This home is gorgeous! 2 story with 1 bedroom and 1.25 bath on the main level, along with the attached garage, laundry room, beautiful kitchen, family room with majestic fireplace, dining room and spacious deck off the back complete with outdoor furniture and Traeger Grill! 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on upper level, along with a complete game room, work out room/office and library. This home features all of the comforts of home! The owners have tried to provide everything you will want for your stay, and if there is anything that you can think of during your stay that would be beneficial, please don't hesitate to leave a note in their guest book! Please note there is no shellfish harvesting from the beach area in front of the home as it is owned by another party and guests are asked to stay off of the oyster beds and the beach during low tides. You would need to go to a public area. Please note that guests are required to complete the rental agreement attached, along with the 2 ID items listed on page 3 of the agreement within 24 hours of booking.

Great spot on the water!

Really enjoyed our stay. Lots of room to spread out for a larger group. The views of the water are amazing. Great well stocked kitchen and hosts were wonderful.

Relaxing and Fun!

This is our second time staying here. I loved sipping my tea from the balcony off the master bedroom so much that I had to stay here again. The view is amazing! It's right on the water and plenty of room for family. My kids were thrilled to have their own bedrooms and they enjoyed the playroom as well. We were able to cook our own meals there because the kitchen has everything you need. A fantastic place to stay!

2024 Summer Vacay

The house was clean and was exactly as advertised. Lots of space for people. The beds were very comfortable. A huge shout out to Kim for her responsiveness to any of our requests and concerns. If you are looking for a great Family place, this is it. Thank you Walter Family for sharing this home. And Thank you Kim for everything you did for us. This was a great vacation.

Right on the canal and plenty of room for friends/family

We come to WA every summer to visit with family and friends. This was the perfect place for all to come visit us. The home has lots of room to spread out and the back deck was perfect for enjoying the view. PROS: spacious, kitchen well-equipped, grills outdoors, great water pressure in shower. CONS: STEEP driveway and could only accommodate a few cars, Main bedroom bed frame had hair (human and dog), main bathroom has window and had to use small round mirrors to get ready with, no instruction on the Nest brand thermostat so it was VERY cold the whole time, no instructions how to use the espresso machine.

Great Spot

Beautiful spot. Property manager answered questions promptly and was great with. House is in need of some TLC. Lots of bulbs out, lots of light switches that don't work. Whatever they're paying the housekeeper, it's too much. Home has lot of rooms! Along with the 3 bedrooms, the office and bonus room are very large and have doors. Kitchen is completely furnished. How do you like your coffee? They have the right appliance for that! Would definately recommend.

Relaxing stay

Kim was wonderful to work with! Our only drawbacks were that some of the advertised water toys had holes and were unusable, and a few house details needed addressing (e.g., burned out lightbulbs) Overall great stay!

A comfortable stay in a spacious house

Our family of 7 had an awesome stay at this lake house. Our kids enjoyed the game room and the toys. We enjoyed the office space and the library. The rooms are big, and our kids enjoyed the double shower in the master bath. The kitchen is well equipped and we love the view from the deck. The sunsets are gorgeous. The icing on the cake were the seals and bald eagles that we got to see form the deck. Belfair state park is close by and loads of easy trials around the area to explore. Rainer, Olympic National park, hurricane ridge all are day trips from this location. All in all, a great stay!

4th of July Stay

House was clean and well supplied. Driveway is super steep and a bit of a challenge to get turned around in. Loved taking the kayaks out but could only do so at high tide. Overall a very nice place.

Great vacation!

The property was as advertised and we had plenty of room to spread out and relax. We enjoyed the peace and quiet as well as the nice water view. The check-in process/check-out process was so easy! Thank you for everything!

Comfortable home with many amenities on Hood Canal

Overall satisfaction with amenities and properties. Parking could be an issue with a steep entrance and limited space for vehicles. Amenities abound such as every form of coffee maker possible! Some disappointment in cable coverage for TV. We were very comfortable with lots of space for activities in the house. We enjoyed using the telescope!

New Year’s Family Gathering

Wonderful waterfront home on Hood Canal with a view of the snow-capped mountains, close to family and the town center. We hosted our future in-laws in this well appointed home that was welcoming and inviting. Open concept first floor with a wonderful kitchen, large dining table, and rock faced fireplace as a focal point over looking the hood canal. A wonderful place for hosting a small family gathering over the New Year holiday. All our guests had a private bath. Spectacular view! Non-contact check-in. Responsive property manager. Excellent communication. Very clean and well appointed property. Wonderful memories made to include an engagement! How wonderful!

Amazing views and tons of space

We stayed here for the Christmas holiday and couldn't have been happier. Communication with Kim was the best of any VRBO trip we've had. The home was beautiful and right on the water. Gave us a very memorable holiday 2021! 10 stars. Maybe a couple of things to know (for us older folks) there are three large steps into the home and the stairs to the second floor are to be noted. Otherwise very easy to get around. LOADS of towels and supplies - no tin foil or saran wrap that we could find but we didn't look everywhere probably. Thanks to Kim and the homeowners for a great stay. We even got snow for the second half of our stay and they sent the greatest handyman to clear the driveway for us!! Caleb was a savior in helping us get out of the steep driveway. Can't wait to stay again in 2022! Two more super minor things: adjusting the hot water heater and operating the TV were a bit of a challenge. We figured them out eventually. Thanks a million for sharing your home! Ed and Family

Fabulous PNW Getaway

This was the perfect property for our family time together on the Hood Canal. The home is even nicer than appears in the photos. We had a view out of the master bathroom, master bedroom, and office, as well as a private terrace off the master. The home is located at the toward the end of the canal and the shallows waters were quite warm. We enjoyed swimming every day when the tide came in. The lawn was perfect for playing outdoor games. Our adult children brought a spikeball set. We also brought our own inflatable kayak and paddleboard, which we used every day. They left instructions on where to dig clams approximately 10 min away. The place to purchase a shellfish license was just down the road and we had a wonderful clam feast one evening. The home is located very close to Belfair and not too far from Allyn. There is a fully equipped kitchen and we cooked almost every evening, however there are many restaurants nearby for those who prefer to go out. We will be booking this home again. Thank you for the fabulous and memorable stay!

Great for families

This was a really great place to stay with my family over the Labor Day weekend. I was very fortunate to have found this amazing house right next to the water. Kim, the property manager, was incredibly accommodating to address any issues that came up. There was ample space for everyone to settle in and be comfortable.

Beautiful home on the Hood Canal.

We greatly enjoyed are stay at this property. The home is well maintained and the property is right on the beautiful Hood Canal. We were grateful for the air conditioning, because we stayed during a record heat wave.

Better Than Advertised

Very spacious and better in person than on line. Also, very close proximity to grocery stores, state parks, but really, you don't need to leave as you can kayak and hang out in the front yard or in the house because they have so many activities provided. One thing that needs to be mentioned is that the property manager was extremely accessible and excellent to communicate with before and when we got to the rental and I hadn't looked at my check in information thoroughly. She called and texted right back to me even though she was on her way to her own vacation.

a lovely spot for time away

We enjoyed our time at this property. It felt like a bit of a man-lair, but that wasn't problematic. We loved having crackling fires almost every night, but having a fire made the house smoky every time (it doesn't have a great chimney draw), so if you have respiratory issues, this likely isn't the place for you. Great to sit and watch the water, birds, and mountains all morning with a hot cup of coffee (this house sports several different ways for brewing your morning java if you're into that!).
