Very disappointed with this guest. Within an hour of arriving she provided a list of complaints following a FULL inspection of our villa. The complaints were 1. Out of the 5 toilets in the villa, the spare toilet in the laundry room was not flushing properly and this would have had a detrimental effect on the enjoyment of her holiday. 2. Although there are air-conditioning units in all 4 bedrooms and the main lounge upstairs where the TV is, there was no AC unit in the kitchen area which would have had a detrimental effect on the enjoyment of her holiday. 3. There was a bird drooping on the top terrace which which have ruined the view of the coastline and sea. We have no control over the birds in Cyprus. Against our better judgment we offered to refund her fee with a deduction for the 14 hours she stayed. There was no contractual obligation to do so, but she complained about this as well. We are very very disappointed and would not be happy to have her back. This is the first time in 20 years when we would decline a guest.

Hello John. Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry that the construction works two villas down from us ( about 200m away) interfered with your holiday. As you said, I was surprised to hear of the building works and when I checked with the previous guests they confirmed that it had started whilst they were there. Construction projects are commonplace in Cyprus but fortunately the pace of private construction is often fast. Both Afzal, our local agent, and myself responded to your emails regarding the construction and some other matters which were addressed where possible except the building works over which we unfortunately had no control. As I have already said in a previous email, we will be informing potential guests about the construction further down until such time that it has been completed.

Thank you for your review. We so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Villa Elleysi. There a few convenience stores in the village for daily provisions but you're right in that the large supermarket is just down the hill.
