"Vecchia Luna apartment, Lenno" is a modern apartment in Lenno, one of the most popular and warmest villages on the Lake, on the favoured west side.

The property is located off a quiet secondary road within the much sought after town of Lenno close to the lake and village centre where all amenities, shops, banks, bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance (200m). The apartment is approximately a 3 minute walk to cafes, pizzerias, supermarkets, bus routes and lake tours. More restaurants, bars, a gelateria and shops can be reached on foot in approximately 5-10 minutes, as well as the beach Lido, restaurant and bar. The Lido is a popular place in the day for beach lovers and equally as popular in the evening when it is transformed at sunset into a plush bar ideal for aperitif and then into the evening for restaurant food and lastly open air disco.

There are 2 ferry stops in Lenno and Campo, both within walking distance of the apartment. Boat hire is available where you can reach Villa Balbianello (007 Casino Royale), this is recommended as the view should not be missed. Richard Branson's Villa Cassinella is also located here in Lenno. Tourist villages such as Menaggio, Tremezzo, Bellagio and the town of Como are a ferry ride away. Menaggio and Tremezzo can also be accessed by the local bus, or tourist train, which departs from Lenno and is a fun way to travel. You can also walk to the 'Greenway' (less than 2 minutes from the apartment) which is ideal for walking along Lake Como and taking in the views. There is a golf course and horse riding within 7 km and further afield there is windsurfing (20 km) and ski resorts (150 km).

The apartment is approximately 1 hour from Malpensa & Linate Airports in Milan and 1.1/2 hours from Bergamo airport. BA, Easyjet, Fly BMI and Ryanair are carriers. Car hire is not essential from Malpensa as you can take the train to Como and then catch the boat to Lenno or take the local bus. However we do recommend car hire to help you enjoy all of the beautiful places you can visit in and around Lake Como.

Lake Como Holiday

The property is in a great location easy walk down to the small town of Lenno. We loved having 2 balcony’s to choose to have our meals with great views. Lenno is a nice place to stay, much more peaceful than the bigger towns on the lake and has a nice market on Tuesdays

Lovely apartment with wonderful balconies on both sides so always shade to sit in

This is a lovely apartment with views across to the lake at the front and of a typical Italian courtyard at the back. The best thing is that there are windows and balconies on both sides so always a table and chairs to sit at in the shade and a breeze going through the apartment. Lovely living area and nicely furnished. Lenno itself is very quiet with just a couple of nice restaurants but not a single shop to browse round. However, taking the ferry to Bellagio is easy and well worth the trip. Also lots of other towns to visit. Easy walk to the ferry and very uncrowded. Lovely and quiet at night. Nice pool but no shade whatsoever and no umbrellas to hide under. Good supermarket nearby. About 10 minutes walk into the town. All boat trips fun and worth doing but not much to do in Lenno itself.

Lenno is a beautiful, tranquil village, great for relaxing at the lido cocktail lounge, the only golden sand man made beach here on the lake, visiting Villa Balbianello, setting for 007's Casino Royale and Star Wars and enjoying the restaurants, pizzeria's and bars along the lake front and around the village. Hence it is one of the most popular destinations for weddings due to it's unique location and views as well as a home to famous neighbours such as Richard Branson. Weekly food and cloth markets take place all year of a Tuesday here in the centre of Lenno with regular festivals, this weekend pizzocheri pasta and polenta as well as music and fireworks...you must come back Sophia and see for yourself, you will be very welcome! There are more touristy villages with more shops to be found close by in Tremezzo alongside the main road and Menaggio however for tranquility and beauty we think nothing beats Lenno. New umbrella for the pool coming soon! Thank you for your valued feedback.

Schöne, saubere und gut ausgestattete Wohnung in sehr guter Lage zur Stadt Lenno, alles fussläufig in rd. 10-15min. erreichbar. Guter Pool, alles sehr sauber. Großer Parkplatz für das Auto, auch für größere Autos mehr als ausreichend Platz.Ein sehr gut sortierter Supermarkt ist fussläufig in 5-10min Entfernung vorhanden. Die 2 Balkone der Wohnung sind sehr angenehm, da - insbesondere an heißen und sonnigen Tagen (und die gab es genug in diesem Sommer) - sowohl immer Schatten auf einem der beiden Balkone ist als auch eine leichte Brise durch das Wohnzimmer/ Küche geht. Für die Schlafzimmer wäre allerdings - insbesondere wenn zukünftige Sommer ähnlich heiß werden - eine Klimaanlage anstelle von Ventilatoren zu empfehlen, da diese Zimmer keine Durchluft haben und doch sehr warm werden können. Es gibt Ventilatoren, aber die helfen dann nur wenig. Die Kommunikation mit der Agentur war klasse, immer erreichbar und hilfreich bei Problemlösungen.

