Elegant apartment in the heart of Taormina mare with amazing view!

This beautiful apartment is located in front of the stairs for go to the beach of the beautiful bay of Mazzarò and about 100 meters from the stairs for go to the famous Isola Bella. This nice apartment consists of a bedroom with air conditioning and ceiling fan, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with flat screen TV and air conditioning, a bathroom and a terrace with view over the bay of Mazzarò and the beautiful coastline, perfect for organize lunches and dinners outdoors, for relax with a good book or with a glass of good wine. It is possible to access the terrace from the living room and from the kitchen. Upstairs there is also a second seafront terrace, around 40 mq, equipped with a big gazebo and outdoor sofas. From this terrace is possible to enjoy an amazing view over the bay of Mazzarò, the wonderful coast and, when the visibility is good, it' s even possible to see a part of the Calabria coast. It is possible to reach this terrace through the stairs located outside, next to the entrance door. The apartment is equipped with air conditioning, flat screen sat TV, washing machine, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and wifi.
The kitchen is equipped with all necessary appliances and accessories. Linen is included.
Within a few steps from the apartment you can find the following services: pharmacy, groceries, different bars and restaurants, free and equipped beach, ATM, canoe and jetsky rental, taxis, public and tourist buses, funicular, post office , free and fee parkings.
It's recommended to reach the city of Taormina with the funicular, open every day from 8am to 1pm. The funicular is reachable in 1 minute by walking, leaving the house on the right for 30 meters and then you will find the Piazza della Funivia on your right. The tourist bus stop is located along the main road opposite the Piazza della Funivia. Taxis are located in the Piazza della Funivia.
The centre of Catania is 50 km from the apartment, Catania airport 60 km, and they can be reached by the same bus or by taxi. The bus station is located in Taormina and you can easily reach it with the funicular.

Parking is a nightmare

I’ve been to Italy before and I know parking can be an issue. That’s why I specifically asked the host about the parking. I was assured that there is “plenty of free parking 50 meters away”. While there is a free parking lot close by, there is rarely a free spot open. If you have a car, expect to be driving around the lot hoping someone will leave and you can get the spot before someone else does. Count on doing this for a good 1/2 to 45 minutes when you come back to park. The property itself is functional at best. It is small, with cabinets about the quality I’d have in my basement for storing tools. It wasn’t all that clean, and needs updates and painted. The location is great. Walking distance to Isola Bella, the funicular to get to Taormina, etc. So, if you’re looking for a place with an old beach house vibe, in a good location and won’t have a car, it’s fine.

Beautiful View in Taormina

Lovely apartment with a spectacular view of the bay of Mazzarò. Wonderful restaurants just steps away, along with many shops for food, wine and supplies. Lots of cafes for breakfast and aperitivo. The funivia is around the corner to take you up to the old town. Rodolpho was an excellent host with great communication on WhatsApp. He offered recommendations for restaurants and day trips in the area. Ristaurante de Giovanni around the corner is a must do for fabulous food and a picture perfect view Isola Bella.

Great terrace and lovely location

Stayed there for some days very much off season and was what was looking for then -not in Taormina but close and with great sea view. Fairly basic amenities but good enough if know where are going. Excellent help from host to arrange things -especially was able to do a trip to Piazza Armerina after from Catania.

Mazzaro Bay Visit

The apt is in a perfect location to enjoy the entire area and all it has to offer with an exceptional view.. Just steps to wonderful beach, restaurants, market and the funivia up to the rest of Toarmina. The apt offers all the basic needs and the host Rodolfo is wonderful. He is most helpful and interested in making our visit as pleasant as possible with wonderful restaurant suggestions. Definitely a great place to stay.

Beautiful Position in Taormina

The apartment is clean and comfortable. Although we did not meet Rodolfo face to face, his directions and communication on WhatsApp made the visit easy. The highlight of the apartment is the view from the large balcony. It is breathtakingly beautiful. 100 meters down the road is the funicular which takes you to the old town……so easy. Many restaurants are at you convenience but our favourite was Ristaurante de Giovanni overlooking Spiaggia di Isolla Bella. Book the day before for a table on the front. Everything at Rodolfo’s apartment is functional. Perhaps a plumber could look into getting more pressure in the shower. But overall we loved the stay and will definitely book again next visit to this beautiful part of Sicily.

Beautiful view, nice restaurants in walking distance. Great little store for fresh bread, pastries, cheese, wine etc. parking on street not readily available but parking area close by, easy walking distance. the apartment was comfortable, albeit very small shower.

incredible views, great host

This is a perfectly located apartment with wonderful views and easy access to Taormina. Spacious balconies on two levels. So nice it's hard to want to leave the apartment for the nearby beaches and other towns. Rudolfo was very helpful, friendly and flexible with check in and check out.

It is April 2020 and we had to postpone our visit due to Corona. Rodolfo was very nice and flexible with the new arrangements, so we are looking forward to a great visit in Sicily when it is possible again to travel. Although I still did not visit, I give 5 stars to everything. Am sure it will hold up!

