Lovely little cottage, slight sea view from bedroom, internal doors need some work, pillows could be better, oven could do with a thorough clean,back garden needs a bit of a tidy up to make it a nicer space.Overall a lovely stay and perfect for what we needed.

Deal delight

Deal is becoming like a second home and this property suited us perfectly. Close for our early morning swim, to join parkrun and then enjoy the delights of Deal. The Court Yard is a must.

Very comfortable pretty cottage in fab location

Great stay one street back from beach. Cottage was lovely with everything you could possibly need. Cosy beds with good quality linen and comfortable lounge. A lovely touch was dog treats,bowls and balls for throwing supplied. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants and pubs. We loved our stay and would recommend Lifeboat Cottage. Excellent fireworks by pier made our New Year. If we are in area again would definitely rebook here. Thankyou Mark and your wife for the lovely cake to welcome us. Just a note to people less able than us that stairs are very steep, no problem for us but maybe not so good for the elderly or people with mobility problems.

Hit and Miss

Was a great location and the check-in was easy with the supplied lock box, although the front door lock was a bit fiddly. The beach was a literal stones throw away and there was a great view of the RNLI station from the bedroom window. As a location, it was great and was fairly easy to park outside or close by without having to pay. There were a few small issues that spoilt the stay. There was no soap in the downstairs bathroom and no replacement available. There were only 4 teabags, the sugar and coffee were rock hard and contaminated and mixed up. There was a bag for a hairdryer in one of the bedroom drawers but no actual hairdryer. The pullout we used in the 2nd bedroom in case our little one fell out of the main bed was not very clean and was covered in hair and some of the mugs and plates were dirty. There was no way of locking the bathroom or toilet doors for privacy as the locks did not line up. A great location but rough around the edges.

Be very wary of renting your holiday cottage to this guest. It was left in the worst condition anyone has left any of our cottages.

Schönes Haus in einem sehr schönen Ort

Die Räume sind sehr gut aufgeteilt und es lässt sich dort sehr gut urlauben. Das Cottage liegt sehr nah am Meer und aus einem Schlafzimmer hat man sogar Meerblick. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt und können die Unterkunft ohne Einschränkungen weiter empfehlen.

Anniversary break in Walmer

We rented the cottage for 4 nights in June and were lucky to be blessed with good weather. Property itself was exactly as described and offered fantastic accommodation for our short stay. There were lots of nice touches such as the provision of some lovely cakes and some milk in the fridge. The tv (including Sky) and internet access were great. Location yards from the beach front and shops. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the property.

'Lifeboat Cottage' June 2022

The Cottage/Terrace was ideal for up to three pers +small dog. Decoration and funiture was in good condition,with plenty of added pictures and ornaments. TV's, with Netflicks Sky and Wifi for phones etc. The friendly host is easy to contact will give advice if you have a problem.easy to contact Parking can be a bit tight! Usually a slot can be found when the renovation teams have gone home!. Seem buyers are being attracted to the houses as a good investment. The sea front is close by, with wide macadam paths (no bumps and lumps) stretching for miles. Ideal for walking, walking the dog, cyclists and ideal for mobility scooters users. I would go back again to this area again for a holiday.

Lovely cottage, great location

It's a really nice, comfortable and well-equipped cottage close to the sea and in a delightful area. Comfortable beds and bedrooms, nice and clean, very well equipped kitchen. Plenty of space to sit. We really enjoyed staying in Lighthouse cottage. Great walks from Walmer and dog-friendly beaches to hand.

Yellow delight and parkrun bonus

Very comfortable, with all the amenities needed for a week away from home. Plus it's very close to Walmer parkrun for any tourist.

A wonderful cottage just off the seafront

Lifeboat Cottage was great! Homely and warm with everything you could want on a break away to the seaside. Mark was a great host and made us feel so welcome - we would definitely return!

Entspannter Urlaub im Lifeboat Cottage

Gut ausgestattetes gemütliches Cottage in unmittelbarer Meernähe. Für Tagesausflüge nach London, Dover Castle, Canterbury ein guter Ausgangspunkt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Perfect Location

Booked a last minute short break at Lifeboat Cottage. Really enjoyed our stay, cottage had everything we needed and was within easy reach of shops, bars and restaurants. Hope to stay for longer next time.

Wir hatten eine super Zeit in diesem Ferienhaus!

Als wir ankamen, waren wir schon ganz hin und weg von der liebevollen Dekoration und der geschmackvollen Einrichtung. Den Schlüssel bekamen wir persönlich überreicht und uns wurde in einem kleinen Rundgang alles gezeigt und erklärt. Im Kühlschrank wurden wir mit einem Sahnekuchen und frischer Milch willkommen geheißen und auch für die Kinder gab es eine schokoladige Überraschung. Das Haus war sehr sauber und wir hatten hier alles, was wir für unseren Aufenthalt benötigten. Auch unsere Hunde fühlten sich wohl. Die Nähe zum Meer ist perfekt und morgens mit einem Blick aufs Wasser wach zu werden, lässt den Tag doch noch gleich viel besser beginnen. Wir können uns gut vorstellen, nochmal hier Urlaub zu machen. Danke :-)

Beautifully clean and stylish cottage, well placed by the beach in Walmer.

Lifeboat Cottage is perfectly situated for enjoying all the fun that the Kent seaside has to offer. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and look forward to coming back soon. Many thanks to Mark for greeting us and making us feel welcome.

Home Away From Home

We came here for 2 weeks from Ontario, Canada, for an extended family reunion with family in the UK and from Australia. The cottage is immaculately clean, well designed and has everything you could possibly need to make it an enjoyable stay, and there are so many thoughtful touches. Upon arrival, there was tea, coffee, milk and sugar and a fresh cream cake in the fridge! The beds are very comfortable, and there is lots of wardrobe and drawer space. We were able to make supper for family (5 at a time!) and the kitchen has everything you would need. The location is great - you can see the Lifeboat building from the front bedroom window, and it is within walking distance of shops, seafront and restaurants. The Stag pub is literally almost opposite, and it has a courtyard type garden at the back that the family made use of. Buses run to Canterbury and Dover, and the bus stop is very close to the cottage. It is a ten/fifteen minute walk to the town centre (depending on how fast you walk and whether you go direct, or meander along the seafront). The Zetland pub is a long walk or short drive away, and the food is great. Best fish and chips was Mario's along the Strand. Great Indian food at Namaste, which is on the Dover Road. We loved every minute of our stay and would certainly come back if we ever needed a place to stay in Walmer.
