi. Would definitely come back again.

Great holiday

Lovely spacious apartment, clean, tidy and well equipped. Good location however we were a little unlucky as both nearby takeaways were closed for the week and the pubs had to be booked well in advance to get a meal. Managed to eat in a couple but neither were great. Very good location to head into Rock and multiple nearby coves. Really enjoyed everything

Cornish stay

Our visit to Rock!

Firstly, we absolutely loved this property. What surprised us the most was how large it is, the rooms are much larger than they look in the photos. The quality of the decoration and general feel was excellent from the moment we walked through the door. We’ve stayed in Rock lots of times and love the area. We would recommend Daymar Bay for swimming and surfing with kids as it’s very shallow and lots of lovely sand! I would also recommend downloading the RingGo car park app which makes paying for Rock beach car park so much easier. Overall a great property in a great location, we will book again.

We are Heather, Will, Billy and Poppy. We have tried to make 4 Trelawney a 'home from home', it is very well equipped and has lots to entertain the whole family. We find Trelawney very relaxing and peaceful and love being able to leave the car and walk to all that we need. We hope that you enjoy staying there as much as we do.

Trelawney Court provides easy access to local amenities and the array of beaches in the local area, yet it is peaceful being set back away from the road. The accommodation is flexible to suit families or groups and provides a good base for exploring the many delights of north Cornwall and beyond.

We love the ability to leave the car at home and walk to all that we need. We are spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches and can spend many a happy day with our young children just exploring the sand dunes and rock pools.