Mazarro Bay Apartment

We were very pleased with this quaint apartment... Location - Ideal for Taormina, close to beaches, gondola, stores, many restaurants, coffee shops, Blue Sea Diving, Giardini della Villa Comunale (fantastic community park with views of Mt Etna and the Ionian Sea - bring a camera) and gift shops. Views - Spectacular Colorful Ionian Sea Sunrises, Fantastic bay settings (from the main level deck, living room, kitchen and upper level deck.) You will need a camera here too. Environment - Very Relaxing. easy access to everything you would want to do... Management - willing to work with your specific needs, has some great suggestions for all.

Lovely apartment in Taormina a Mare with ocean view

This apartment is clean and very convenient at the base of the funicular. Easy access by bus from main station or train. Apartment has lovely terrace off the kitchen and a second story patio with comfortable furniture and great view. Rodolfo went out of his way to give us dining recommendations, places to visit and instructions on travel. He was very quick to answer any questions and was a great help. The only issue is the bed is very firm as are the pillows, which my husband actually enjoyed. I would very much recommend this apartment, especially for the budget traveler.

Sehr gut gelegene Ferienwohnung, sehr netter Vermieter, Balkon mit hervorragender Aussicht

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und freuen uns, dass Rudolfo so ein sympathischen Vermieter ist. Die Ferienwohnung hat einen unglaublich schönen Ausblick vom Balkon und liegt fast direkt an der Seilbahnstation nach Taormina. Die Wohnung ist sonst zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Die Betten sind gut. In der Küche ist alles, was man zur Selbstversorgung braucht, vorhanden. Bei Schlechtwetter würde man sich in der Wohnung über bessere nicht durchgesessene Sitzmöbel sehr freuen. Für uns war der Aufenthalt bei durchgehendem warmen Wetter wunderbar und wir werden noch oft daran zurückdenken und auf die Gastfreundschaft von Rudolfo.

Home away from home!

We were very comfortable here. You are right in the centre of Mazzarò. The funicular is a 5 minute walk which takes you to Taormina; the views are spectacular. Rodolfo is a charming host but does not intrude. The apartment has everything you need and you just have to top items up if they run out (toilet paper). There are little supermarkets within walking distance but if you have a car, there is a very nice shopping centre in Giardini Naxos down the road (parking can be tricky near the apartment). There are plenty of beaches; some are free but if you want a sunbed and umbrella then be prepared to pay. In Mazzarò they are expensive, 30-40 Euros. We found a lovely place about 10 minutes drive up the road, Lido Paradise, which charged 15 Euros and it was quite peaceful. What I especially enjoyed at the end of the day was sitting on the terrace, sipping a wine and enjoying the beautiful scenery. We had a lovely holiday, thank you Rodolfo.

This is your view and more!

This little apt is just across the busy street from a gravel beach for which you pay 10 euros for a comfy beach lounge and umbella and handsome friendly cabana boys to serve you. We went every day...loving the ocean view and fancy hotels nearby. A terrific mom n pop mini mart is next door with the finest olives salamis strawberries wine....the works. Nice cafes with ocean views and not expensive either. Stairway to beach is right across street but not clearly marked. Air con worked fine with a great ceiling fan in bedroom which is quiet despite busy street...not good for walking. Take the bus to Castlemola...it is fabulous. Bring extension cords and splitters as nowhere in Italy has convenient or adequate outlets. The shower is tiny but thats typical too. The terrace is large and much more than you would get in a hotel. Highly recommend and Rodolpho is great to work with. Concerned and helpful. May was perfect weather too.

Perfekte Urlaubslokation mit Panorama-Meerblick

Schon bei der Ankunft konnten wir es kaum glauben, dass die Wohnung wirklich so Strandnah ist. Atemberaubender Panorama-Meerblick und wunderschöne Terasse/Balkon mit viel Platz zum Sonnen/Mittag-/Abendessen. Den Verkehr auf der Straße nimmt man nach 2 Tagen garnicht mehr wahr. Das Schlafzimmer liegt nach hinten und bietet die notwendige Nachtruhe. 50 m zur Seilbahn nach Taormina oder zum Strand machen die Sache perfekt. Ausreichend Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants in nächster Nähe. Very simple flat with everything you need. Best part is you are so close to the beach and the tram.

Can’t beat the view. Rodolpho was very helpful and communication was easy. Lots of steps to the 2nd floor but we new that coming in. Coffee and breakfast at the hotel across the road was good and very convenient.

Een gezellig, schoon en compleet appartement op een toplocatie als je van drukte en gezelligheid houdt met het strand voor de deur. Het heeft een prachtig ruim balkon met uitzicht op de baai. Wij houden zelf van wat rustiger stranden maar die zijn met de auto genoeg te vinden in de nabije omgeving. Het contact met de verhuurder rudolfo was prettig. Hij spreekt goed engels en doet er alles aan om het je naar de zin te maken. Wij hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad. Wij hebben het appartement 1 week gehuurd in juli 2017.