Alles soweit in Ordnung. Klimaanlage wäre Vorteilhaft.Achso, der Standort für die Müllentsorgung ist viel zu ungenau. Wir sind mit Müllbeutel durch die Straßen gezogen und erst durch den Hinweis eines Bewohner haben wir es gefunden.

Sehr schöne Wohnung

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet. Man hat einen super Blick auf den See. Supermarkt und Promenade sind zu Fuß gut erreichbar.Leider hatte der Veranstalter eine falsche Nummer von uns, deshalb wussten wir nicht wie wir an den Schlüssel herankommen. Nach einigen Telefonaten hat sich aber alles geklärt.Backofen und Roste waren sehr dreckig. Für eine Familie fehlte uns eine Salatschüssel und eine größere Pfanne. Aber ansonsten was alles da. Ein Geschirrspüler wäre nicht schlecht.Ich kann die Wohnung auf jedenfall weiterempfehlen.

Hübsche Wohnung mit Pool

Komfortable Wohnung mit gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Zwei Balkone, ruhige Gegend, Nutzung des schönen Gemeinschaftspools. Man muss beachten dass es keine Klimaanlage gibt und einige Stufen zur Wohnung führen.

Excellent Location, Beautiful Views and Relaxing!

We were a party of 3 and had a wonderful holiday staying in the ‘Vecchia Luna’ apartment. The apartment itself is modern, bright and has a very relaxing feel, with a great lake view. It is excellently located to enjoy the restaurants, bars and beach lido in Lenno, while still being within walking distance to the boats, buses and express train for visiting the other, more touristy villages around the lake. The local contact was Gemma who couldn’t have been nicer, she was very helpful and gave us lots of useful information about Lenno and Lako Como. The apartment was very well presented with excellent facilities and lovely hosts that made the holiday even more enjoyable. Elaine and Rennie were very helpful and answered any questions we had promptly and offered us a list of places to go and things to do. You can really tell that they have put a lot of love and care into the apartment decor and finishing touches. We will definitely be back to stay again on our next visit to Lake Como! Thanks again, we had a ball.

Lovely apartment with great views

This was a lovely property very near Lenno centre, just 10 minutes walk down hill. It was beautifully furnished with comfortable beds and shutters on all the windows. It's got an amazing view of Lake Como from the front balcony, and a nice view of a little square and mountains from the back. The kitchen is well stocked. The only thing missing is a freezer or ice box in the fridge. The shared pool is big but quite deep (about 1.2m throughout) so not great for non-swimmers. We liked the location and being a little bit away from the other apartments so you're not overlooked by your neighbours. We'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

At "Vecchia Luna apartment, Lenno" the photos and views speak for themselves. The swimming pool and proximity to the lake is a real attraction for our guests. The home is located modern and comfortable living space inside and out. Most of the apartments at this residence are only used for holidays so the pool is often not busy hence many returning guests. Easy secure parking and just a short walk down to all amenities from restaurants and bars to ferry to access the whole lake and supermarket. Villa Balbianello, scene of Casino Royale 007, and Star Wars is also located here in the village within walking distance of the property as well as he golden sand beach at Lido di Lenno.

Ideally located between Argegno and Menaggio in the golden triangle and sunniest part of the western side of the lake, Lenno is easily accessible to reach the while lake with regular ferry service located here in the village. Highlights include local market's with superb local produce and seasonal ingredients, the golden sand lido di lenno to take in the sun, enjoy a cocktail or dinner or cool off in the lake, authentic wine and cafe bars and superb home made gelateria to name just a few benefits. In short we offer more then letting our holiday home. We offer a unique insight into living like a local here on the lake to ensure you get the very most from your stay from the minute you arrive ensuring an unforgettable and personal experience.
