The Flats in Downtown Melbourne is a unique triplex located in the heart Downtown Melbourne, just steps from shopping and dining! The Tropical Escape unit is located on the first floor, very clean, non-smoking, and artistically decorated with tropical decor to be your relaxing home away from home! The Tropical Escape comfortably accommodates two guests! It has been completely renovated, but still maintains its original historic character throughout including the original patina pine hardwood flooring, unique trim details, and claw foot tub!
Enjoy the breath taking views of dolphins playing in the Indian River Lagoon along your short ride to Melbourne Beaches! Walking distance to Manatee Park where local manatees are often seen playing in the warm waters of Crane Creek.
Many famous attractions are an hour or less from The Flats in Downtown Melbourne. Disney, Universal Studios, Wet N Wild, Kennedy Space Center, Ron Jon’s Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach and Port Canaveral just to mention a few. There are also many fun things to do in Melbourne such as canoeing in Turkey Creek, jet skiing in the Indian River Lagoon, and paddle boarding and surfing in Melbourne Beach! Also, enjoy Sea Turtle season, May- October, we are the largest sea turtle nesting area in the USA. The Suite offers a plush queen size bed. In the full bathroom you will enjoy soaking the day away in the free standing claw foot tub!
Spend your mornings by the fireplace in living room or strolling through Downtown Melbourne! You can also watch your favorite movies or local stations in the living area on the flat screen television. WiFi is available.
The full kitchen is equipped with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, kitchen utensils, pots and pan, and dishes to prepare your own home cooked meals. The unique dinette for two located in the main living area provides the perfect environment to have a glass of wine over dinner while enjoying the original fireplace!
The Tropical Escape also offers a full size washer and dryer just off the kitchen. There is a beautiful paver parking area out front, suitable for one vehicle per unit, so no need to worry about parking along the roadside in Downtown!

We were very impressed with the cleanliness and amenities of this cozy flat in downtown Melbourne. We thoroughly enjoyed the location, visiting local businesses and the waterfront. The flat is equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay from toiletries and fresh towels to coffee and a well equipped kitchen. The bed was very comfortable. The outdoor seating is a nice touch. Ashley is wonderful to work with and quickly responds to inquiries. If you enjoy historic homes and a walking community, this home will be a perfect fit for you.

Walking distance to historic district with restaurants, shops, etc and 5 minutes over causeway to beaches. Clean, well equipped and owner and manager accommodating and responsive. Stayed for a month in February. Highly recommend.

The apartment was a perfect fit for two. The fact that it is walking distance to so many places to eat is a huge plus. The quaint quiet location was perfect and the accommodations were clean and welcoming.

Perfrct!

This was perfect for what I needed, a cozy little place to just relax at. I loved it that everything is so close, all in walking distance. I never needed to drive anywhere to find a place to eat or to find little gifts. The owners are such nice people, I would for sure come back!

Quaint hideaway in old Melbourne

That says it all. This is a great place for 2 people and has everything needed to make you comfortable. I'm short so I had to be careful getting in and out of the claw footed tub, but that's my problem, and I managed, so anyone can. Plus there is plenty of hot water with good water pressure for a nice shower. Old town is just around the corner and we found plenty of fantastic places to eat.

Super Cute and Clean!

I was extremely impressed with the tropical escape property in downtown Melbourne. The apartment had everything you need to relax. I came to Melbourne for an extended stay of over thirty days and was beyond grateful that I found these accommodations. The place was extremely clean, the bed was very comfortable and they even had a washer and dryer. The apartment was walking distance to various bars, shops and night life, it was a short drive from the beach. I would recommend this place to you if your looking for a quite place to call home.

Enjoyed Our Stay!

Great location. Enjoyed the unit had all the conveniences of home. Unit was clean and comfortable. Did not like the couch in the living room, was not comfortable and bathroom was very small but adequate. Would stay here again.

Super cute and very relaxing!

We absolutely loved our 2 night stay. This rental had everything we needed. One thing I usually dread about traveling is missing my own bed, but not with this unit. The bed was super comfortable. As was all the furnishings. The town was very low key with excellent restaurants and shopping. We left feeling rejuvenated and would definitely return in the future.
