We are putting our lake house up for rent. Old cozy but charming 900 sq ft cottage. 3 bedrooms , 2 new queen size beds, 1 set new -smaller than normal- bunk beds. 51" flat screen TV and two 32" flat screen TV's with cable. New stainless steel appliances, pans, dishes etc. Wi-Fi, Bose radio, stereo and turntable, Table seating for 6. Front porch is perfect for reading. Back deck is close to the water with no big drop offs and sandy swimming. There is normally a and beach, but high water levels are right up to the seawall right now. Outdoor furniture and canopy.Gas grill, picnic table sits 8. 20 foot Bennington Pontoon with 40 HP and electric start is included, with your stay, but subject to not needing repairs, as well as 2 kayaks, and 2 paddle boards. New central air. Cottage faces straight west for gorgeous sunsets. This is a smaller 90 acre all sport lake but lots of fun. You can feed the swans at sunset. Easy drive near 80/90. 1:45 minutes from Chicago. Small town with restaurants. 25 minutes to Notre Dame, 20 minutes to mall, great shopping, hotels and every place to eat that you can think of. Close to fruit picking, summer festivals and 27 minutes to an outdoor theater with a drive in restaurant next door. We are trying to make your stay as great as it can be and hope you join us for many years to come. ND HOME GAMES! Stay Friday until Tuesday. Enjoy campfires after the game along with autumns amazing sunsets and full color of the trees. A beautiful time in Michigan.

The house was so welcoming from the very start. Personal touches were wonderful, like wine and chocolates, fall decorations and checking to be sure we got in safely. So clean and comfortable- we would definitely stay there again!

Family vacation

My granddaughter had a blast. The family loved having a boat.The house was clean and very well decorated. Loved going out in kayak and paddle boarding.

Beautiful Cottage

Amazing stay, property was in an great location. The views were absolutely beautiful. The cottage was clean and perfect for our stay. The hosts were great with communication and the house was set up perfectly when we arrived. We will definitely be staying again.

Fifth time staying here.

Always love it here. The lake is mostly very quiet and very clean. Caught more fish than my husband, again. So sad too bad.

Relaxing stay

It was a clean place to stay. Lots of cracks in the walls and ceilings which put us off, the uneven floor and the lack of lighting on the ceilings also wasn’t mentioned in the listing.

Relaxing stay

My family and I enjoyed our stay, especially the use of the pontoon boat. The swimming was good because it wasn't weedy. My kids enjoyed taking the floating raft out deep in the water with the anchor and jumping off. Overall the neighbors and lake were quiet and it was very relaxing.

Relaxing lake house stay

Cute little lake house. The kids stayed busy with the paddle board and kayaks. We took the pontoon to the deeper part of the lake and swam/ fished most of the day. The kids caught so many blue gills we lost count. The lake is small but not too busy so it was relaxing to not have to constantly keep an eye on other boat traffic. The owners go above and beyond to create a welcoming environment. Walked into wine, coffee and chocolates which was a nice touch.The owner is very responsive to questions.

Perfect cozy lakeside cottage

Everything about this cozy lakeside house was perfect. The location was perfect for our Notre Dame adventures. The host was very communicative with us and welcomed us with a little treat. The back deck was perfect for a morning cup of coffee and an evening glass of wine. We would love to come back in a different season and enjoy more of the amenities the lake house provides.

Relaxing and wonderful

This is the perfect cottage. The hosts have thought of everything. Very clean, nicely decorated and all the little touches made it feel like home. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed spending time with family. Great memories were made. Would highly recommend and will be back.

Wonderful stay at Sunset Beach

This was our first time visiting here and it was wonderful! The owners were so nice and responsive when we had questions. The cottage was clean and decorated so cute. It had everything we needed including comfortable beds. They left us treats for our stay which was thoughtful! Using the pontoon boat was fun and a bonus! I cant say enough nice things! Enjoyed our stay very much. Highly recommend and we will be back! Thank you!!!

What a Relief from Daily Life

You know how all those last minute things you have to do before you leave for a trip drive you crazy and cranky...well, it ALL leaves the minute you open the door to this gorgeous and cleverly decorated home. Everything you could possibly want is here including a very clean lake and a terrific pontoon boat. This is our second year here and we love it. Jim's the perfect host.

Beautiful Lake House

Sunset Beach is a beautiful and well stocked lake home. You will have everything you need. I did bring my Kuerig because I was unsure if the cottage had one and there is one! So bring your favorite K-cups! My family enjoyed the quiet lake, fishing was awesome and the boat rides at night were enjoyable.

Relaxing

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin! Lake was nice and the sunsets were beautiful! A plus was the pontoon, paddleboards and kayaks. The entrance area needed cleaning but the main living space was clean. Has everything you could possibly want in the kitchen. Decorations were cute. The deck and dock area could use repair but all in all it was nice.

We bought this cottage and totally remodeled it for ourselves. 2015 was the first time we used it. 2016 we decided to rent it out. We had a lot of fun doing the cottage and are very proud how it turned out. We added all kinds of extras to make it really nice. Retro portable radios in bedrooms, games, books, Formica table from 1959 we had shipped to us from Pennsylvania, Turntable so you can bring your old vinyls. The pontoon is great.
