Hi Gary - many thanks for your kind review. We are delighted that you all had a great week at the house and were able to stay cool in the heat. Thanks also about your lovely comments on how we communicate. We do make it a mantra to keep in touch to make sure everything is going ok. Being a stone cottage in rural France surrounded by fields and vegetation, it is inevitable as you say that there will be some wildlife. The hot weather has meant that crickets have been more prevalent this year, but less mozzies - so, ying and yang. As regards spiders, it doesn't matter how quickly you brush the webs from the corners on each changeover, they will find a way to come back!
